The curse of the mummy 木乃伊的诅咒
霍华德.卡特是广为人知的世界最著名的探险家之一，他很勇敢，而且富有冒险精神。
他喜欢参观新的地方。
在他的一生中，他发现了很多令人惊讶的事物。
霍华德.卡特没有去过学校，但是他的身为艺术家的父亲教他绘画。
他很聪明，而且对他的家乡以外的世界很好奇。
在1891年，17岁的他起航去埃及的亚历山大。
到了20世纪20年代，他已经成为一个探索埃及国王坟墓的探险家。
他发现了好几个重要的坟墓。
在坟墓之中，他找到了珠宝、黄金和死去国王受保护的尸体。
这些受保护的尸体被称为木乃伊。
在1922年，霍华德.卡特在埃及的国王谷，做了他迄今为止做令人惊讶的发现。
他接受了卡那封勋爵的钱，卡那封勋爵是一个对埃及感兴趣的英国人。
卡特的团队在一个名为勒克索的城市附近工作。
在那里，他们发现了土坦卡蒙国王的坟墓。
那是迄今为止被发现的最重要的坟墓。
“这个坟墓藏有比以前更多的财富、黄金、珠宝和国王的木乃伊。

乔治.古尔德，卡那封的一个朋友，在听说他的失望后去了埃及。
他也去参观了坟墓，第二天就发高烧。
12小时后，他死了。
卡特的秘书，查理徳.贝赛尔，在坟墓打开后的四个月后死于心脏问题。
阿瑟.梅斯，团队中的另一个成员，也在发现坟墓不久后死亡。
在7年之内，21个跟打开的的坟墓有关系的人死去。
但是，霍华德.卡特活下来了，65岁是才死去。
一些人说，这些死亡只是巧合。
另一些人相信，那是木乃伊诅咒的结果，来惩罚那些进入尸体休息地方的人。
然而，仍然有一些人相信有一个科学的解释。
在坟墓之中，有许多病毒。
一旦吸入，它们能够致使生病甚至死亡。
