As I pen this essay, my heart is filled with the anticipation of a new journey that awaits me at Yale University. The Ivy League institution has always been a beacon of academic excellence and intellectual pursuit, and I am humbled and excited by the prospect of becoming a part of its esteemed community. My academic journey has been a continuous quest for knowledge and understanding. My passion for learning has been nurtured by the rigorous curriculum of my high school, where I have excelled in subjects ranging from the sciences to the humanities. My involvement in extracurricular activities such as the science club and the debate team has further honed my critical thinking and leadership skills. However, it is my independent research projects that have truly ignited my spark for intellectual exploration. Whether it was studying the impact of climate change on marine life or examining the ethical implications of artificial intelligence, these projects have taught me the importance of curiosity-driven research and the value of making a meaningful contribution to society. At Yale, I aspire to pursue a degree in environmental science, with a focus on sustainable development. I am deeply concerned about the environmental crises facing our planet, and I believe that a rigorous education in environmental science will equip me with the knowledge and skills necessary to address these challenges. Yale's commitment to sustainability and its robust researchfacilities in this field make it an ideal place for me to further my studies.Beyond the classroom, I am eager to engage with the diverse community at Yale. I believe that exposure to different perspectives and cultures is crucial for personal growth and intellectual development. I am looking forwardto collaborating with students from diverse backgrounds on projects that aim to make a positive impact on our world. As a student at Yale, I also hope to contribute to the university's mission of fostering innovation and creativity.I plan to join clubs and organizations that align with my interests, such as the environmental club or the science research society, and I am excited about the opportunitiesthese platforms will provide for me to lead and make a difference. In conclusion, my aspiration to become a part of the Yale community is rooted in my passion for learning, my commitment to environmental sustainability, and my desireto contribute to a vibrant and diverse academic environment.I am confident that Yale will provide me with the resources and opportunities to achieve my academic and personal goals, and I am eager to embark on this transformative journey.**追求卓越:我的耶鲁之旅**当我书写这篇申请文章时,心中充满了对耶鲁大学新旅程的期待。

The Ivy League

The Ivy League

The term became official after the formation of the NCAA Division athletic conference in 1954.The use of the phrase is no longer limited to athletics, and now represents an educational philosophy inherent to the nation's oldest schools. Seven of the eight schools were founded during the United States colonial period; the exception is Cornell, which was founded in 1865. Ivy League institutions account for seven of the nine Colonial Colleges chartered before the American Revolution.
History

According to a kind of theory, the original of "The Ivy League" should trace back to 1937, a new reporter named Stanley Woodward cast this word, because in the United States the most ancient old building are all covered by evergreen rattan(常青藤). Moreover, there is another early theory which is come from "Four League “.The member includes Columbia University, Harvard University , Princeton university and Yale University.

Ivy League

Ivy League

1、What is Ivy League?
