第一句中的others=other people，意为“其他人”“别人”，泛指其他所有人；第二句中的others=other books，意为“其他的书”。
但是，若要表示确指意义，我们就在other和others前面使用定冠词，同样地，other后可以修饰名词，而others后不能再接名词，两者的关系仍然存在the others=the other+复数名词。
