THE FOX AND THE CROW
A Crow was sitting on a branch of a tree with a piece of cheese in her beak when a Fox observed her and set his wits to work to discover some way of getting the cheese. Coming and standing under the tree he looked up and said, "What a noble bird I see above me! Her beauty is without equal, the hue of her plumage exquisite. If only her voice is as sweet as her looks are fair, she ought without doubt to be Queen of the Birds." The Crow was hugely flattered by this, and just to show the Fox that she could sing she gave a loud caw. Down came the cheese, of course, and the Fox, snatching it up, said, "You have a voice, madam, I see: what you want is wits."

THE WOLF AND THE LAMB
A Wolf came upon a Lamb straying from the flock, and felt some compunction about taking the life of so helpless a creature without some plausible excuse; so he cast about for a grievance and said at last, "Last year, sirrah, you grossly insulted me.""That is impossible, sir," bleated the Lamb, "for I wasn't born then.""Well," retorted the Wolf, "you feed in my pastures.""That cannot be," replied the Lamb, "for I have never yet tasted grass.""You drink from my spring, then," continued the Wolf. "Indeed, sir," said the poor Lamb, "I have never yet drunk anything but my mother's milk.""Well, anyhow," said the Wolf, "I'm not going without my dinner": and he sprang upon the Lamb and devoured it without more ado.

Through this story, Socrates imparted a powerful lesson about the nature of happiness. The garden and the reflection in the pond symbolize the external and internal sources of joy. The beauty of the garden represents the external world, which can bring temporary happiness but is ultimately fleeting. On the other hand, the reflection in the pond represents the internal world, where true happiness can be found through self-discovery and contentment.

Once upon a time in a small village, there lived a wise old man who was known for his profound wisdom and insightful stories. One day, a young man approached him, seeking guidance on the meaning of life. The old man, with a gentle smile, decided to share a story that would take no more than three minutes to tell, but its wisdom would last a lifetime. In the heart of the village, there was a beautiful garden, where the villagers would gather to share stories and laughter. One day, a stranger arrived, carrying a small, unassuming seed. He approached the villagers and said, "This seed contains a flower that will bloom in a way you have never seen before. It will bring joy and beauty to your lives."Intrigued, the villagers eagerly took the seed and planted it in the center of the garden. They watered it, nurtured it, and waited with anticipation for the promised miracle. Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, but the seed showed no signs of life. The villagers began to doubt the stranger's words, and some even suggested that they had been deceived. One by one, the villagers lost interest in the seed and returned to their daily routines. But there was one villager, a young girl, who continued to care for the seed. She believed in the stranger's promise and refused to give up hope. She tended to the seed with love and patience, evenwhen it seemed that all hope was lost. One morning, as the first light of dawn touched the garden, the girl noticed a tiny sprout emerging from the ground. Over the next few days, the sprout grew into a small plant, and then into a bush. And then, one day, the most beautiful flower bloomed, its petals a vibrant mix of colors that the villagers had never seen before. The villagers gathered around the flower, marveling at its beauty and the fragrance that filled the air. They realized that the stranger's promise had been true, and they were grateful for the young girl's unwavering faith. The wise old man looked at the young man who had sought his guidance and said, "This story teaches us that patience, faith, and persistence are the seeds of great things. Just as the flower bloomed in its own time, so too will the answers to the questions of life reveal themselves when the time is right. Do not be discouraged by the passage of time or the doubts of others. Keep your faith, and continue to nurture the seeds of your own potential."The young man listened intently, understanding the profound message in the old man's words. He thanked the wise man and left, carrying the story with him as a reminder to always believe in the possibilities that life holds, even when they are not immediately apparent. And so, the story of the flower and the villagers became a cherished tale, passed down through generations, a testament to the power of patience, faith, and the enduring human spirit.。

The Ant and the GrasshopperIn a sunny meadow, there lived an ant who was very diligent. All day long, the ant would scurry around, gathering food and storing it for the future. One fine day, as the ant was busy at work, a grasshopper came hopping by. The grasshopper was singing and dancing, enjoying the beautiful day without a care in the world. The ant looked at the grasshopper and said, "Why don't you come and help me gather food? Winter will come soon and we need to be prepared." But the grasshopper just laughed and said, "There's plenty of time for that later. I'm having too much fun now." The ant shook its head and continued working. As the seasons passed, winter arrived with a vengeance. The meadow was covered in snow and food became scarce. The ant was snug in its warm home, surrounded by the food it had collected. Meanwhile, the grasshopper was hungry and cold, having no provisions. It realized too late the importance of planning ahead and working hard.Moral: It is better to prepare for the future than to live only for the present. We should be like the ant, thinking ahead and working diligently to ensure our well-being.The Fox and the GrapesThere was a hungry fox who one day spied a beautiful bunch of grapes hanging high up on a vine. The fox really wanted to taste those grapes. He jumped and jumped, trying his best to reach them, but they were just too high. Exhausted, the fox finally gave up.As he walked away, he muttered to himself, "Those grapes must be sour anyway." The fox tried to convince himself that he didn't really want the grapes that he couldn't get. But deep down, he knew he had really wanted them. This story shows us that sometimes when we can't have what we desire, we try to make ourselves feel better by demeaning it. It also reminds us that we should face our failures and not make up excuses. We should keep trying and not give up easily, or else we might miss out on something truly wonderful.。
