1. Warm-up
An English proverb Today’s reader, tomorrow’s leader.
给学生创造阅读氛围，让学生渴望阅读，并且鼓励学生参与阅读。
2. Lead-in
Introduce Martin Luther King and World Trade Center by showing pictur es and
asking students some questions one by one. After the discussi on the teacher can play parts of videos about Martin Luther King’s f amous speech I Have a Dream and the damage of the World Trade Center to let students feel true about historical events. During the time, t he teacher may show the culture background in Chinese by PPT.
通过图片引入马丁·路德·金和世贸大厦，为阅读的相关内容做铺垫，同时

3. Pre-reading
Predict what passage is about by pictures in the text and title. Teac h students draw conclusions by key words.

4. While-reading
(1) Reading strategy: Scanning (Moving eyes quickly down the page to find specific information)
Let students answer two questions by using this way. At the same time the teacher tell students pictures are important for our reading.

(2) Main idea of each paragraph
Title is helpful for us to understand a text. It is also good idea to read the first
