我国著名的教育家陈鹤琴说过:“小孩子生来是好玩的,是以游戏为生命的。”好奇、好动、好强、好学是儿童的普遍特征,因此我们应抓住小学生这一心理特点,在教学过程中有意识地穿插听、说、玩、演、唱、画等多种教学活动,有的放矢,激发学生的学习兴趣,使其在玩中学,学中乐,使课堂充满生机活力,有效提高课堂效率。

我结合“新课程标准”的要求,以PEP Primary English 第一册Unit 4 We Love Animals为例,根据“单词”、“句型”与“对话”三大环节谈谈如何激发和保持学生兴趣。

1.单词

单词是英语学习的基础,但记单词尤其是令英语初学者头疼。作为老师一定不能让学生产生“怕学”的心理,所以在单词教学中一定要根据学生好奇,好动,好强等特点,在其中穿插听、说、玩、演、唱、画等多种活动把单词教活。

一、通过多种活动使学生在玩乐中不断重复练习,在不觉中“上口”了。 1)Mouth words. 如pan da 由两个音节组成,老师只读/p ? n/, /dз/只做口型,让学生猜,以此引起他们的兴趣,反过来亦然。2)Quick response. 快速反应,提高难度。老师大声讲,学生小声学;老师音量变小,学生则变大。再来个竞赛,他们热情就更高了。3) Music chair. 即击鼓传花。游戏开始,学生不断重复念同一新单词,当听到“Stop!”时球在谁的手上谁就要回答问题,否则表演。4) Passing game.传话游戏。等等。

二、在游戏中练、熟,在玩中练,玩中学。 1)借助多媒体和实物,从听觉、视觉等多方面刺激学生,激发他们的学习兴趣,如“猜一猜”。本单元以动物学习为主,我们就可让学生听“mew-mew-mew”猜动物“cat”;只让学生看到动物的某一部分,让其猜猜,如猪鼻子,猜“pig ”;看食物,猜动物,看红萝卜猜“rabbit”。在黑袋子里摸动物玩具,看谁最灵。等等。 2)简笔画。一笔一画逐一画上去,看谁最快猜出来。 3)盖棉胎,看图片或看单词,拍一拍,

看谁反应快。 4)把新单词串起来,改编成歌谣。如把“I Have Two Hands. ”改成“We Love Animals.”We love animals, we love animals. Here they are, here they are. Monkey, panda and rabbit, monkey panda and rabbit, cat and dog, cat and dog.

三、“认”,在活动中完成。如,练反应,先看pan 后看da 猜“panda”;给图片配单词,对号入座;把单词卡分别放在上下左右四个方向,学生打手势,进行淘汰,把反应最慢的淘汰出局。激烈有趣。

2.句型

在熟悉单词的基础上,在情景中灵活运用新句型。

1、在呈现新单词时也可顺带出新句型,多个新单词不断重复,他们也就熟悉了。

2、创设情景,也可让他们自己动脑筋,想一想,如

买了新玩意儿,来炫耀炫耀,或发现新东西。

3、创设情景,在游戏中练。 1)Find and say. “Look, I have a cat.”2 ) Guessing game. 若猜到就可拿到礼物并说“Look, I have a duck.” 3 ) Talk about your favourite animals.4 )综合运用。听录音,根据录音内容帮动物找主人。如:“Hello, I’m Sarah. I have a dog.”于是便可知道“dog”的主人“Sarah”啦。

单词句型解决了。课文对话也就水到渠成了。首先我们通过“问”,指图问答;“读”,朗读课文;“讲”,讲故事;“演”,分角色表演等步骤,注重课堂引导,培养学生扩展运用语言能力。然后再通过丰富的课外活动开发学生自主学习能力。

1、串,引导学生把所学的小故事有机串联成一个更大的故事;

2、编,通过想象,改编或发展故事;

3、赛,启动竞赛机制,激发学生的热情。实践证明,通过问、读、讲、演、串、编、赛的方式来进行故事教学,能进一步提高学生学习英语的兴趣,培养学生运用语言的能力和发展学生自主学习

能力。

二、备好课是激发学生兴趣的前提

怎么样能够做到在课堂上激发学生的兴趣,上好一堂课呢?如果课前不做好充分的准备,也是不行的。备好课是如何在课堂上激发学生兴趣,调控好一堂课的前提。备课直接影响到一节课的成功与否,因此,我们每一位教师都必须在上课前做好各方面的准备,以学生为主体,精心设计教案,做到备课,备材料,备人。

