故事的名字是Stop! Everyone, Stop!!,在文中妈妈一共喊出三次“Stop! Everyone, Stop!!”,每一次STOP都代表着一次情绪上的转换。故事一开始讲述了主人公一家的爱好及繁忙的周末生活。周六“我”骑自行车,Amy跳舞,Tom练习武术;周天“我”去钓鱼,Amy踢足球,Tom上音乐课。爸爸呢?爸爸的周末在陪伴Tom练武术和陪伴“我”钓鱼中度过。妈妈则更加忙碌,她开车将每一个人送往每一个地方。此时妈妈第一次喊停,并提出了去远足的建议。故事的情绪由fed up转为excited。紧接着众人开始为远足做准备,妈妈准备了食物,爸爸准备了地图,而孩子们则是根据个人喜好,带了相应的物品。Amy带了她的足球,Tom带了心爱的萨克斯,而“我”则带了一位不可或缺的家庭成员——可爱的小狗以及“我”心爱的鱼竿。大家跋山涉水,翻山越岭,身体渐感疲惫,此时妈妈第二次喊停,并提议大家坐下来享受野餐。餐后Tom开始吹萨克斯,Amy踢足球,“我”和爸爸开始钓鱼,而小狗和妈妈则甜甜地睡着了。此时的众人虽然做着和平日里周末一样的活动,却无比惬意。众人的情绪由tired转为relaxed。突然,Amy踢球碰到了小狗,小狗扑向Tom,Tom失手滑落的萨克斯砸断了“我”的鱼竿,而爸爸的地图也被打湿了。这动静吵醒了妈妈,众人纷纷向妈妈抱怨着。这时小狗突然跑向妈妈,将妈妈身上也打湿了。此时妈妈第三次喊停,并说道:“该回家了。”众人在这狼狈而温馨的氛围中开心地笑起来。此时众人情绪由upset转为happy。

本故事的核心词汇、核心语言与PEP教材四年级上册Unit 3 My friends 目标语言相契合,通过描述动物的外貌特征、性格特征、能力等,激发学生已有知识储备,通过图片环游的方式,教师和学生共读故事,合作建构意义。

教学过程中,我以问题为引导,通过观察封面、扉页、主题图等启发学生主动观察、猜想预测、思考并分享经验,在循序渐进的推测和阅读中发现问题、分析问题和解决问题,培养他们的批判性思维。

同时,问题设计由浅入深、由表及里地分层次铺展,使学生在不同层次都得到学习能力和思维品质的提升,从而提高学生的核心素养。

老师通过倒推的思维方式,不断的提出How will he cross the river? How will they help him? 这样的问题,调动学生的好奇心,激发学生思维与想象力,引导学生通过批判性思维,去举证论述、有理有据的表达观点和看法,最后引导学生在理解信息的基础上,通过图片的辅助,从而连贯地复述所读的绘本内容,从而达到语言内化,目标语言输出的目的。

落实学科育人的教学目标即通过本绘本的核心内容和核心活动,从课堂中自然生成。
