Xianghua WUZhengzhou University of Science&TechnologyAbstract:Motivation is an effective method of classroom teaching. No matter what grade students are in, they all need motivation. Based on different individual needs, motivation should be practical and contemporary, and requires innovation. With the development of The Times, the particularity of college students requires teachers to motivate them differently according to their different purposes of learning. However, in the actual teaching process, the effect of motivation often falls flat. This paper analyzes and discusses the motivation measures in college English classroom based on the hier-archy of needs theory.Key words: Private colleges and universities; English classroom; Motivation1. Introduction(1)Research BackgroundA wise man once said, “Education is simply the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to another.” As the soul of society, education needs to keep pace with the Times and the society. In recent years, economic globalization, industrial moderni-zation and educational internationalization have become the trend of development. In order to adapt to the development of modern economy and society, education has been also developing. Private higher education has also joined the army of higher education and gradually developed vigorously, adding strength to Chinese education cause. The About the author: Xianghua WU(1986-6), Female, Han, Qixian County , Henan Province , Lecturer, Master, English teaching theory and practice.Funded project: This thesis originated from the project of Henan federation of social science: Investigation of Current Situation of Information Literacy of College Students in Henan Prov-ince and its Cultivation Strategies[SKL—2019—2238].Journal of International Education and Development Vol.3 No.2 2019number of private colleges and universities has been increasing, and colleges and universities are expanding their enrollment, which gives more students chances to go to colleges.Since 2017, the enrollment of private colleges and universities has been merged with the second batch of undergraduate enrollment, and the basic admission score line has been set the same as the second batch of undergraduate enrollment. Overall, the quality of students in private colleges and universities has been improved. However, there is still a big gap between them and the students of the first and second batch of universities.(2)Characteristics of Private College StudentsThe characteristics of private college students mainly reflect in the following as-pects: First, the overall enrollment score of students is low and the learning foundation is weak; Second, Most students who enter private colleges and universities do not have outstanding academic performance in high school, so their outlook on life, values and learning views are different from those of public undergraduate colleges and universi-ties as a whole; Third, quite a number of students in private colleges and universities have good economic conditions, their world outlook and consumption concept are rel-atively natural and unrestrained; Forth, they are weak in independent learning ability. 2. Status of College English Class(1) Status of EnglishClass TeachingAt present, there are two significant features of college English teaching in Private colleges and universities: large class teaching and multimedia network assisted teach-ing. Large class always has a population of about 50-70 students. The teaching method is also traditional: classroom teaching (mainly including non-multimedia classroom). Due to the large numbers of each teaching class, traditional teaching has its advantages: First,Close distance with students makes it easier for teachers to manage classes; Sec-ond, there is no sense of alienation between teachers and students, so it is more con-venient for teachers and students to interact and communicate. English class needs good interaction between teachers and students, so as to better expose students to the learning environment. Third, flexibility makes more convenient for teachers to organ-ize colorful classroom activities. However, there are also disadvantages: First, Teachers cannot directly show some pictures or videos, which reduces the interest of English learning to some extent; Second, teachers need to write on the blackboard, some con-tents may be omitted due to time limitation; Third, the large number of students cannot be guaranteed to participate in class activities.Study on Classroom Motivation to College Students in Private Colleges andUniversities: Based on English Classroom Teaching(2) Problems in College English TeachingAt present, most private college English classes are divided into two parts: read-ing & writing class and listening & speaking class. Reading and writing class adopts traditional classroom teaching, while listening and speaking class adopts an autono-mous learning system under the supervision of teachers. On the whole, students have low interest in learning English and lack of motivation. Some students can listen to the teacher carefully and actively participate in classroom activities. Part o f students don’t understand and do other things, such as reading other books and mobile phones. There are also some students who are totally immersed in their own world without any inter-est in learning. And there are also individual students who like to do strange behaviors in class in order to attract the teacher’s attention. Therefore, the reform of college English teaching should start from the reform of classroom teaching. Teachers should take measures to motivate