in. The girl insisted that he join them. He seemed very shy, and ordered black coffee and smoked nervously as the young people chattered about sleeping on beaches. When they returned to the bus, the girl sat with Vingo again, and after a while, slowly and painfully, he began to tell his story. He had been in jail in New York for the past four years, and now he was going home. " Are you married?" " I don't know." " You don't know?" she said. " Well, when I was in jail I wrote to my wife," he said. " I told her that I was going to be away a long time, and that if she couldn't stand it, if the kids kept askin4 question, if it hurt her too much, well, she could just forget me. I'd understand. Get a new guy, I said she's wonderful woman, really something and forget about me. I told her she didn't have to write me. And she didn't. Not for three and a half years." " And you're going home now, not knowing?" " Yeah," he said shyly. " Well, last week, when I was sure the parole5 was coming through,I wrote her again. We used to live in Brunswick6, just before Jacksonville7, and there's a big oak tree just as you come into town. I told her that if she didn't have a new guy and if she'd take me back, she should put a yellow handkerchief on the tree, and I'd get off and come home. If she didn't ndkerchief, and I'd go on through." " Wow," the girl exclaimed. " Wow." She told the others, and soon all of them were in it, caught up in the approach of Brunswick, looking at the pictures Vingo showed them of his wife and three children the woman handsome in a plain way, the children still unformed in the much handled snapshots. Now they were 20 miles from Brunswick, and the young people took over windows seats on the right side, waiting for the approach of the great oak tree. Vingo stopped looking, tightening his face, as if fortifying himself against still another disappointment. Then Brunswick was 10 miles, and then five. Then, suddenly, all of the young people were up out of their seats, screaming and shouting and crying, doing small dances of joy.All except Vingo. Vingo sat there stunned, looking at the oak tree. It was covered with yellow handkerchiefs -- 20 of them, 30 of them, maybe hundreds, a tree that stood like a banner of welcome billowing in the wind. As the young people shouted, the old con slowly rose from his seat and made his way to the front of the bus to go home.

The Yellow Ribbon——by Pete Hamill

The Yellow Ribbon——by Pete HamillPreviewDo you know the popular song—“Tie a yellow ribbon ‘round the old oak tree”? Do you know this story became the inspiration of the song which is popular in China too? And do you know this article is the origin of using yellow ribbons as a symbol of American’s wish to see her troops return home safely? Let’s read the moving story. They were going to Fort Lauderdale, the girl remembered later. There were six of them, three boys and three girls, and they picked up the bus at the old terminal on 34th Street, carrying sandwiches and wine in paper bags, dreaming of golden beaches and the tides of the sea as the gray cold spring of New York vanished behind them. Vingo was on board from the beginning. As the bus passed through Jersey and into Philly, they began to notice that Vingo never moved. He sat in front of the young people, his dusty face masking his age, dressed in a plain brown ill-fitting suit. His fingers were stained from cigarettes and he chewed the inside of his lip a lot, frozen into some personal cocoon of silence.Somewhere outside of Washington, deep into a Howard Johnson’s, and everybody got off except Vingo. He sat rooted in his seat, and the young people began to wonder about him, trying o imagine his life: Perhaps he was a sea captain, maybe he had run away from his wife, he could be an old soldier going home. When they went back to the bus, the girl sat beside him and introducedherself.“We’re going to Florida,” the girl said brightly.” You going that far?”“I don’t know.” Vingo said.“I have never been there,” she said.” I hear it’s beautiful.”“It is,”he said quietly, as if remembering something he had tried to forget.“You live there?”“I did some time there in the Navy. Jacksonville.”