notuntill与not ...until的用法not...until的基本含义是直到...才，在...以前不。
not...until的三种用法有：基本结构、强调句结构、倒装句结构。
一、not...until的基本结构基本结构：not主句+until+从句例句：We did not get off the busuntil it stopped.直到车停了，我们才下了公交车。
二、not...until的强调句结构强调句结构：It is / was not until+从句/表时间的词+that+主句1、not until 后边一般是时间点，如：It was not until midnight that it stopped raining. 直到半夜雨才停下来。

我们可以注意到，在以上列举的例句中，“It is/was not until .... that 从句”句式中的“that 从句”部分都是采用一般的陈述语序(类似于宾语从句)。

高考英语复习：not …until …句型的强调句
1、句型为：It is/ was not until + 被强调部分+ that + 其它部分
普通句：He didn't go to bed until/ till his wife came back.
强调句：It was not until his wife came back that he went to bed. 2、注意：此句型只用until，不用till。
但如果不是强调句型，till, until 可通用；因为句型中It is/ was not …已经是否定句了，that后面的从句要用肯定句，切勿再用否定句了。
谓语动词的强调
1、It is/ was …that …结构不能强调谓语，如果需要强调谓语时，用助动词do/ does或did。
