今天我说课的课题是人教新目标英语八年级Unit 7 What’s
the highest mountain in the world? Section B(1a-1d)一课时的内容。
《英语课程标准》提出：将学生的发展作为英语课程发展的出
发点和归宿，制定了“语言知识、语言技能、情感态度、学习策略、文化意识”五位一体的课程功能，旨在帮助学生掌握学习英语的方法，培养学生终身学习的能力。
这套教材采用了任务型语言教学思
想（Task Based Language Teaching），强调语言学习的实践性，
融汇了话题、交际功能和语言结构于一体，以一种循序渐进的生活
化的学习程序引导学生“为用而学，在用中学，学了就用”。
因此，对于这节课，我是这样考虑的：
一、教学内容分析
本单元的中心话题是：地理和自然。
Section B在Section A
的基础上，通过对自然和文化的比较过渡到了动物这一话题。
本节
课一方面巩固含有数字的事实描述，另一方面拓展学习更多表示比
较的句式，如多倍数的表达。
1a通过呈现大象和熊猫的信息，引导
学生用比较句型将两种动物进行比较，为后面的听力做铺垫。
1b-1c
的听力内容主要围绕熊猫宝宝的描述，进一步学习度量的表达。
内
容浅显，目的让学生感知本单元目标语言和结构，1d是将听到的信
息以对话的形式进行输出。
二、学情分析
在Section A学习中，学生学习了大数字的读法和表示度量的结构，积累了一定的目标语言，对于世界地理知识有些了解，根据这一时期学生的认知规律（对有兴趣的内容记得比较好），身心发展特点和知识能力水平的实际情况（已具有一定听说读写能力）。
在继续抓好听说读写这四项基本技能训练的同时，来增强学生语言交际能力、自主探究能力和小组合作学习能力。
三、依据教材分析并结合课标和学生实际，我将教学目标确定为：
1.通过听读，绝大多数学生能认读和理解文中的重点词汇weigh，birth,adult和5个短语
2.能用比较级的句式谈论两个事物。
3.理解英语中倍数的表达。
四、在此目标下，依据课标要求和学情，我将重难点确定为：

难点：理解英语中倍数的表达。
五、为了突出重点、突破难点，我的教学策略是
1.我将采用《英语课程标准》倡导的任务型教学模式，以任务为驱动，小步推进、螺旋上升，帮助学生顺利达成学习目标。
2.以活动构建教学的理论为指导，通过游戏法、竞赛法、讨论法，激发学生的主动性。
创设情境、挖掘课程资源、利用图片、多媒体等多种形式，师生互动，生生互动，分组探究。
六、教学过程
Step1：Guessing game导入：A panda
【激活已有的知识经验，建立（联结）起与将要学习的话题相关的知识网络，激发兴趣。
】
Step 2. 1a 1. 通过看1a图片和数据，用简单的句子分别描述大象和大熊猫。
例如： This elephant is 350 cm tall.
...
2. 引导学生模仿例句对大象和大熊猫进行比较，采用小组竞赛的方式进行，看哪一组想到的句子最多。
Step 3. Listening 1b-1d
呈现数字： 0.1 0.2 16 20 50 100 120 150
引导学生正确朗读这些数字，尤其是小数点的正确读法。
猜测这些数字和所听到的内容之间有何关联。
利用1c 中的句子帮助推导，试填部分数字。
听录音，选出所听到的数字，完成句子再核对答案。
检查预测的正确与否。
Step 4.跟读，听录音模仿语音语调，注意句子重读、弱读、连读、意群停顿等朗读技巧，有意识地渗透语音教学。

Step 5.再读，列出熊猫宝宝的有关信息，将adult panda 和 baby panda 进行比较。
Step 6.句子接龙游戏。
据已知的有关adult panda 和 baby panda 的信息，模仿1d 范例，每人说一句有关熊猫的表达，引导学生运用不同句式。