“Want some wine?” she said. He smiled and took the bottle of Chianti and took a swig. He thanked her and retreated again into his silence. After a while, she went back to the others, as Vingo nodded in sleep. In the morning they awoke outside another Howard Johnson’s, and this time Vingo went in. The girl insisted that he join them. He seemed very shy and ordered black coffee and smoked nervously, as the young people chattered about sleeping on the beaches. When they went back on the bus, the girl sat with Vingo again, and after a while, slowly and painfully and with great hesitation, he began to tell his story. He had been in jail in New York for the last four years, and now he was going home.“Four years!” the girl said. “What did you do?”“It doesn’t matter,” he said with quiet bluntness. “I did it and I went to jail.If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime. That’s what they and they’re right.”“Are you married?”“I don’t know.”“You don’t know?” She said.“Well, when I was in the can I wrote to my wife,” he said. ”I told her, I said, Martha, I understand if you can’t stay married to me. I told her that. I said I was gonna be away a long time, and that if she couldn’t stand it, if the kids kept askin’ questions, if it hurt her too much, well, she could just forget me. Get a new guy—she’s a wonderful woman, really something—and forget about me. I told her she didn’t have to write me or nothing. And she didn’t. Not for three and a half years.”“And you’re going home now, not knowing?”“Yeah,”he said shyly. “Well, last week, when I was sure the parole was coming through I wrote her. I told her that if she had a new guy, I understood. But if she didn’t, if she would take me back, she should let me know. We used to live in this town, Brunswick, just before Jacksonville, and there’s a great big oak tree just as you come into town, a very famous tree, huge. I told her if she would take me back, she should put yellow handkerchief on the tree, and Iwould get off and come home. If she didn’t want me, forget it, no handkerchief, and I’d keep going on through.”“Wow,” the girl said. ”Wow.”She told the others, and soon all of them were in it, caught up in the approach of Brunswick, looking at the pictures Vingo showed them of his wife and three children, the woman handsome in a plain way, the children still unformed in a cracked, much-handled snapshot. Now they were twenty miles from Brunswick and young people took over window seats on the right side, waiting for the approach of the great oak tree. Vingo stopped looking, tightening his face into the ex-con’s mask, as if fortifying himself against still another disappointment. Then it was ten miles, and then five and the bus acquired a dark hushed mood, full of silence, of absence, of lost years, of the woman’s plain face, of the sudden letter on the breakfast table, of the wonder of children, of the iron bars of solitude. Then suddenly all of the young people were up out of their seats, screaming and shouting and crying, doing small dances, shaking clenched fists in triumph and exaltation. All except Vingo.Vingo sat there stunned, looking at the oak tree. It was covered with yellow handkerchiefs, twenty of them, thirty of them, maybehundreds, a tree that stood like a banner of welcome blowing and billowing in the wind, turned into a gorgeous yellow blur by the passing bus. As the young people shouted, the old con slowly rose from his seat, holding himself tightly, and made his way to the front of the bus to go home.。

Whe n my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light, that split the night, a nd touched the sound of silence. And in the naked light I saw ten thousand people, maybe more: peopl e talking without speaking, people hearing without listening, people writing s ongs that voices never share. No one dare disturb the sound of silence.“Fools“, said I, “You do not know silence like a cancer grows. Hear m y words that I might teach you. Take my arms that I might reach you.“ But my words like silent raindrops fell and echoed in the wells of silence. And the people bowed and prayed to the neon god they made. And t he sign flashed out its warning in the words that it was forming. And the si gn said, “The words of t he prophets are written on the subway walls, and t enement halls, and whispered in the sounds of silence.