本单元的话题是保持健康。
本课是一个长篇对话，讲的是Danny晚饭后甜点吃了10个面包圈，导致胃疼，凌晨三点钟叫醒父母，父亲迅速穿衣带他去医院看医生的故事，对话分两个场景——家里和医院，通过本课学习使学生掌握看医生的用语。
九年级的学生具有一定的英语学习基础，对英语有较强的兴趣，有较好的语言交际技能，思维活跃，有表现欲。
他们在七八年级时就已经学了一些就医用语，如：What’s wrong with you? I have a headache. My stomach hurts.等，再学本课应该比较容易。
我讲课时运用了网上的教学资源和教参附带的教学光盘，先用一首flash歌曲热身，活跃课堂气氛，复习身体部位，顺着歌里的那个Poor boy讨论Think About It中的When you don’t feel well, what do you usually do?。
接着设计了一个非常简单的听力问题What’s wrong with Dan ny?让学生由易入手进入本课学习,然后快速读课文，找出问题答案，了解对话大意，再利用PPT教授生词和短语。
通过观看一段光盘中的视频，激发学生的兴趣，再进行对话角色扮演，归纳总结就医用语，然后利用PPT图片提供的情境编对话，对本课所学语言进行活用、提升，最后再做一篇听力练习，让学生张弛有度，轻松完成本课学习任务。
二、教学目标1.知识与技能(1)掌握词汇及短语：stomach, regret doing, have a fever, pale, examination, pardon, take an X-ray。
(2)能够运用所学知识就看医生的话题进行对话，训练学生听说读写的技能。
2.过程与方法(1)能够通过师生说、生生说和自主听读体验交际式英语教学的一般过程，掌握英语说听的基本方法；(2)能够通过小组对话练习，体验合作学习的过程和方法；(3)能够仔细倾听老师和同学的发言，有语言表达和与同学交流的愿望。
