动力转向
一个循环球动力转向系统的工作原理类似于一个齿轮和齿条系统。
一个动力转向系统就是只有当驾驶员施加力给转向盘时(例如当开始转向时),动力转向系统才应该给驾驶员提供助力。
当驾驶员没有对转向盘施加力时(例如当直线行驶时),系统不用提供任何助力。
在动力转向系统中除了齿轮齿条式和循环球式转向器外,有两个关键部件。
泵
转向系统的液压动力是由叶轮式泵提供的,该泵是由汽车发动机通过带轮或链轮驱动的。
它包含了一套可伸缩的叶片,旋转的分布在椭圆型腔内。
随着叶片的旋转,他们将低压液压油从回流管路拉动并且迫使液压油在高压下进入出油管。
泵所提供的流量取决于汽车的发动机转速,设计的液压泵必须能够在发动机空转时提供足够的流量。
因此,当发动机转速较高时,液压泵驱动了比实际需要的更多的液压油。
该泵包含一个减压阀,以确保压力不能过高,特别是在发动机高转速下同时泵大量的流体。
旋转阀
该设备,感官上的力方向盘称为旋转阀。
回转阀的关键是扭力杆。
扭力杆是一条细长杆金属,当对其施加转矩时扭转。
杆的顶部与转向
盘连接,而杆的底部与小齿轮或者涡轮连接,转动车轮。
因此扭力杆上的转矩和驾驶员施加在转向轮上的转矩是相等的。
驾驶员施加越大的转矩去转动车轮,扭力杆的扭转程度就越大。
输入的转向轴形成了阀芯总成的内部部分。
输入轴也连接着扭力杆的顶端。
扭力杆的底部连接着阀芯的外部。
扭力杆也转动输出到转向齿轮,是齿轮齿条式还是和涡轮蜗杆式连接取决于汽车拥有的转向器类型。
当没有转动转向盘时,两个液压管路给转向齿轮提供了相同大小的油压。
但是,如果阀芯被转向一面,油道口就会打开供给高压液压油给相应油管。
未来的动力转向
自从动力转向泵用于今天持续运行的大部分汽车,动力转向泵就在不断的泵送液体,它浪费了马力。
这种动力的浪费就转化为燃油的浪费。
你可以期待看到几个创新将提高燃油经济性。
其中在制图板上最酷的一个理念就是线控转向或者线控驾驶系统。
这个系统会完全取消转向盘和转向之间的机械联系,用一个纯电子控制系统取代它。
从本质上讲,操纵转向盘将会像你玩的一个电脑游戏一样。
它将会包含传感器,传感器可以感知驾驶员对转向盘的操纵,并将信号传给汽车,并且有一些电机在里边可以向驾驶员反馈汽车的行驶状况。
传感器的输出信息将被用来控制电动助力转向系统。
取消转向杆部件,这将会释放发动机机舱空间。
它还将会降低汽车内部的震动。
在过去的50年里,汽车的转向系统还没有太大的变化。
但是在接下来的10年内,我们将会看到汽车转向系的发展,这将引起更为高效的汽车和一个更为舒9适的驾乘。
