教材分析
“Copernicus’ revolutionary theory”是人民教育出版社出版的高中必修模块5第一单元的阅读和写作课。

本文话题与天文有关,学生对天文学方面的知识和单词量相对来说都较少,所以,对学生来讲词汇相对艰涩难懂,增加了学习的困难。

因此在学习前,我先布置学生预习,熟读,并背诵本单元的新单词,这样扫除了单词这个拦路虎,以便于更好得理解课文。

本部分分两课时进行。

读(reading)的部分是通过讲述哥白尼发现太阳系新理论的故事,使学生了解科学家如何探索、钻研、无畏的科研精神验证未知的科学道理的经历,并通过一些问题训练学生的分析,解决问题的能力。

写(writing)的部分是通过让学生劝说哥白尼发布他的日心说新理论,使学生学会并通过练习提高写说服性和建议性作文。

通过写作训练学生的分析,解决问题的能力。

读的部分是为写打基础的。

写作部分很多词汇和句子可取材于阅读。

读和写相互融合在一起来提高学生的英语综合能力。

“小结”(Summing Up)部分归纳了本单元的主要学习内容并让学生自我检测一下学习效果。

“学习建议”(Learning Tip)部分告诉学生如何写说服性和建议性作文的方法。

“趣味阅读”(Reading for Fun)部分是一些名人名言。

课后反思
这堂课我一开始以太阳系九大行星图片的方式让学生熟悉下宇宙,从而导出日心说这一理论,进而引出哥白尼以及他的新理论。

这样导入到课文,比较自然。

课文处理过程由浅入深,一步步诱导学生,使学生理解起课文来没有那么困难,也不会对这种文章无从入手,锻炼了学生获取信息、重组信息、加工信息的能力。

对文章理解后再来个总结,并联系实际生活,使得学生的认识得到提升。

本课的参与者是高二学生,对于已经接受了一年的高中英语教学的他们来说,已经具备了一定的英语交际能力,这一系列的任务是符合他们的实际学习情况和探究能力的。

但是学生的能力有高低,在实行分组活动的过程中,也出现了一部分学生包揽的现象,英语学习能力薄弱的同学赶不上组里其他成员的进度,运用语言的机会很少,导致参与度不够。

这点需要在以后的教学过程中改进,争取让每位学生都有所收获,让个人的表演变成大家的课堂。

本课还有一个问题,就是把导入和Reading结合起来后,课堂时间很紧凑,如果上得慢一点,homework就没法在课堂上讲解,就增加了学生课堂作业的难度和负担。

Role play 就得减少时间。

这是学生知识输出的重要过程,必不可少,也是任务型阅读比较难把握的地方,既要让学生充分讨论充分表现,又要控制好时间。

总之,这堂课有利有弊,总体来说还是比较成功的,大部分同学都参与了并学到了东西。