students in the class-room aiming to improve their low interest and learning motivation.3. Theory about Classroom Motivation(1) The Hierarchy of Needs TheoryThe motivation of different student groups should be need-based, realistic and con-temporary, and requires innovation. Among many motivation theories, Maslow’s hierar-chy of needs theory has wide influence. Maslow believed that people have seven needs: physiological needs, safety needs, needs for belonging and love, needs for respect, needs for knowledge and understanding, needs for beauty and needs for self-realization. He defines these needs in two categories: one is the deficiency need; the other is the need for growth. The former is necessary for people’s survival, while the latter can make our life better.According to the hierarchy of needs theory, only when people’s lower needs are satisfied, can higher needs be generated. (Chen Qi, Liu Rude, 2007).Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory is often used as a basis for motivation. Since the 21st century, this theory has been widely applied in the field of education. Xing Xiaodong (2012) believed that Maslow’s hierarchy theory is a theory about the satisfac-tion and development of human needs in various aspects, which is conducive to stimu-late students’ learning motivation, realize individualized teaching, construct harmonious teacher-student relationship and harmonious classroom, and realize effective and effi-cient teaching. Zhu Litao (2011) emphasizes on caring about the physiological needs of college students, paying attention to their safety needs, their belonging and love needs, maintaining their self-esteem needs, and encouraging their self-realization.Journal of International Education and Development Vol.3 No.2 2019Chen Qi and Liu Rude (2007) believed that the most important deficiency needs of students in schools are love and self-esteem. According to the current performance of private college students, the current social environment of such college students is com-plex, especially the influence brought by the information society on campus, which makes many college students lack of self-realization pursuit of study. Instead, they focus too much on current material needs, which lead to the phenomenon of lacking learning motivation and learning needs. Therefore, students are divided into four categories according to their different needs and motivations in order to teach students better in accordance with their aptitude.(2) Classification of Students on the Basis of the Hierarchy of Needs TheoryAccording to the characteristics of students of the private colleges and universities, students’ classroom performance, and the students’ needs and motivation of learning English, the private colleges students can be divided into four categories: the first kind of students have a clear goal of learning English, in order to cope with final tests, and pass CET 4 and 6, or take postgraduate examination, such kind of students study hard in class, the proportion of this kind of students is about 20%. The second category of students have no grand goals, they learn English just to pass the final exam. However, the purpose of this kind of students to learn English is relatively clear, they will listen to the teachers in class, take an active part in class activities, the number of such stu-dents accounts for about 40%; The third kind of students really have interest to learn English and want to learn, but they have bad foundation of knowledge. Last, a few stu-dents have no examination needs, do not care about the final exam, they have no interest and poor foundation. These students make up about 10 % of the class. Therefore, teach-ers can meet the needs of different types of students in class to motivate students.4. College English Classroom Motivation Methods(1) Stimulate Students’ Learning MotivationLearners’ learning needs and interest can be aroused through effective help so that their academic performance will be improved (Zhu Chun.1994). According to the stu-dents’ classroom environment and classroom performance combined with the particular-ity of the student group, flexible and changeable forms should be adopted in the teaching process to treat different student groups respectively.Class content should be designed to cater for each category of students. For the first class, in addition to the normal explanation of textbook knowledge, some key words or language points should be appropriately expanded; The second kind of students can ba-Study on Classroom Motivation to College Students in Private Colleges andUniversities: Based on English Classroom Teaching sically accept the difficult content of the textbook, they can accept the normal teaching process; For the third group of students, to stimulate their interest in learning, some cul-tural comparison analysis should be set in the classroom to explain the content, so that students can express their own understanding and views, let them feel the charm of Eng-lish through passive learning, and then change their attitude towards English. For the fourth group of students with personality, on the premise of not affecting the class order, teachers can ask them simple questions occasionally to attract their attention and im-prove their learning confidence.