My family and I always go apple picking at the local orchards. It's a joy to wander through the rows of trees, picking crisp, juicy apples right off the branches to snack on. Sometimes we'll also go pumpkin picking at a farm nearby. Bringing home a bunch of pumpkins is one of my favorite autumn traditions because then we get to carvejack-o-lanterns for Halloween!Ah yes, Halloween - another highlight of the fall season! The decorations everywhere with skeletons, ghosts, cobwebs, and jack-o-lanterns also always get me into the Halloween spirit. And let's not forget about stocking up on all the delicious seasonal candy like candy corn, caramel apples, and chocolate bars shaped like pumpkins!In addition to Halloween, autumn has its fair share of other special events and holidays too. Every year, my family gets together for Thanksgiving dinner with all the classic dishes like turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie. Cannonballs are a must, of course! And no summer is complete without at least one trip to the beach to play in the ocean waves.Even though it's vacation time, summer doesn't mean I get to be a total couch potato. There are certain chores and responsibilities I still have to take care of, like keeping my room clean, helping out around the house, and practicing my musical instrument. But you know what?
