The NBA Championship
The NBA Championship, sponsored by the American Men's Professional Basketball League (NBA), is held in June every year. It is a competition between the Eastern League champions and the Western League champions. The winning team has won the honorary title of the NBA championship. Each season, the top eight of the Eastern and Western leagues, finalized through the regular season, enter the playoffs. In the playoffs, there are seven four wins, the sequence of which is: first to eighth, second to seventh, third to sixth, fourth to fifth; then by the winners of first and eighth to the winners of fourth and fifth; second and seventh to the winners of third and sixth. After deciding the eastern and Western championships, the division finals compete for the championship.