“2 爱的细语There’s A Kind Of HushThere’s kind of hush all over the world tonight. Little Jackie Paper loved that rascal Puff, a nd brought him strings and sealing wax, and other fancy stuff.Together they would travel on a boat with bill owed sail. Jackie kept a lookout perched on Puff‘s gigantic tail. Noble kings and princes would bow whene‘er they came. Pirate ships would lower their flags when Puff roared out his name.A dragon lives forever but not so little boys. Painted wings and giant‘s rings make way for other toys. One grey night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more. And Puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar. His head was bent in sorrow; green scales fell like rain. Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane. Without his life-long friend, Puff could not be brave. So Puff that mighty dragon sadly slipped into his cave.10 柠檬树Lemon TreeWhen I was just a lad of ten, my father said to me, "Come here and take a lesson from the lovely lemon tree. Don‘t put your faith in love, my b oy." My father said to me, "I fear you‘ll find that love is like the lovely lemo n tree."Lemon tree very pretty, and the lemon flower is sweet, but the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat. Lemon tree very pretty, and the lemo n flower is sweet, but the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat.One day beneath the lemon tree my love and I did lie. A girl so swee t that when she smiled, the stars rose in the sky. We passed that summer lost in love beneath the lemon tree. The music of her laughter hid my fathe r‘s words from me.One day she left without a word, she took away the sun. And in the da rk she‘d left behind, I knew what she had done. She left me for another; it‘s a common tale but true. A sadder man but wiser now, I sing these wo rds to you.11 花落何处Where Have All The Flowers Gone?Where have all the flowers gone? Long time passing. (Shoo-bee-do-lang -lang, shoo-bee-do-Lang-Lang)Looking back on how it was in years gone by, and the good time that I had, makes today seem rather sad; so much has changed. It was songs of love that I would sing to them, and I‘d memorize each word. Those old melodies still sound so good to me, as they melt the years away. All my best memories come back clearly to me; some can even make me cry. Jus t like before, it‘s yesterday once more.14 甜心Dear HeartDear heart, wish you were here to warm this night. Those raindrops are falling on my head; they keep falling. So I just did me some talking to the sun, and I said I didn‘t like the way he got things done-sleeping on the job. Those ra indrops are falling on my head; they keep falling. But there‘s one thing I know-the blues they send to meet me won‘t defeat me.It won‘t be long ‘til happiness steps up to greet me. Raindrops keep fal ling on my head, but that doesn‘t mean my eyes will soon be turning red. Crying‘s not for me, ‘cause I‘m never gonna stop the rain by complaining, b ecause I‘m free, nothing‘s wor rying me.29 某处,吾爱Somewhere My LoveSomewhere, my love, there will be songs to sing, although the snow co vers the hope of spring. Flower of Malaya, I cannot stay. Make way, oh, make way, for my Eastern Rose. Men crowd in dozens everywhere she goes. In her rickshaw on the street or in a cabaret, "Please make way for Rose," you can hear them say. All my life I shall remember oriental music and you in my arms. Perfumed flow ers in your tresses, lotus-scented breezes and swaying palms.Rose, Rose, I love you with your almond eyes. Fragrant and slender, ‘neath tropical skies. I must cross the seas again and never see you more, way back to my home on a distant shore.Rose, Rose, I leave you; my ship is in the bay. Kiss me farewell, now there‘s nothing to say. East is east and west is west. Our worlds are far a part. I must leave you now, but I leave my heart.34 清晨In The MorningIn the morning when the moon is at its rest, you will find me at the time I love the best, watching rainbows play on sunlight, pools of water, ice from cold nights. In the morning, ‘tis the morning of my life, ‘tis the morning of my life.In the daytime, I will meet you as before. You will find me waiting by the ocean floor, building castles in the shifting sand, in a world that no one understands. In the morning, ‘it‘s the morning of my life, ‘tis the morning o f my life. In the morning of my life, the minutes take so long to drift away. Please be patient with your life. It‘s only morning and you‘ve still to live yo ur day.In the evening, I will fly you to the moon, to the top right-hand corner of the ceiling in my room, where we‘ll stay until the sunshines. Another day to swing on clotheslines. May I be yawning; ‘tis the morning of my life, ‘tis the morning of my life.35 往日情怀The Way We WereMemories light the corners of my mind, misty watercolor memories of t he way we were, scattered pictures of the smiles we left behind, smiles we gave to one another, for the way we were. Can it be that it was all so simple then, or has time re-written every li ne? If we had the chance to do it all again, tell me would we, could we?Memories may be beautiful and yet what‘s too painful to remember, we simply choose to forget. So, it‘s the laughter we will remember, whenever we remember the way we were. The way we were.36 北上阿拉斯加North To Alaska。

