一．说教材
1．本课的地位和作用
本课是新目标英语七年级上册第8单元第一课时，教材以 when is your birthday? 为中心话题。
Section A 是本单元的重点部分，也是核心教学。
主要学习日期的表达。
它上承Unit7 的数字教学，下接SectionB与以后有关日期的英语教学。
，因此本部分是前后知识的载体，在本单元以及今后的英语学习中都占重要的地位。
2．教学目标
《课程标准》中说：英语教学的目的是培养学生运用语言进行交际的能力，为用而学，在用中学，学了就用。
因此我把本课的教学目标定为以下几个方面：
（1）知识目标
①词汇掌握 1－12月份的表达序数词1－31
②日常交际用语 when is your birthday?
My birthday is ….
③语法日期表达法
（2）能力目标
在连贯的听说读写活动中，训练学生的逻辑思维，快速反应能力和实践能力，使学生能熟练应用：when is your birthday? 句型及其回答。
（3）情感目标
热爱生命，孝敬父母的思想教育
3．本课的重点难点和关键点及其理论依据
根据《课程标准》，重点是句型when is your birthday ? 及其回答.难点是日期表达中月份和日期的正确使用。
关键点是：正确熟练运用when is your birthday ?My birthday is ….句型。
二、说教法
教学的实质是交际，为此我选用了以下教法：
1．提问引入法通过提问，集体，分组，分行回答，或学生逐个回答的形式开展教学，检查和巩固新旧知识。
2．交际功能法通过集体，分组，两人，个人操练等形式，达到交际的目的。
三、说学情、说学法。
在学习日期的表达法时要先学习序数词的构成，学生在以前的课程里已经学习了基数词，对于两种数词之间的区别一定会令学生感到头痛，教师要引导学生运用对比的方法，找出构成规律，总结特殊变化，对比强化记忆。
依据新课改的精神，我从以下几个方面对学生进行学法指导。
⒈学习方法的指导
培养学生观察力，想象力，记忆力以及思维能力。
用生动的课件调动学生的感观进行听说读写的训练。
⒉学习积极性的调动
我在教学过程中创造一种开放的，和谐的，积极互动的语言氛围，把课堂变成有声有色的舞台，让学生在乐中学。
⒊学习能力的培养
通过连贯的听说读写，游戏，竞赛等，培养学生的交际能力，发展他们的思维能力。
针对本课的内容，我采用了五步教学法：第一步：热身激活旧知识，创设轻松活跃的课前气氛。
；第二步：呈现呈现新内容，感知新内容；第三步：操练用多种方式操练新知识；第四步：巩固通过游戏，听力练习和笔头练习相结合的方式，巩固新知识。
第五步：应用让学生在用中学，乐中学，学了就用。
四．说教学过程
本课以交际为核心教学，我采用五步教学法，并且灵活穿插使用各步教学。
Step1 warm up(热身)
① Greeting 体现师生之间的初步交际
②根据实际情况，用句型：what is your telephone number? 询问学生的电话号码，复习数字，激活旧知识，为学习新知识做铺垫。
问学生are you happy today?告诉学生
说： I am very happy today .Because today is my birthday.would you like to sing a song for me? 集体唱生日快乐歌。
营造轻松活跃的课堂气氛，让学生带着积极活跃的心情进入课堂。
Step2 Presentation(呈现)
①利用歌曲的承上启下作用，说：
Today is my birthday? When is your birthday?
How to say our birthday dates? 引出月份的教学。
然后播放1a 部分的录音, 让学生进行模仿。
②利用多媒体手段，在一页页翻动的日历中学习1－12月的新单词
采用集体，分组，分排，两人，个人轮流等方式操练。
再利用卡片操练，加深印象。
③（学生基本掌握月份单词的读音后) 教师可以指着挂历说：
My birthday is Nov.21st.．When is your birthday? 从而引出本单元的重点目标语言“日期的询问和表达”。
加重语气重复21，让学生初步感知序数词的读法。
自然呈现序数词的教学。
做相关练习1b 和设计的练习，将听说读写有机结合，巩固新知识。
④序数词教学过程中，让学生观察，归纳序数词的变化规律，培养学生的观察力，注意力和总结归纳能力。
最后总结出：“基变序，有规律，词尾加上th。

