Making a world of difference"Making a world of difference"is KaiFu Lee's life goal and value. I do admire him, who can always know what he wants. In 1983 he graduated from Columbia University, and in 1988 he earned a Ph. D in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University. At that time he completed his doctoral dissertation on Sphinx, the first large-vocabulary speaker-independent continuous speech recognition system, which was selected as the "Most Important Innovation of 1988" by Business Week. In 1989, he developed an Othello-playing computer program which defeated the world's human champion. He has successively occupied important positions in Apple, SGI, Microsoft, Google company. Then he established Innovation Works in Beijing in 2009, which aimed to foster creative talents and a new generation of high-tech enterprises. He has many legendary experiences. Every life choice he has made, is a successful self-transcendence.He said:"Life is very short, if you are always afraid of doing what you want to do, then life is over, and you stay only with regret. I often say to follow my heart, of course it must be in the premise of responsibility, keeping faith, and abiding laws. On this premise, taking some risks is worth. 很荣幸能借此重返我的母校哥伦⽐亚⼤学，在⼀群这么优秀的毕业⽣、各位的家长、兄弟姐妹及各⽅嘉宾齐聚的重要场合发表演讲，共享这场毕业盛会的喜悦。
⾸先，我想对全体毕业⽣说：我为你们倍感骄傲，祝贺你们学业有成，各位的家⼈也为你们⽽骄傲，今天所有的欢呼和掌声属于你们! 34年前，我就坐在你们现在的座位上，那是我⼈⽣中最美好的时光。
在⼤学时代，我找到了⼀⽣所追寻的专业领域——⼈⼯智能，也找到了⼀⽣中的最⼤爱好——桥牌。
那时我每周打30个⼩时桥牌，但直到现在，哥伦⽐亚⼤学也没给我颁发桥牌学位。
在哥⼤我还找到了⾃⼰的初恋，很幸运，她后来成为我的毕⽣挚爱。
当年，在我的毕业典礼上，我有幸聆听了科幻⼩说巨匠艾萨克·阿西莫夫的致辞。
很抱歉，今天你们只能听我演讲。

Ladies and gentlemen, it is my great honor to be here today at Columbia University to share with you my thoughts on the future of technology and innovation. As we stand on the cusp of a new era, it is crucial that we understand the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
The rapid advancement of technology has fundamentally transformed the way we live, work, and communicate. From artificial intelligence to blockchain, the potential for innovation seems limitless. At the same time, we must remain vigilant in ensuring that the benefits of technology are accessible to all. As we work to build a more inclusive future, it is essential that we consider the needs of marginalized communities and strive to create technology that serves the greater good.