'Neath the halo of a street lamp, I turned my collar to the cold and damp. When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light, that split the night, and touched thesound of silence. And in the naked light I saw ten thousand people, maybe more: people talkingwithout speaking, people hearing without listening, people writing songs that voices never share. No one dare disturb the sound of silence."Fools", said I, "You do not know silence like a cancer grows. Hear my wordsthat I might teach you. Take my arms that I might reach you." But my words likesilent raindrops fell and echoed in the wells of silence. And the people bowed and prayed to the neon god they made. And the sign flashedout its warning in the words that it was forming. And the sign said, "The wordsof the prophets are written on the subway walls, and tenement halls, and whispered in the sounds of silence."2 爱的细语There's A Kind Of HushThere's kind of hush all over the world tonight. All over the world you can hearthe sound of lovers in love. You know what I mean. Just the two of us, and nobody else in sight. There's nobody else and I'm feeling good just holding youtight. So listen very carefully. Get closer now and you will see what I mean. Itisn't a dream. The only sound that you will hear is when I whisper in your ear,"I love you forever and ever." There's a kind of hush all over the world tonight. All over the world people just like us are falling in love.3 阳光季节 Seasons In The SunGoodbye to you, my trusted friend. We've known each other since we were nine orten. Together we've climbed hills and trees, learned of love and ABC's,our hearts and skinned our knees. Goodbye, my friend. It's hard to die when allthe birds are singing in the sky. Now that spring is in the air, pretty girlsare everywhere. Think of me and I'll be there. We had joy, we had fun, we hadseasons in the sun, but the hills that we climbed were just seasons out of time. Goodbye, Papa, please pray for me. I was the black sheep of the family. You tried to teach me right from wrong. Too much wine and too much song. Wonder howI got along. Goodbye, papa. It's hard to die when all the birds are singing in the sky. Now that the spring is in the air, little children everywhere. When yousee them, I'll be there. We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun, but the wine and the song, like the seasons, have all gone.Goodbye, Michelle, my little one. You gave me love and helped me find the sun.And every time that I was down, you would always come around, and get my feetback on the ground. Goodbye, Michele. It's hard to die when all the birds are singing in the sky Now that spring is in the air, with the flowers everywhere, Iwish that we could both be there. We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun, but the stars we could reachwere just starfish on the beach. All our lives we had fun, we had seasons in thesun, but the hills that we climbed were just seasons out of time.4 唱首忧郁的歌 Song Sung BlueSong sun blue. Everybody knows one. Song sung blue. Every garden grows one.Me and you are subject to the blues now and then. And when you take theand make a song, you sing them out again, sing them out again.Song sung blue. Weeping like a willow. Song sung blue. Sleeping on my pillow.Funny thing but you can sing it with a cry in your voice. And before you knowit, get to feeling good. You simply got no choice.5 在老橡树上系黄丝带 Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Old Oak TreeI'm coming home; I've done my time. Now I've got to know what is and isn't mine.If you received my letter telling you still want me, if you still want me. Tie a yellow ribbon 'round the old oak tree. It's been three long years. Do you still want me? If I don't see a ribbon 'round the old oak tree, I'll stay on the bus, forget about us, put the blame on me, if I don't see a yellow ribbon 'round the old oak tree.Bus