第七课属于第三单元，第三单元以“festival”为话题，主要谈论Halloween，Thanksgiving Day, Christmas.现在我来谈谈我这一节课的设计思路：本节课是新路径英语第11册Lesson 7 Halloween的第一课时.万圣节对于孩子们来说是一个陌生的节日，他们对万圣节充满好奇。
Lesson7教学内容的编排不能满足孩子们对万圣节的求知欲望。
因此，我把该教材作了整理，让孩子们全面了解和理解万圣节的文化。
我把课文作了改编，添加了更多关于万圣节的元素。
第一课时主要学习与万圣节有关的单词和感受万圣节，以及体验万圣节所带来的快乐。
本节课的重点放在新单词的学习和体验Halloween。
希望通过本节课让学生记住万圣节这个西方人的节日，了解万圣节的来历，并亲身体验万圣节带给他们的快乐。
第一个环节：问候和引入，从日常会话过渡到节日，引出Halloween.通过观看视频，初步感受万圣节，通关于万圣节的图片，体验scary，引出scary thing。
第二个环节：1.通过听录音，回答第一和第二个问题。
在这个过程中，教授新单词，并理解万圣节的来历和感悟很久以前人们是怎样过万圣节的。
第三个环节：通过听录音并跟读，回答第三个和第四个问题，带领学生理解当今西方国家怎样万圣节。
第四个环节：学生跟读文章第二段，回答第五和第六个问题，让学生充分体验万圣节带来的“fun”。
第五个环节：根据板书，带领学生回忆并总结今天所学知识。
板书分为scary things 和fun两部分。
Scary things 包括black cats, bats, ghosts ,witches and devils.Fun 包括 have parties, play tricks on people, dress up as, play the game“Trick or Treat”and get candies.第六个环节：学生根据图片复述短文和分小组复述短文。
