与2018年的相比，2019年江西中考英语试题变化不大，难度适中。其变化主要体现在一下两点：
1.听力测试B）部分第5段材料改为了对话。
2.书面表达的考查形式出现了变化，以前是导图形式，2019年则是根据完形填空中的一句话来表达自己的观点，并写一篇短文。
具体分析如下：
A）部分
此部分是简短对话，都比较容易，8个小题基本是由易到难的顺序，7、8小题相对难些，第7考生要对所听到的内容进行简单信息加工，第8小题要听出Mary的言外之意。
B）部分
此部分的难度也不大，2019年的第5段材料与往年有所不同，往年的第5段材料是独白，2019年的5段材料全部是对话。后面4段对话的最后一个小题稍难些，都是综合判断题，出题的内容涵盖在整段对话中，要求考生能够理解整段对话的内容才能做出正确的判断。
C）部分 此部分要写的单词都是较常见、较容易的单词，而且没有变形，较难的是第23小题的要填的日期和第27小题要填的电话号码，如果考生对数字不熟悉的话容易出错。总的来说，大部分考生听力失分不会太多。
