A major advantage of radio announcements is that they are usually cheaper than television ads, and many people still listen to the radio,for example, when they are in taxies or in their own cars.TV commercials are usually very expensive. But it is said that ads on TV have a very good effect because TV is becoming more and more popular. Ads can more or less make consumers change their attitudes toward some products or services. Advertising plays mimportant role in the commercial bussiness.However, it is known that some ads give false information to mislead consumers. Some famous persons sometimes appear in ads to tell how wonderful a product is. They help to make us believe that if we buy their products, we will be happier, healthier,more attractive, more popular, more successful, etc. In fact, what they want is just to make us pay more money. So,it is necessary that we make sure what is ral and what is false in the ads。

Unit 9 Welcome to join our club!一、单元内容分析本单元的教学重点是掌握关于活动及爱好的短语与词汇。
能够听懂谈及申请加入某一俱乐部的相关对话;正确及熟练运用相关表达与句型就申请条件用英语进行询问和了解;能读懂关于加入俱乐部益处的短文,并能仿照短文写出加入学校某俱乐部的益处。
本单元通过复习个人爱好,引出俱乐部的活动这个话题,与学生的生活联系紧密,学生对其很感兴趣。
本单元需识记的词汇和短语较多,针对学生的实际情况,教师应该通过合理的设计,帮助学生有效地完成听、说、读、写四个任务,为后面的练习以及语言的输出做好充足的准备。
在教学的过程中教师可充分利用参加俱乐部相关活动等相关语言活动,让学生在个体或集体活动中充分练习申请加入俱乐部的相关句型。
