一．指导思想：
朗读是英语学习过程中较为重要的部分。
坚持朗读可以提高发音的准确性和语言的节奏感，形成良好的语音语调；坚持朗读可以培养学生的英语语感。
为了让学生能重视朗读，也为了今后更好地学习英语，特举办本次朗读比赛。
二、参赛须知
各参赛同学必须遵守演讲比赛相关规定，按时参加赛前抽签、比赛。
参赛要求：第一名参赛同学必须在赛前3分钟到评委席抽签。
各参赛同学必须严格遵守比赛规则，在比赛过程中，若有，由评委会裁定。
各参赛队伍及相关班级均须遵守会场纪律，不起哄，不喝倒彩，做文明参与者。
三、具体安排：本次活动为个人朗读比赛。
（一）时间：2011年11月17日晚自习
（二）地点：本班
（三）参加对象：八年级全体学生
（四）内容与要求：
1、朗读内容：本学期所学的重要文章

本次个人比赛均以10分制标准进行计分。
具体要求如下：
1、语音语调（7分）
2 锻炼英语的发音，语调与节奏。
3 充分应用读书四到：眼到，口到，耳到，心到——比默读时更能记住所读的教材。
我们也可以说朗读是会话的基本练习，没有朗读习惯的人是很难学成会话的。
4 朗读长句时，可在“词组”之间稍做停顿。
在朗读中可能出现的另一个问题就是断句。
由于句子长，无法一口气读完，往往有急促或断续的现象，句子被读的支离破碎，非常不自然。
也有人在句中随意停顿，或停顿的地方不当，自己读起来极不通顺悦耳，听的人也会觉得不知所云。
长句中有短暂的停顿，藉以调和呼吸，这是自然的现象，但停顿的地方必须恰到好处。
通常在：A. 有标点符号的地方；B.词组或思想单元之间。
今年的比赛已经结束，本次活动的开展激发了学生学习英语的兴趣，同时也丰富了学生的课余生活，进一步推动了我校的英语教学工作。
它带给我们成功的喜悦，也留下值得思考的问题。
