The impact of globalization on China’s economy Abstract: Globalization is the new catchphrase in the world economy, dominating the globe since the nineties of the last century. People relied more on the market economy, had more faith in private capital and resources, international organizations started playing a vital role in the development of developing countries. The impact of globalization has been fair enough on the developing economies to a certain extent. It brought along with it varied opportunities for the developing countries. It gave a fillip for better access to the developed markets. The technology transfer promised better productivity and thus improved standard of living.Key Words: Globalization impact economy WTOGlobalization is the best word of the last ten years. All the newspaper followed the word and politician spoke of it. And a lot of academics used it. To this word, people also have different kinds of statements. Those people who said globalization is a good thing. Basically argue, the more free trade, the more free capital movements, there are in the world and the more economic groups will exalt, and the more economic growth. The bigger of the pie, we all have to share, and that will be more for everyone on the ground. Some people against the globalization. Because there is always the weak industrial countries or some poor countries.Industrial will to development if fully implement free trade, a global economic integration. Foreign master their own economy. The government can't control his economy. Countries will be lost economic sovereignty. The superstructure based on economic. So the economy is very important. Lost economic ,Finally countries will for foreign control, may even being swallowed up.As for me, globalization is not only an opportunity but also a great challenge for Chinese economy.Globalization refers to the process of increased integration between different countries and economies and the increased impact of international influences on all aspects of life and economic activity. China is located in the continent of Asia with the highest population in the world of 1.3 billion people. They are the fastest growing economy due mainly to foreign direct investment in which occur because of cheap labor rates and manufacturing costs. With the tremendous progress in the last decade China has reduced poverty dramatically thanks to an economic system increasingly open to trade and foreign investmentThe impact of globalization on China’s economic growth is far-reaching. Duringthe p ast 20 years, China’s international trade expanded 16 times, with its ranking in the world bounced to seventh from the original 32nd. Trade dependence rate lifted from 10 to 36%. The amount of FDI is now the largest amongst developing countries. According to a modular study on the synergy of FDI conducted by the Development Research Centre of the State Council, China’s GDP recorded an average annual growth rate of 9.7% over the past 20 years, of which 2.7% was attributed to FDI. Apart from using such statistics to show the impact of globalization on the Chinese economy, we recognize that integration with the world economy is instrumental to improving the Chinese economic structure, speeding up the establishment of the market economy, raising the level of corporate governance and technological capability, as well as optimizing its human resources.The impact of globalization on China’s economic growth is momentous. Globalization presents to everyone a world which is increasingly liberalized and market-oriented. It also brings us intensified competition and a greater degree of interdependence. Every one must learn to adapt to the increasingly competitive environment, and coordinate and cooperate with others in line with the new rules. Hence, the practices of different governments would inevitably be challenged. Whichever government comes to proceed with strategies or policy assessment and planning, economic globalization is definitely an important factor to be taken into account. The Chinese government has adopted a series of strategically significant policies so as to address the challenge of economic globalization. These include readjustment of the economic structure by speeding up the development of the high technology sector and the western region; transformation of the pattern of economic growth by strengthening IT education and sustainable development as well as further development of the outward-oriented economy by implementing “come in” and “go out” strategies. Besides, the government is consolidating refor m in SOEs and government administration with a view to establish a governing mechanism in compliance with international rules and practices. These policies obviously facilitates China’s further integration into the global economy.The success of the open d oor policy has boosted Chinese people’s self-confidence, and has also established a liberal thinking in the country. Chinese people acknowledge that today’s success is a result of liberalization, which has long been our primary target. Though like other nations, China may have a different interpretation of globalization and some specific ideas to cope with the challenges arisen from it, a few Chinese people would advocate going back to “isolationism” andhardly any would call for shutting the door of the country.On the 17th of September 2001 China was admitted membership into the World Trade Organization after 15 years of lobbying for the position. They were then able and were participants of the Doha round on the 10th of November 2001. “International economic cooperation has brought about this defining moment in the history of multilateral trading system,” said Mike Moore, WTO Director-General, at the conclusion of the meeting of the Working Party on China’s Accession.As a result of this negotiation, China has agreed to undertake a series of important commitments to open and liberalize its regime in order to better integrate in the world economy and offer a more predictable environment for trade and foreign investment in accordance with WTO rules. 一、The meaning of globalization Globalization is not only a kind of concept, but also a phenomenon of human society's development process. Globalization are many definitions. Generally , globalization is a global unceasingly strengthening contact, human life devoloping on the basis of the global scale , the raising of the global consciousness and interdependent on and trade each other between countries in the political, economic. Globalization also can be explained as the world compression and regard world as a whole. After the 1990 s, with the globalization’s power affecting levels of expansion on human society,it has gradually focus countries’ attention on politics, education, social and culture. They cause research upsurge. There are stil different opinions from each other about that Globalization influences is good or bad at present.
