课后导练典题例证【例1】(2006山东高考)After he retired from office,Rogers_________painting for a while,but soon lost interest.A.took upB.saved upC.kept upD.drew up提示:take up“拿起;开始从事;专注于;继续”;save up“储蓄;贮存”;keep up“不低落;维持,继续”;draw up“草拟;写;部署”。
答案:A【例2】(2006广东高考)No matter how frequently_________,the works of Beethoven still attract people all over the world.A.performedB.performingC.to be performedD.being performed提示:动词-ed短语作状语,表示被动,即表示贝多芬的作品是“被演奏”。
另外根据frequently这个词,to be preformed(将被演奏)和being performed(正在被演奏)都不对,应该选performed。
答案:A【例3】(2006山东德州检测)—May I speak to your manager Mr.Williams at five o’clock this afternoon?—Sorry.Mr.Williams_________ to a conference long before then.A.will have goneB.had goneC.would have goneD.has gone提示:此题考查将来完成时。
long before then要求用将来完成时。
答案:A【例4】(2005上海高考) _________ into use in April 2000,the hotline was meant for residents reporting water and heating supply breakdowns.A.PutB.PuttingC.Having putD.Being put提示:主句主语the hotline 与put into use 之间构成逻辑上的被动关系,表示动作已经完成并带有被动含义时,往往会用动词ed形式作时间状语。
答案:A【例5】 (经典回放) _________time,he’ll make a first-class tennis player.A..Having givenB.To giveC.GivingD.Given提示:given time作条件状语,相当于条件状语从句if he was given time。
本题就相当于把the works of Beethoven和are省去。

■Procedures
The Nanzhao regime lasted for 250 years. During that period of time, while maintaining a good relationship with the central government, the rulers cruelly oppressed the slaves and mercilessly plundered other ethnic nationalities through warfare. Productivity was thus seriously harmed. This caused slave rebellions and uprisings. Nanzhao’s power came to an end in the year 902. Then a regime based on a feudal lord system, known as theKingdomofDali, was established. The kingdom adopted a series of measures such as abolishing exorbitant taxes and removing conservative ministers. As a result, social productivity was restored.
