教师课前可以准备一些与圣诞节有关的图片、物品和圣诞歌曲，设计教学活动，引入话题。
本单元设计的活动有购买圣诞树和礼物、圣诞老人讲心愿、装饰圣诞树和享用大餐等，教师可根据时间的先后顺序，将这些活动作一个有序的安排，从而将本单元的重点句型first/next/then/finally,与之有机的结合起来。

之后的绘本阅读学生在课堂上没有时间来具体学习，需要孩子们课后再去阅读。
