1.整体设计思路、指导依据说明
本节课是新目标七年级下册第8单元Section B部分的第二课时，本单元的语言功能为：问路和指路。本节课学生将通过阅读三段短文，学习介绍居住处所的街区位置，学生运用有效的阅读策略能熟悉掌握本课时的重点词汇和句型。根据《英语新课程标准》，本人主要运用任务型教学法，情景教学法 ,阅读课型的p-w-p 教学原则，按照任务新教学的基本理念，课堂任务的设计选择贴近学生实际生活的内容，提供符合真实生活的学习情境，通过自主、合作、探究培养学生主动学习英语的兴趣、自学能力、合作能力。
2.教学背景分析
教学内容分析：
本部分是在Section A的基础上进一步拓展话题，同样围绕邻里社区的各种设施和场所位置，让学生通过各种活动，了解如何利用英语问路和指路，最后学会用英文描述自己的街坊邻里。本课时2a-2c是阅读教学部分，这一部分图文并茂，展现了三个学生所居住环境的的社区状况，阅读材料展现了本单元的重点词汇，语法，功能项目，内容丰富，便于帮助学生掌握和巩固本单元所学知识。
通过本课时的学习，在语言技能上，学生能正确地朗读课文。在阅读技能上，学生能通过快速阅读、细节阅读能正确获取文本中三个关于居住的社区环境状况的信息。在情感态度上，学生能认识到学习英语的目的在于交流和能将所学语言运用到真实的语境中给他人提供帮助。
