二、教学内容分析：本次授课内容选自八年级上册Unit8 How do you make banana milk shake？的Section B（2a-2e)的阅读课，阅读材料以美国的感恩节的历史文化以及感恩节的传统食物（火鸡晚餐）制作为内容。
阅读语篇分为两个主要构成部分，一部分讲的是美国感恩节历史文化，另一部分是火鸡晚餐的制作过程和方法。
该阅读材料内容丰富，包含了历史文化方面的内容，本部分的知识呈现比较简单，但是如果要让学生体会到美国感恩节的历史文化底蕴，老师需要额外的给学生补充感恩节的由来。
而第二部分涉及到食物的制作过程，学生不但要掌握First, next, then, finally等词的使用，还要掌握一些重要的关于制作食物的动词词组和名词，如：mix together, fill…with, cover, place, pepper, oven, plate, celebrate…by, give thanks to, give thanks for ...这些词汇不仅是对单元语言目标的进一步拓展，还为后面的书面表达提供了参考词汇。
本节课与学生的生活实际密切相关，易于引导学生用英语正确表达中国的传统节日和食品名称，完成读写的任务活动。
三、教学对象分析八年级学生在本次授课前已经学习了Section A 和Section B 1a-1e等听说和语法知识，听力输入和口语输出得到了充分练习，为本节课的阅读已做好铺垫。
此外，他们此前也掌握了一定的阅读技巧，如快读、细读、猜测等，这为本节课的开展奠定了基础。
在课堂上，八年级思想表现活跃，竞争意识强，喜欢通过一些有趣的活动或游戏来学习英语。
基于几年的英语学习，大部分学生都具有基本的阅读能力，但还需要老师的引导，因此，在本节课中，学生作为课堂的主人，将在老师的引导下，理解阅读内容，掌握一定的阅读技巧。
四、教学目标1. 知识目标：①学习新单词和短语:traditional, autumn, traveler, England, pepper, plate, celebrate, cover, mix, fill…with,celebrate…by, give thanks to②能够了解美国感恩节的由来，火鸡晚餐的制作过程和方法。
2.能力目标:能够运用有效的阅读策略（猜测等），快速正确地获取信息。
3.情感目标：①了解美国传统节日由来及饮食习俗，并且能够感受美国与中国节日和饮食文化的不同。
②培养学生的人际交往，学会与他人合作，同时还要有一种竞争意识。
五、重点、难点教学重点：了解美国感恩节的由来以及历史文化，火鸡晚餐的制作过程和方法. 难点：了解美国感恩节的由来.（解决方法：以问题细化感恩节的由来及庆祝方式，让学生通过部分整合了解整篇文章的内容）六、教学方法分析1、运用“组内合作，组间竞争”的小组合作机制2、恰当运用多媒体、视频、图片等。
3、充分调动学生的积极性，以学生为中心，开展各项英语教学活动。
