实用类文本阅读解题时，非连续性文本要注意以下几点：一是采用正确的阅读顺序，即“主观题——原文——客观题”，这种顺序既能避免客观题错误选项“先入为主”，又能第一时间发现主观题的答案素材。
二是加强客观题的训练，把握实用类文本阅读客观题题文的“比对点”，提高比对效率。
三是提升读图能力，掌握解答图表题的技巧。
四是训练根据原文内容，摘取、整合、提炼答案的能力。
其他连续性文本阅读，如访谈、新闻、传记、科普文等要注意与各种文体的文本特征相关的题目，如访谈的提问技巧、新闻的结构、传记的表达技巧、科普文的语言等。
题型猜想近几年，实用类文本阅读题型较为固定，两道选择多选取错误答案，试题为用框架图梳理文章内容、分析统计图表、分析文中的概念、信息筛选、概括分析文章内容等；一道简答题，一般为概括文章内容、对比分析材料等。
但2020年出现了访谈阅读，是原来考查文体的回归，由此猜想2022年除会按往年的方式命制——选择题仍会从概念、图表分析、信息筛选与整合的角度命制，简答题会从概括材料内容、对比分析材料等角度入手分析外，选文和材料组合形式会有新变化，可能会有除非连续性文本以外的新形式，如访谈、新闻、调查报告、传记、科普文章等连续性文本；命题形式也会有所创新。
