Module 1 Unit 1It’s more than twenty thousand kilometres long.教案一、设计思路本课的教学对象是学过三年英语的六年级学生，此阶段学生天真活泼，好奇心强，有较强的模仿能力和求知欲望，而且富有一定的逻辑思维能力，对英语的喜欢已初步体现出个性。
本课关注学生的学习兴趣和学习体验，培养学生搜集和处理信息的能力、获取新知识的能力、分析和解决问题的能力以及交流与合作的能力。
二、教材分析本课是外研社三年级起点六年级上册第一模块的第一单元的教学内容，是语言呈现课，以谈论明信片为导线，引出长城，纽约，北京等话题，学习怎样谈论一个地方，例如一个景点、一个城市等。
学习用较大的数字表达长度，人口数量等。
三、学情分析学生在之前的英语学习过程中已经具备了较强的音标拼读和在教师同伴的帮助下泛读课文的能力，在这学期的课文教学中将侧重于帮助学生真正理解课文，进一步学习归纳概括，完成各种学习任务，提高英语的综合语言运用能力，同时注重培养学生积极与他人交流合作，相互学习，共同完成任务的能力，乐于运用英语进行表达和交流的能力。
教学方法：提倡任务型教学模式，要求尽量创造真实的语言环境，引导学生在任务情境中学习语言，注重教学内容与学生生活相结合，实现“学以致用”的教学目标。
同时适时、合理地借助多媒体来优化教学过程，以激发学生的学习兴趣，提高学生的信心。
四、教学目标1、知识目标：能掌握新授词组及单词more than，thousand，kilometre，something，million。
能听说、认读句型“Tell me more…/ How big…/ How long…/ It’s got…/It’s about…”。
2、能力目标：能运用句型“How big is it? How long is it?”对某事物或某地区的特征进行提问，并能运用千以上较大的数字回答。
3、情感、态度目标：培养学生在各种任务中积极与他人合作的良好学习习惯，通过对家乡和祖国的介绍，培养学生热爱家乡和祖国的情感。
五、教学重点和难点重点：1、单词：thousand，kilometre，million等。
2、句型：Tell me more…，How long/big is…?难点：用本课所学的基本句型How long/big is…? 等描述某个地方或某事物的情况。
六、课前准备教师从网络上搜集符合本课教学需要的音视频及图片材料，然后根据学生的认知特点进行筛选整合，制作成一套本课时所需的多媒体课件。
另外，准备好分发给学生的补充听力和阅读练习材料以及录音机等教学用具。
七、教学过程1、热身复习。
1）老师热情的问候学生们，欢迎他们在暑假过后回到学校。
How are you ,boys and girls? Welcome back to school.2）老师可以询问学生们在假期里都去了哪些地方，做了哪些事情，有没有特别有趣的经历。
Where did you go in summer holiday? What did you do in summer holiday? Have you got interesting things to tell me?3）建议他们通过展示图片和照片介绍相关的情况，可以使用句型“It’s a picture of…,It’s very…”等。
2、任务呈现与课文导入。
1）老师从学生的图片或照片中选取比较典型的并提问：“Do you know this place?”引导全班学生自由回答。
2）回答完毕后，老师总结：“These photos are great.”。
出示长城的明信片。
老师问：“Do you know this place?”。
引导学生回答：“Yes, it’s the Greatwall. It’s a picture of the Great Wall.”。
老师再问：“Is it long or short ?”（It’s long.）3）用讲故事的形式告诉学生：在这个暑假里，Daming去了美国旅游，并在那里经历了很多有趣的事情。
刚到表哥Simon家，行李还没有收拾好，Daming和Simon就迫不及待的聊开了。
3、课件展示及课文教学。
1）学习新单词thousand，kilometre，million等。
（在这一环节教师注重引导学生归纳总结字母组合的发音规律，帮助孩子学习本课新词且马上让学生拼读含有该字母组合的其它单词，让学生感受学而有法的快乐。
）2）展示课件。
然后描述某一地点，除了书中的长城、纽约和北京，还可以有所拓展，如上海，宁夏等。
（这个环节让学生在任务的驱动下，有目的地去学习，有利于明确学生学习的目的性，提高学习的主动性。
）3）课件出示并播放录音。
（这个环节让学生有的放矢地重点听预习时觉得有困难的地方，总体感知课文内容。
）4）再次播放录音问学生问题：“Are these postcards great ? How long is the Great Wall? How big is New York? How big is Beijing?”（给学生足够的时间思考，鼓励学生尽量不看书根据听到的内容来回答，但如果有困难需要可以先阅读看着课文再回答问题，为程度较弱的孩子降低难度。
）5）课件出示并第三遍播放录音，给出答案“These postcards are great. The Great Wall is more than twenty thousand kilometres long. New York has got more than eight million people. Beijing has got about twenty million people.”。
给出学生自由朗读时间。
（这一环节着重引导学生抓关键的信息点概括全文）6）讲解课文重点句型：A. These postcards are great.B. It’s a pict ure of the Great Wall.C. How long is the Great Wall? It’s more than twenty thousand kilometers long.D. How big is Beijing? It has got about million people.4、练习环节。
师生间、小组间展开互动讨论课文及以外的几个地点，试着用本课所学重点句型描述该地点，如长江、福建、四川等。
1）Talking about Beijing.（由天安门广场问“Where is Tian’an Men Square?”引出Beijing，课件出示Beijing 及The Great Wall、Water Cube、Bird’s Nest继而引导学生用Beijing has got…句型描述北京）2）Talking about Shanghai.（课件出示上海地图，上海的美景等图让学生感知上海后，给学生一些句型的提示让学生通过group work活动完成对上海的描述。
）……待所有的图全部出示完，让学生在小组里自由发挥用4-6个句子来描述自己所选地。
（这个环节由比较知名的地点的描述过渡到对自己的家乡的描述，循序渐进的增加难度，这样层层递进的教学让学生学无障碍，学得积极，也可测试学生学习情况。
）5、游戏环节。
1）Listen and say.让学生根据图上的内容设计对话。
2）Play a game: Tell me more.这个游戏由两个人一组，学生A从图片中选一张（不要说出自己的选择）并进行简单的描述，学生B要试着根据描述猜出这个物品是什么。
如果学生B无法根据描述猜出该物品是什么，他要使用“Tell me more.”请求获得更多信息，直到正确猜出该物品为止。
老师可以先选择一张图，然后请学生提出问题并猜测，如：teacher (T) student (S)T: It’s an animal.S: Tell me more.T: It’s very big.接下来小组互相出示卡片，互换角色进行场景操练。

这种倾向是和一定的情感联系着的，学生一旦对学习发生了兴趣，就能倾向于学习，形成学习的内部驱动力，从而产生积极的学习行为。
在本课的实际教学过程中，首先通过问答环节将他们轻松引入到了本课的主题，为下面进一步深入学习作好铺垫。
在之后的教学环节中，图文并茂的讲解和练习都极大地激发了学生的兴趣和学习积极性，使课堂教学的效率大大提高。
总而言之，英语课程改革的出发点和最终目标就是使学生形成自主学习能力。
教师的教是为了达到不教，所以我注重传授学生获取知识的方法，注重了学生听、说、读、写能力的培养与训练，从而达到创造性运用语言的目的。
