如何用新概念英语第二册学习英语写作
《新概念英语》从第二册开始设置写作练习，而第二册的适用对象是
具备了一定词汇量的小学高年级学生和广大中学生以及具备一定英语
基础的成人英语自学者。
可见，《新概念英语》的理念为：只要你打
下了初步的英语基础，就能够练习写作了。
看到这里，也许还有同学仍然会感到为难：我已经有了一定的英
语基础，不过现在就让我提笔写文章，真是太难为我了。
那么，究竟
怎样练习英语写作呢?如果我们认真分析《新概念英语》的写作练习，
就不难看出，这些经过精心设计的练习，其实体现着培养英语写作水
平应遵循的几项原则：
第一，从写句子入手，打实基础。
《新概念英语》第二册在“致
教师和学生”这部分中提到，如果从一开始就让学生写一篇完整的文章，会“产生灾难性的后果”，所以本书贯彻的是“从句子到段落，
最后成篇”的原则。
其中，此书对句子写作的重视水准尤其值得注重。
第二册前三个单元(共72课)的写作练习全部是围绕简单句、并列句和
复合句的写作训练实行的。
我们知道，文章无论长短，都是由句子组
成的，句子是表达思想的最基本单位。
所以，句子能否写好是决定文
章质量的根本因素。
一般来说，评判文章中句子的质量，首先要看句
子结构是否准确、表达是否准确。
分析一些学习者写作水平难以提升
的原因就会发现，他们欠缺的并不是写作的方法和技巧，他们缺乏的
往往是最基本的写句子的水平。
他们经常犯的语言错误包括：主谓不
一致、指代不清、动词时态语态的滥用、词性混用、句子不完整、句
子结构混乱等。
所以，大量实行写句子的训练，以保证句子的准确和
达意，避免造出一些中式英文句子是十分重要的。
其次要看句式是否
富于变化、生动多样。
试想，如果一篇文章通篇都使用简单句，这样
虽然找不出语言错误，但是文章会显得单调乏味，让人不忍卒读。
所以，要根据情况，交替使用长句和短句，通过简单句、并列句和复合
句等句式的使用，使文章生动活泼，富有节奏。
《新概念英语》的句
子训练就是围绕简单句、并列句和复合句来实行的，大量的练习会使学习者熟练使用这些句子。
第二，由浅入深，循序渐进。
英语写作水平的提升不可能一蹴而就，学习者要经过一系列由浅入深的训练才能达到写好整篇文章的水平。
《新概念英语》的写作练习正是基于这个理念而编写的。
在提供了大量句子写作的训练后，《新概念英语》第二册在第四单元中，要求学习者用练习中给出的词和短语实行段落写作。
第三册中的练习包括：把句子扩展成150个词左右的段落;按所给故事梗概写出200个词左右的3个段落;根据所给思路拟定提纲并写出250个词左右、由3段或4段组成的文章。
在本册的最后一个单元，学习者被要求根据题目自行构思、自拟提纲，写出约300词的文章。
分析起来，《新概念英语》遵循的是由控制写作(Controlled Writing)到引导写作(Guided Writing)直至自由写作(Free Writing)的顺序。
在控制写作阶段，学习者要在指导下实行写作活动，很少有自由写作的机会。

在引导写作阶段，学习者有了一定的创作自由，例如能够根据所给思路自拟提纲实行写作。
这个阶段的关键是掌握构建段落和篇章的水平，通过引导和发挥自己的能动性、创造性，写出内容充实、条理清晰、逻辑性强的文章。
在自由写作阶段，学习者能够根据某一题目实行写作，也能够写自己喜欢的主题。
这个阶段的关键是在打下了语言及语篇结构的基础上充分发挥自己的创造性思维，增强语言的流利性。
