本课的教学内容是学习谈论个人喜好，重点围绕“学生怎样谈论最喜欢的颜色”这个题材开展多种教学活动。
本节课的课文情境是学生在上手工课，Lingling 负责分发彩纸。
她在询问Sam最喜欢什么颜色后，把该颜色的彩纸发给了Sam。
这是一个非常恰当的询问他人最喜欢的颜色的语境，询问的目的是给对方分发最喜欢的颜色的物品。
这样一来，很好地体现了“What’s your favorite...?”的语用功能。