driver, please look for me, 'cause I couldn't bear to see what I might see. I'm really still in prison, and my love she holds the key. A simple yellow ribbon's what I need to set me free. I wrote and told her please. Now the whole danm bus is cheering, and I can't believe I see a hundred yellowribbons 'round the old oak tree. I'm coming home.6 雨的旋律 Rhythm of The RainListen to the rhythm of the falling rain, telling me just what a fool I've been.I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain, and let me be alone again. The only girl I care about has gone away, looking for a brand-new start. But little does she know that when she left that day, along with her she took my heart.Rain, please tell me now. Does that seem fair for her to steal my heart away when she don't care? I can't love another when my heart's somewhere far away.Rain, won't you tell her that I love her so? Please ask the sun to set her heart aglow. Rain in her heart and let the love we knew start to grow.Oh, listen to the falling rain--pitter-patter...7 七个寂寞的日子 Seven Lonely DaysSeven lonely days make one lonely week. Seven lonely nights make one lonely me.Ever since the time you told me we were through, seven lonely days, I cried andcried for you.Oh, my darling, you're crying-boo-hoo-hoo-hoo. There's no use in denying I criedfor you. It was your favorite pastime making me blue. Last week was the last time I cried for you.Seven hankies blue are filled with my tears, seven letters, too, are filled with my fears. Guess it never pays to make your lover blue. Little Jackie Paper loved that rascal Puff, and brought him strings and sealing wax, and other fancy stuff.Together they would travel on a boat with bill owed sail. Jackie kept a lookoutperched on Puff's gigantic tail. Noble kings and princes would bow whene'er theycame. Pirate ships would lower their flags when Puff roared out his name.A dragon lives forever but not so little boys. Painted wings and giant's rings make way for other toys. One grey night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more. And Puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar. His head was bent insorrow; green scales fell like rain. Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane. Without his life-long friend, Puff could not be brave. So Puff that mighty dragon sadly slipped into his cave.10 柠檬树 Lemon TreeWhen I was just a lad of ten, my father said to me, "Come here and take a lessonfrom the lovely lemon tree. Don't put your faith in love, my boy." Lemon tree very pretty, and the lemon flower issweet, but the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat.One day beneath the lemon tree my love and I did lie. A girl so sweet that whenshe smiled, the stars rose in the sky. We passed that summer lost in love beneath the lemon tree. The music of her laughter hid my father's words from me.One day she left without a word, she took away the sun. And in the dark she'd left behind, I knew what she had done. She left me for another; it's a common tale but true. A sadder man but wiser now, I sing these words to you.11 花落何处 Where Have All The Flowers Gone?Where have all the flowers gone? Long time passing. Whenthey played I'd sing along. It made me smile. Those were such happy times, andnot so long ago. How I wondered where they'd gone. But they're back again, justlike a long-lost friend. All the songs I loved so well. Every sha-la-la-la, every wo-wo still shines. Every shing-a-ling -a-ling, that they're starting to sing, so fine. When they get to the part where he's breaking her heart, it canreally make me cry. Just like before, it's yesterday once more.(Shoo-bee-do-lang -lang, shoo-bee-do-Lang-Lang)Looking back on how it was in years gone by, and the good time that I had, makestoday seem rather sad; so much has changed. It was songs of love that I wouldsing to them, and I'd memorize each word. Those old melodies still sound so goodto me, as they melt the years away. All my best memories come back clearly tome; some can even make me cry. Just like before, it's yesterday once more.14 甜心 Dear HeartDear heart, wish you were here to warm this night. My dear heart, seems like ayear since you've been out of my sight.A single room; a table for one. It's a lonesome town all right. But soon I'll kiss you hello at our front door. This love will last though years may go.And then, someday they may recall we were not too young at all.16 低语的松树 Whispering PinesThe