五下Unit 8 Birthdays （Period 3）教案及案例反思第一部分：教案及设计意图Analysis of the teaching material教材分析本单元围绕过生日这一话题，通过询问生日的具体日期及在生日里谈论所做的事情展开对话。
本单元话题贴近学生的生活实际，教师可通过展开丰富多彩的活动，如“班级生日会”“我的生日我做主”等形式，让学生在真实的情境中理解并掌握本单元的语言知识。
本单元通过Su Hai 和Mike谈论过生日，意在让学生了解中西方文化中不同的生日风俗习惯。
学生也可调查自己家人朋友的生日，了解更多的生日活动。
学生也可准备自己或家人过生日的照片，课上与大家分享。
本单元生日的话题涉及到日期表达法，学生除了要掌握月份还要掌握序数词的用法和构成。
本课时是第三课时综合版块教学，包含Sound time, Culture Time, Cartoon time。
其中Sound time板块呈现了字母th在单词中的读音/ð/,Culture time板块介绍了西方人收到礼物的反应，Cartoon time板块讲述了Bobby, Sam和Billy在演一场英雄救美的舞台剧，再现了序数词的用法。
Analysis of the students学情分析五年级下学期，多数学生对英语仍然保持着浓厚的兴趣，但有少数学生由于遇到困难，学习兴趣可能会开始减退，第三课时是学生喜闻乐见的课时教学，本单元经过第一、二课时的学习，学生已基本掌握基数词和序数词的用法，能正确地运用重点句式进行基本的日常交际：用英语描述日期和自己的生日。
但是基数词和序数词在具体语境中的运用仍是难点。
教师在设计教学活动时，应该以学生的发展为宗旨，面向全体学生，在激发学生兴趣的同时，扎扎实实地从每个学生抓起。
五年级的学生学习比较理性，教师在以活动为课堂教学的主要形式的同时，要充分发挥情境教学在高年级的优化使用，设计丰富多彩的教学活动和有效的教学任务。

译林英语五下说课稿Unit 8 Birthdays第一课时教学目标1.让学生学会描绘人物的外貌特征和语言表达；2.培养学生感恩生活，珍爱生命，懂得感恩，不浪费食物等生活资源；3.通过听力、口语、阅读训练，提高学生的外语能力。
教学重点1.描绘人物的外貌特征；2.在语言表达中加入感恩生活，珍爱生命的元素。
教学难点如何让学生在语言表达中加入感恩生活和珍爱生命的元素。
教学准备1.一幅用英语描绘孩子生日会的图片；2.一些图片，用来更形象地表现生日派对的场景和食物。
教学步骤步骤一：导入新课（5分钟）老师拿着一副有关生日会的图片，让学生猜猜自己在看什么。
看是不是有人庆祝生日，有许多美食欢聚一堂。
运用举例、比喻、故事等方式，导入本课的话题——感恩生日，珍惜生命。
步骤二：学生活动（20分钟）老师呈现第一个生日会场景照片，让学生观察，然后放一段录音，让学生听录音后回答一些问题，比如：Mary最喜欢的是什么？Tom穿的是什么颜色的衣服？这些问题锻炼学生的听力和口语能力。
接着，老师呈现第二个生日会场景照片，让学生看图片并想象自己在参加同样的生日派对，鼓励学生使用所学的单词、词组、句式，讲述自己万分喜欢的生日派对，锻炼学生的表达能力。
在本环节中，学生可以自由表达，老师通过听同学的表述，同时点评、评价和纠正他们的表达方式，帮助他们更好地掌握英语表达。
步骤三：新课讲解（15分钟）在学习语言表达后，老师再次带领学生回到第一个场景中，继续讲解有关描述人物的外貌特征、姿态、动作等的单词、词组和句式。
接着，老师在讲解与人物描述相关的语言表达时，引入有关感恩生活、珍爱生命等的话题，教育学生要理性消费，不要浪费生活中的食物等各种资源。