”在教学中充分体现启发性教学原则。
⑤用卡片突出操练序数词中的几个特殊的数字，突破难点。

⑥播放2a 部分的录音让学生听，引导学生跟读、模仿，完成2a 部分的教学任务。
⑦．播放2b 部分的录音，引导学生圈出所听到的数字，完成2b 部分中的听力训练任务。
再播放2b 部分的录音，引导学生填写表格，将姓名、月份和日期对应起来，完成2c 部分的教学任务。
Step3. consolidation [kənˌsɑləˈdeʃən](巩固)找朋友游戏：部分学生手持缺
了部分字母的单词，说:where is my friend? 手上持有该单词确了部分的同学战起来说: I am here .该活动主要是通过游戏方式巩固新单词，并且增添课堂的趣味性，使学生始终保持良好的学习状态。
Step4. practise
① Ask and answer 反复操练句型：
when is your birthday? My birthday is ….引导学生展开Pairwork 活动，完成2d 部分口语交际的教学任务。
让学生先阅读对话，再进行问答练习，运用When is your ／his ／her birthday? My ／His ／Her birthday is …通过集体练，小组练，两人练，个人轮流练习等方式，训练学生的语音，语调，提高语感。
Step5.Homework
a. Make an English calendar. (仿照Page 47 1a 的英文日历）。
b.把下列基数词变为序数词。

通过互相询问生日的日期，可以增进同学之间的了解和友情并学会在英语交流中注意他人的情感。
(四)学习策略目标：1.Disscussion. 通过小组讨论、开展调查等研究，明确在用中学、交流中学习的想法。
2.Classifying. 通过分类法，可简化学习过程，利于记忆。
3.Guessing. 通过猜测，并大胆发言，以学习新知。
二、学生分析学情分析学生对自己的生日话题均感兴趣，该主题容易展开，学生互相之间谈论起来，能够做到循序渐进，起到寓教于乐的教学效果。
本课围绕When is your birthday?展开话题，讨论每位学生及其周围人的生日及如何表达，内容涉及有12个月份的生词、序数词1st-31st 及简单的明信片写法。

Unit8 When is your birthday ? 说课设计九中周秀静一. 教材及学情分析：本课是人教版七年级上册第八单元Section A(1a-2d)的知识内容，从教材的整体建构来看，在七年级第一，二，四单元，学生已经学习了形容性物主代词，名词所有格，同时在第一和第七单元学生也已经掌握了基数词的读法，写法以及它的应用。
而学生对这些知识的掌握也为学习本节课打下了基础。
本节课主要是谈论生日，学习日期的表达。
根据本课在教材中的地位和作用，知识内容，结合学生情况，我制定了以下教学目标，重难点，及教学方法和手段。
二. 教学目标：(一) 知识目标：（1）学习序数词的构成及日期的表达，包括日期的写法和读法。
（2）学习如何询问和表达日期。
（3）句型：When is your birthday ? My birthday is October tenth.(二) 情感目标：（1）通过谈论同学及父母的生日，学生之间可以了解彼此，并且可以加深同学之间的友谊，孩子们也可以更关爱他们的父母。

在本节课我主要发动学生自己动手动脑，独立思考，总结，对比，归纳知识，让学生亲自体验知识的生成过程。
通过设置游戏，对话任务，加强学生对语言的掌握能力。
同时教师运用现代化教学手段落——多媒体辅助教学，贯穿整个教学过程，增加直观感和趣味性。
加大课堂密度，提高教学效果。
根据以上教学目标，重难点及教学方法和手段，我设计了以下教学过程。

在学习日期的表达法时要涉及到序数词的学习，学生在上个单元里已经学习了基数词，对于两者之间的区别一定会令学生感到头痛，因而在本节课里只针对在对话中出现的几个序数词作一点简单的讲解，让学生初步感知，为下一课时的深入学习作铺垫。
