I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian Province in southeastern China. Fuzhou is such an amazing place with a rich history, stunning nature, and friendly people. Let me tell you all about my incredible hometown!First off, Fuzhou has a very long history dating back over 2,000 years. It was one of the most important ports and cities along the ancient Maritime Silk Road. You can still see remnants of its grand past today in places like the Sanfang Qixiang area. This district has narrow stone lanes lined with old houses and stores built in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Walking through there is like stepping back in time! My favorite is the Nanhou Street which has beautiful carved window designs.Another must-see historical site is the Yongquan Temple, a famous Buddhist temple founded in the Tang Dynasty over 1,200 years ago. The main hall is stunning with bright red pillars and intricate carvings of dragons and phoenixes. I love listening to the monks chanting peaceful mantras while the fragrant incensewafts through the air. Behind the temple is a cool bamboo forest where deer roam freely.One of my favorite places though has to be the West Lake Park right in the center of town. This huge freshwater lake has gardens, pavilions, and winding paths all around it. I love renting a little boat there with my family and paddling across the shimmering waters. You might even spot elegant white herons wading gracefully on the shore! At night, the entire lake is ringed by twinkling lights reflecting off the calm surface.Another fun natural spot is the Ting Xi Flora Park. It has thousands of different flowers and plants from around the world, including fields of colorful tulips and roses. One section is even modeled after famous gardens from other countries like Japan and Spain. My class took a field trip there once and I learned so much about all the diverse plant life.Fuzhou is also famous for our unique local cuisine called Foochow food. It uses lots of fresh seafood, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots. Some classic dishes are Buddha Jumps Over the Wall (a thick stew made with many ingredients), Foochow doughnut twists, and sour-honey peanuts. The food is often slightly sweet and very flavorful. Whenever my grandma visits, she always brings bags of special snacks from the local markets.Finally, one of the best things about Fuzhou is all the fun yearly festivals we celebrate. During the Lunar New Year festivities in spring, the city is decorated with beautiful red lanterns and you can watch amazing dragon dances performed on the streets. My absolute favorite though is the Martial Arts Festival in the fall. People come from all over China to compete in events like kung fu performances, lion dances, and my personal dream – wushu weapon demonstrations with swords and staffs.Well, that's just a small glimpse into my vibrant hometown of Fuzhou! From our ancient historical sites to lush natural scenery and unique local culture, there is so much to experience. 我的家乡是福州，它位于东海之滨，又叫“有福之地”。
我们福州四季如春，瓜果飘香，物产丰富。
我们福州的特产是鱼丸，他味道可口，非常好吃。
我非常喜爱我的家乡。
要说起福州的变化，那才叫大呢！就从台江的中亭街说起吧！中亭街以前没大修时，路面很窄，只能过两辆车，而且路面坑坑洼洼，一到下雨的时候，路面就到处都是积水，交通极不方便。
现在道路修好了，路两旁盖起了新楼，成了崭新的一条商业街。
这两年，福州的城市建设发展迅猛。
新增设了许多立交桥，增加了交通得便利。
还新建了许多高楼大厦，就说工业路的白马大厦吧，数起来起码有二十层。
四、福州以前许多路都没有种树，现在的福州几乎每条路都种了树，等树长高、长大了，在夏天的时候，就可以为人们遮阳，使我们感到凉爽，这多好呀！
现在，福州还增设了几个太阳能红绿灯，仅我看到的就有三个，我想，可能还不止这么多。
站在高处看福州，我看到了许多新建的大厦、立交桥，到处都是绿树，到处都是现代化建筑。
每当夜幕降临时，万盏灯火大放光明，街道上的汽车一辆接着一辆，像一条发光的长龙，一座座高楼大厦嵌着像宝石一样的五颜六色的灯，这五彩缤纷的灯光倒映在闽江水里，构成了一幅美妙的图案。
福州的变化太大了，说也说不完。