snowflakes fall as winter calls, and time just seems to fly. Whispering pines, whispering pines, tell me is it so? Whispering pines, whispering pines, you're the one who knows. My darling's gone,oh, she's gone. And I need your sympathy. Whispering pines, send my baby back tome. See that squirrel up in the tree, his mate there on the ground. Hear their barking call of love for the happiness they've found. Is my love still my love? Yes, I lost my little darling the night they were playing the beautiful Tennessee Waltz.21 破晓 Morning Has BrokenMorning has broken like the first morning. Blackbird has spoken like the first bird. Praise for the singing; praise for the morning; praise for them springing fresh from the world.Sweet the rains' new fall sunlit from heaven, like the first dewfall on thefirst grass. Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden, sprung in completeness where His feet pass. Mine is the sunlight. Mine is the morning. Born of the onelight Eden saw play. Praise with elation, praise every morning God's re-creationof the new day.22 恶水上的大桥 Bridge Over Troubled WaterWhen you're weary, feeling small, when tears are in your eyes, I will dry themall. I'm on your side, oh, when times get rough, and friends just can't be found. Like a bridge over troubled water, I will lay me down. Like a bridge overtroubled water, I will lay me down. When you're down and out, when you're on thestreet, when evening falls so hard, I will comfort you. I'll take your part, oh, when darkness comes, and pain is all around. Like a bridge over troubled water,I will lay me down. Like a bridge over troubled water, I will lay me down.Sail on, silver girl, sail on by. Your time has come to shine; all your dreams are on their way. See how they shine. Oh, if you need a friend, I'm sailing right behind. Like a bridge over troubled water, I will ease your mind.23 让它是我 Let It Be MeI bless the day I found you. I want to stay around you. And so I beg you. Let itbe me. Don't take this heaven from one. If you must cling to someone, now andforever, let it be me.Each time we meet, love, I find complete love. Without your sweet love, whatwould life be? So never leave me lonely; tell me you love me only, and that you'll always let it be me.24 再见,吾爱 Bye Bye, LoveBye-bye love, bye-bye happiness. Hello loneliness, I think I'm gonna cry. Bye-bye love, bye-bye sweet caress. Hello emptiness, I feel like I could die. Bye-bye, my love, goodbye. There goes my baby with someone new. She sure looks happy, I sure am blue. Shewas my baby, 'til he stepped in. Goodbye from romance that might have been.I'm through with romance, I'm through with love. I'm through with counting thestars above. And here's the reason that I'm so free; my lovin' baby is through with me.25 无法停止爱你 I Can't Stop Loving YouI can't stop loving you. I've made up my mind to live in memories of the lonesome time. I can't stop wanting you. It's useless to say, so I'll just live my life in dreams of yesterday (dreams of yesterday). Those happy hours that weonce knew, though long ago, still make me blue. They say that time heals a broken heart. But time has stood still since we've been apart.26 只有你 Only YouOnly you can make this world seem right. Only you can make the darkness bright.Only you, and you alone, can thrill me like you do, and fill my heart with lovefor only you. Only you can make this change in me, for it's true you are my destiny. When you hold my hand, I understand the magic that you do. You're mydream come true, my one and only you.27 世事不可强求 Que Sera, SeraWhen I was just a little girl, I asked my mother, "What will I be? Will I be pretty? Will I be rich?" Here's what she said to me, "Que sera sera. Whatever will be will be. The future's not ours to see. Que sera sera. What will be will be."When I grew up and fell in love, I asked my sweetheart, "What lies ahead? Willwe have rainbows day after day?" Here's what my sweetheart said, "Que sera sera.Whatever will be will be. The future's not ours to see. Que sera sera. What willbe will be."Now I have children of my own. They ask their mother, "What will I be? Will I behandsome? Will I be rich?" I tell them tenderly, "Que sera sera. Whatever willbe will be. The future's not ours to see. Que sera sera. What will be will be."28 雨点不断落在我头上 Raindrops Keep Falling On My HeadRaindrops keep falling on my head, and just like the guy whose feet are too bigfor his bed, nothing seems to fit. Those