华中科技大学大学英语课程免修管理办法(试行)

华中科技大学大学英语课程免修管理办法(试行)一、总则第一条为进一步深化我校大学英语教学改革,扩展学生的国际视野,提高我校的国际化办学水平,我校大学英语课程将实施新的学分制分层次教学模式。
第二条为贯彻“以学生为中心的教育”战略,充分调动学生英语学习的主动性、挖掘学生内在潜能,培养学生英语综合应用能力、自主学习能力以及跨文化交流能力,学校决定试行英语课程免修制度。
为规范英语课程免修的管理,特制定此办法。
二、课程分类第三条大学英语的教学目标:普通班(G类):学生通过两学年英语学习,要求英语水平达到教育部《大学英语课程教学要求》规定的普通要求;提高班(A类):学生通过两学年英语学习(或自学),要求英语水平达到教育部《大学英语课程教学要求》规定的较高或更高要求。
第四条大学英语的课程设置:基础课程:指综合英语技能和学习策略等通用大学英语课程,分为“基础英语I”和“基础英语II”两门课程;提高课程:指在基础阶段大学英语课中传授、培养专门语言技能和文化知识的课程,分为听说类课程(LS类)和读写类课程(RW类)。
第五条大学英语的分层:学校在新生入学的第一周举行英语水平摸底考试,测试学生的听、说、读、写、译等综合能力。
外国语学院根据学生摸底考试成绩确定普通班(G类)和提高班A1类、A2类学生名单;再根据相关英语水平证明材料及面试成绩,确定A3类学生名单。
提高班A1类的学习对象为英语基础良好的学生,提高班A2类的学习对象为英语基础优秀的学生,提高班A3类的学习对象为英语基础特优的学生。
各类各层次班的课程分类见附件1。
三、免修学分认定第六条 A2类和A3类学生具有免修大学英语课程的资格。
A2类学生可申请免修大学英语8学分的课程,A3类学生可申请免修大学英语12学分(即全部学分)的课程。
第七条申请A3类的学生,必须满足下列条件之一:1. 新生入校后的摸底考试成绩拔尖;2. 在下列英语考试之一中成绩优秀:TOEFL (总分达到100/120分或以上)、IELTS (达到7分或以上)、SAT(reading部分达到650/800分或以上)、ACT(总分达到30/36分或以上),考试时间距申请免修时间不超过2年;3. 在以英语为第一或第二语言国家高中阶段连续学习一年以上;4. 提供其它可以证明英语水平已经达到或超过我校要求的有效证明材料。

.当登录的学生可以进行网上选课时如图2.2所示,图2.1 选课页面点击‘下一步’进入查看学生的“按课堂选课”的可选课程的页面,如图2.3,当选课的‘当前已选学生人数’等于‘上课容量’时‘操作’中的‘选课’按钮将不能使用。
点击‘上课时间和地点’中的详情,可查看课堂的上课时间和地点的详细情况(其中紫色的为该课堂在该时间内有课,鼠标放上面会有具体的上课地点);点击‘课程名称’可以连接到课程平台查看课程的详细信息;点击‘任课老师’的名字可以连接到WHO系统查看老师的详细信息,图2.3 查看可选课程当学生可已选课时,点击‘选课’按钮,进入如图2.4所示页面的提示信息页面图2.4 选课提示页面如点击‘确认’按钮即进入选课的结果的页面,如图2.5所示;如果点击‘取消’按钮即取消选课。
点击‘查看已修英语课程’即进入如图3.1所示页面;点击‘继续选课’即进入如图2.1多是页面。
