我手中拿着外婆早已为我点好的香柱，走上前去，跪下身躯，那墓碑上篆刻的楷字已被风雨侵蚀，粗劣的痕印条条片片。黑白照片中的外公，笑容依旧，两颗晶莹的眸子深情地望着我，饱含了千言万语，最终，却只有无声的微笑。他的双眸宛若珍珠，缓缓地，跌入尘埃里，再无光彩。泪水模糊了我的视线。
外公去世得早，关于外公的记忆，在我的脑海里只有浅浅的一道痕迹。然而这道痕迹却深深地承载着我最美好的童年，最温暖的画面。
那是我五岁时的秋季，天气很是糟糕，平日里活蹦乱跳的我着凉了，急性肠胃炎让我不得不住院。我永远忘不了那个雨后的下午，一向身体不好的外公拄着拐杖来医院看我，我忘不了他当时焦虑、担忧的眼神，忘不了他那粗糙的大手一遍遍抚摸我的脸颊时的情景。睡到朦胧时，不知是否我的幻觉，我竟看见一向坚强的外公在悄悄抹眼泪，听见他嘴里低喃着：“这病最是难受，啥都不能吃，我一把年纪了，让我来受这苦吧，干嘛要让孩子难受……”妈妈赶紧止住了外公的话。后来怎样也就不记得了，只知道醒来后，我看见外公靠在我的床边睡着了，那是已是深夜，但外公却一直守着我。