备课,备教材是我们每一位老师在上课前都会做的事情,但是备人也就是备学生却是很多老师都没有做到的,有的老师有时会抱怨为什么课前备课备的好好的,而且小孩子也会很感兴趣,为什么上课的结果总是不如人意,这除了要做到在上课时有课堂调控能力,另外就是要备学生,平时要了解学生的具体情况,了解学生的兴趣。从激发学生学英语的愿望和热情出发,以培养学生学英语的兴趣为出发点,精心组织课堂教学并实施贯穿教学全过程的最有效的教

学方法。这就需要我们的老师在备课前要掌握好学生的具体学习情况并且作到潜心研究,诸如,学生的学习方法和学习习惯、每天花费在英语上的时间、学英语当中遇到的困难等等。只有了解学生,才能知道其兴趣所在,了解学生才能调控好课堂,上好一堂英语课。

总之,要想把一堂英语课上好,在课前必须做大量的准备查阅大量的资料,只有做到自己心中百分之百的准备,才能真正的上好一堂英语课。以上只是自己在教学时间过程中,就如何上好一堂英语课做的初浅探索,还有待于今后不断的完善和充实。

设计意图:小学英语新课程标准强调指出:英语教学要重视对学生实际语言运用能力的培养,强调课程从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验和认识水平出发,倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式和任务型的教学途径,发展学生的综合语言运用能力。也就是说,要通过适合儿童年龄、心理和生理特点的生动活泼的课堂活动,把学习英语与用英语做事情联系起来,创设良好的语言环境和语用环境,使学生在愉快和自信的情绪中,保持积极的学习态度,在大量的语言实践中形成语感,养成良好的英语学习习惯。 这是我们贯彻―新课程标准‖,运用―新课程标准‖教学的关键所在。 我将本课教学分为以下几个环节: 一、课前寻找、激发兴趣 本课涉及的生词不多,但它和我们的生活息息相关,一提出问题就收到了意想不到的效果,同学们马上就想知道平常我们口中称呼的爸爸、妈妈、爷爷、奶奶的英语叫法。我没有告诉他们答案,让他们自己去找。象dad(爹地), mom(妈咪)这些称呼在他们接触英语前都从港台电视上所熟知。上课时百分之百的同学会说dad(爹地), mom(妈咪),大多数同学会说(uncle)安可,(aunt)安娣。从一开始就刺激了同学们强烈的好奇心,使他们产生强烈的求知欲。 二、歌曲导入、初步感知 唱英语歌是学习英语的一种好方法。课前一首歌,可以使学生精神饱满,思想集中,做好上课准备。课中一首歌,不仅能减轻学生的心理负荷,减少疲劳,又使学生在轻松愉快的气氛中学会新词、新句型。课外几首歌,有利于开展第二课堂活动,以巩固所学知识。例:教学本课时,我们以歌曲导入,播放―Boy and Girl‖:―I‘m a boy and you are a girl. I‘m a girl and you are a boy. Do you want to be my friend?‖根据歌词中提到的boy, girl出示男孩,女孩的图片,并让说到该性别单词的学生站起来大声说。在这种活泼欢快的气氛中,在这种互动的形式下,既训练了学生―听‖的能力,又让他们初步感知了有关他们性别的英语单词。 三、近交流,借物练说 用―振救大行动‖的游戏进行比赛,男女同学各一组,老师走到一个同学前问―Are a boy/girl?‖如果他/她回答正确了,就可以从―鳄鱼‖嘴里挽救回他们组的一个人[把这些虚拟的人和鳄鱼都画大黑板上],否则就被―鳄鱼‖吃掉。 在学生充分练说的基础上,让几组同桌同学试说,要求其他同学认真听,听他们说得是否符合要求,培养学生良好的听说态度和习惯。练说内容层层深入,范围逐步扩大,为学生提供自主学习和相互交流的机会及充分表现和自我发展的空间,让学生能在掌握新知的基础上,做到新旧结合,从而培养―说‖的能力。 四、课外延伸,学以致用 小学英语的最终目的是使学生掌握以交际为目的的最初步运用英语的能力。为让学生能把课上所学的知识运用到实际生活中去,我们在课后尽量让学生用英语与老师和同学作交流,如开展―英语一分钟讲坛‖,让学生谈论学校、老师、家庭及个人爱好等。用英语Asking the questions、Greetings、Conversations及用英语道谢、告别。让学生在日常生活中恰当地自然地运用英语,真正做到学以致用。 教学目标(Teaching aims): 1、Let‘s learn 能听、说、认读本课有关家庭成员的主要单词man: brother,,father(dad), grandfather(grandpa); woman: sister, mother(mom), grandmother(grandma) 2、Let‘s sing 本部分是通过学唱英文歌曲,巩固所学单词,培养学生的学习兴趣。 教学难点/重点(Teaching keys):
