整个单元的内容是围绕How do you get to school?展开的，以生动活泼的对话让学生学会谈论自己和他人乘坐何种交通工具的方式，学会谈论自己和他人乘坐何种交通工具到某个地方等，根据目标语言来训练学生的听、说、读、写的能力。
目标语言：①—How do you get to school? —I ride my bike.②—How does Mary get to school? —She takes the subway/by subway.学情分析本课时的教学对象是七年级学生。
他们经过小学和七年级一学期的英语学习之后，对英语知识有了一定的基础，但我今年所带班级的学生整体英语基础较差，部分学生对英语不感兴趣，甚至根本不学英语（尤其是男生)。
还有一部分学生觉得英语越来越难，渐渐力不从心了，对英语不感兴趣了，上课的注意力也不集中了，发言也不很活跃。
我针对这种情况，注重课堂教学的趣味性和教学方法的多样性，以此来提高学生对英语学习的兴趣，从而调动学生学习的积极性，使他们主动参与到课堂活动中来。
课标导航根据新课标和初中英语教学大纲的规定，通过听、说、读、写的训练，使学生获得英语基础知识和初步运用英语进行交际的能力，激发学生学习的兴趣，培养学生英语综合运用能力，为进一步的学习打好基础。
