我叫美美，我的寄宿家庭也是墨西哥裔，是从小就来了美国的。
他们有两个女儿，大的那个13岁上初中，小的那个9岁，上小学。
因为两个女儿从小在美国出生，住家爸爸妈妈总是担心她们会忘记本来民族的文化，经常在家里鼓励她们说西班牙语，有的时候也会教我一些，当然我现在已经完全忘光了。
我的学校是一所学生人数非常多的公立高中，有两千名学生。
这在美国是很少见的，因为美国的学校都是规模比较小，可能几个年级加起来也就才几百人，这也导致基本上学校里，或者说这个你的年级中有谁你都能知道的一清二楚。
但虽然人数多，我们学校也没有一栋两层楼的房子，教室也好，办公室也好，都是一层楼的平房，而且可能一间教室就是一个独立的个体，说实话，有点像工地上的平板房。
学校的门有几个，差不多东座西北各一个，但那门也很不像样，就是一个铁网门，上课的时候保安会把它锁起来，放学时一堆的学生就偷溜出来，等着开门。
学校会提供早午餐，寄宿家庭帮我申请了免费午餐，这是给当地贫困学生的福利，而我到现在也不知道是因头我寄宿家庭符合贫困家庭的要求还是因为我是国际生所以可以申请到这个福利，其实按照道理，早点去也是可以拿个免费早餐的，但是因为我这个人比较焦虑，虽然每次去到学校后似乎都有一点时间吃早餐，但总是害怕会迟到，所以都会直接去教室门口等着老师来开门，也因此经常是第一个坐在
教室里的学生。

在美国寄宿家庭中的一天生活昨晚淅淅沥沥的细雨，滋润了加州干旱已久的土地。
今天早上，又是一片湛蓝得如同宝石的天空。
早上，心灵手巧的女主人Mrs. Spratz早早就起来为我们准备早餐。
我们唯一能预料到的是，今天的早餐一定和昨天的不一样。
果然，Mrs. Spratz为我们做的主菜是她的家乡英格兰的菜式：以面饼为底，覆以很多薄红色的火腿片，溏心的鸡蛋，再浇上满盘嫩黄的芝士，撒上暗红的胡椒，味道咸甜可口。
此外，她为我们亲手做了各种口味的甜甜圈和烘焙的小点心。
中午，男主人Mr. Spratz带着学生们去购物，也在附近一所高中稍游览了一下。

我们赴美文化交流营地一阶段的生活安排就是在美国的家庭生活学习。
我和另外一个同学住在一个家庭。
家庭男主人是老师，女主人也是老师，对我们都很和蔼。
还有一个孩子名叫“加刷”，11岁。
他们住的是小别墅，两厅三卧两厕一厨，居住条件很好。
但我们毕竟是刚来到美国家庭，一切都很陌生，我心里有点胆怯，不知道怎样和他们交流才好，不过慢慢地接触后，我便大胆起来和他们相处交流了起来。
在与他们生活期间，我更进一步地了解美国饮食：美国人购买的食品很简单，一袋面包、一罐饮料、一袋胡萝卜，几只洋葱，偶尔也会买一点牛肉。
他们很用调味品，用的最多的沙拉酱。
总结美国饮食的特点：一是生，牛肉带血丝；二是冷，凡是饮料都加冰块；三是甜，每天晚上都吃雪糕。
总之，美国人吃注重的是营养，而不是口味。
经过几天的熟悉，我们和他们已经可以熟悉的交流了，他们也很高兴，和他们的孩子玩的很好，也了解了美的文化，而且他们还去了教堂，据了解，美国有57﹪的居民信奉基督教，看来还有不少人信奉上帝。
美丽的时光总是过的很快，一眨眼就过去了，我们和他们就要“分手”了！今后，我要和他们多联系。