raindrops are falling on my head; they keep falling. So I just did me some talking to the sun, and I said I didn't like the way he got things done-sleeping on the job. Those raindrops are falling onmy head; they keep falling. But there's one thing I know-the blues they send tomeet me won't defeat me.It won't be long 'til happiness steps up to greet me. Raindrops keep falling on my head, but that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turning red. Crying's not for me, 'cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complaining, because I'm free, nothing's worrying me.29 某处,吾爱 Somewhere My LoveSomewhere, my love, there will be songs to sing, although the snow covers thehope of spring. Somewhere a hill blossoms in green and gold. And there are dreams, all that your heart can hold.Someday we'll meet again, my love, someday whenever the spring breaks through. You'll come to me out of the long ago, warm as the wind, soft as the kiss of snow.'Til then, my sweet, think of me now and then. God speed my love, 'til you aremine again. Lara, my own, think of me now and then. God speed my love, 'til youare mine again, mine again.30 在雨中哭泣 Crying In The RainI'll never let you see the way my broken heart is hurting me. I've got my pride and I know how to hide all my sorrow and pain. I'll do my crying in the rain. If I wait for cloudy skies, you won't know the rain from the tears in my eyes. You'll never know that I still love you so. Though the heartaches remain. I'll do my crying in the rain.Raindrops falling from heaven could never wash away my misery. But since we'renot together, I look for stormy weather to hide these tears I hope you'll never see. Someday when my crying's done, I'm gonna wear a smile and walk in the sun.I may be a fool, but 'til then, darling, you'll never see me complain, I'll domy crying in the rain.31 跳舞吧,小女孩 Dance On, Little GirlDance, dance on, little girl, in the arms of someone new. I should dance; I should twirl. My heart, it dances with you. Dance, dance on, little girl. Tell me what I've done wrong. Why should he hold you tight while they're playing oursong?Oh! I am watching you, oh-oh-oh it cannot be. While I'm watching you, I'm wishing it were me. Dance, dance on, little girl. Tell me why did we part? Dance, dance on, little girl, dance out of my heart. Oh, I am watching you. Oh,oh, oh, it cannot be. While I'm watching you, I'm wishing. I'm hoping and worried. Go ahead and dance, little girl. Tell me why did we part? Dance on little girl, dance out of my heart.Oh! Look at you. There you go, silly girl. Yes, I know that you're wrong, wrong, wrong, because you know that you're gone, gone, gone'32 爱你在心口难开 More Than I Can SayOh, oh, yea, yea, love you more than I can say. Oh, oh, love you more than I can say.Don't you know I need you so? Tell me please; I got to know. Do you mean to makeme cry? Am I just another guy?33 玫瑰,玫瑰我爱你 Rose, Rose, I Love YouRose, Rose, I love you with an aching heart. What is your future now we have topart? Standing on the jetty as the steamer moves away. Flower of Malaya, I cannot stay. Make way, oh, make way, for my Eastern Rose. Men crowd in dozenseverywhere she goes. In her rickshaw on the street or in a cabaret, "Please makeway for Rose," you can hear them say. All my life I shall remember oriental music and you in my arms. Perfumed flowers in your tresses, lotus-scented breezes and swaying palms.Rose, Rose, I love you with your almond eyes. Fragrant and slender, 'neath tropical skies. I must cross the seas again and never see you more, way back tomy home on a distant shore.Rose, Rose, I leave you; my ship is in the bay. Kiss me farewell, now there's nothing to say. East is east and west is west. Our worlds are far apart. I must leave you now, but I leave my heart.34 清晨 In The MorningIn the morning when the moon is at its rest, you will find me at the time I lovethe best, watching rainbows play on sunlight, pools of water, ice from cold nights. In the morning, 'tis the morning of my life, 'tis the morning of my life.In the daytime, I will meet you as before. You will find me waiting by the oceanfloor, building castles in the shifting sand, in a world that no one understands. In the morning, 'it's the morning of my life, 'tis the morning of my life. In the morning of my life, the minutes take so long to drift away. Please be patient with your life. It's only morning and you've still to live your day.。