(2) Stimulate Learning Interest by Using Information ToolsUnder the education information environment, the traditional education sys-tem has undergone an important transformation, and the learning users have more diversified learning methods. After distance learning and digital learning, mobile learning has become a new learning mode attracting learners’ attention (Wang yan, Wu Qinglin:2018). In the process of using information tools, students lack the abil-ity of self-conscious learning. Study duration is not long, it is easy for students to give up study task halfway. Therefore, smart phones and other information tools have become the biggest problem in the classroom. How to guide students to use information tools in class so that students’ interest point can b e transformed from information tools to learning content becomes an urgent problem to be solved. The presentation of classroom content should be combined with information tools. For example, the use of learning apps such as Xue Xi Tong(a learning App in China, which Contains a wealth of learning resources and can be used in and after class) makes class more interesting. Taking attendance, asking questions and uploading learning materials, etc., allow students to use information tools as learning tools. In order to test the learning effect, questions, discussions, presentations and other class activities should be designed to test students’ learning situation.(3) Give Full Play to the Energy of Positive ReinforcementDifferent types of students have different learning purposes, motivations and needs, so teachers should adopt different ways of motivation. Appropriate scores should be given to the first type of students, who have a clear motivation of learn-ing purpose, certain learning foundation and actively participate in class activities (for example, the Number One in each vocabulary or text reciting competition will be rewarded with 2 marks, combined with CET-4 or 6 papers). The second kind of students have weak motivation to participate in the level examination, and they are rewarded with marks of performance or oral praise. As for the third and fourth class students, as long as they participate in, they will be given some marks appropriately. All the students will be noticed their performance points in class before the final exam.Journal of International Education and Development Vol.3 No.2 2019Students are encouraged to learn English by rewarding their scores and making them feel that their achievements are the results of their own efforts.(4) Create Teamwork and Competition SituationsInformation tools, including mobile phones, computers, ipad, etc., should be applied appropriately in classroom to set flexible classroom activities.Colorful classroom activities can attract students’ attention, which not only makes students feel the fun of learning, but also makes students fully involve in the classroom activities. Class activities in college English class mainly include: speaking words, memorizing words, reciting the text, debating competitions, TV program imita-tion (a station on earth, who is undercover, broadcasters, etc.), contracting class (stu-dents can contract class time from 1 to 10 minutes before class to explain knowledge related with textbook content, culture, and tell stories, they also can do self talent show, etc.), watching videos, making videos. Teachers also set different activities according to the different festivals: For example, on the Lantern Festival, students can be asked to guess lantern riddles (English vs. Chinese) in class, which not only ignite their pas-sion for learning, but also enable them to know differences between English and Chinese.5. ConclusionAll kinds of students should be given targeted encouragement. Motivation also requires innovation. The living environment of modern students changes with each passing day, and students’ needs are increasing. At the same time, there are more and more disturbing factors for their study. In order to make students grow healthily, teachers need to pay more attention to students comprehensively, especially in class. Classroom is the main place for students to receive knowledge. So, how to manage classroom and motivate students better deserves further study.Works Cited[1]Chen Qi, Liu Rude. “Contemporary educational psychology”. 叶子英文作文老师素材英文:As a teacher, I have encountered many different types of students throughout my career. Some are eager to learn and participate, while others are more reserved and need encouragement to engage in class. However, there is one type of student that stands out to me the most: the leaf student. The leaf student is like a leaf on a tree, just going through the motions of attending class without any real purpose or drive. They are often quiet in class, rarely participate, and seem disengaged from the material. It can be frustrating as a teacher to try and engage with these students, as they often do not respond to traditional teaching methods. However, as a teacher, it is important to remember that every student is unique and has their own reasons for theirbehavior. It is our job as educators to try and understand these reasons and find ways to connect with these students. One way to do this is to try and find out whatinterests the student outside of class. For example, if a leaf student is a fan of a certain sport or hobby, try to incorporate that into the class material. This can help them see the relevance of the material and become more engaged.Another way to connect with leaf students is to use more interactive teaching methods, such as group work or class discussions. This can help them feel more comfortable participating and engaging with the material.Ultimately, it is important to remember that every student has the potential to succeed, even if they seemlike a leaf student at first. As teachers, it is our job to help them find their purpose and drive, and guide them towards success.中文:作为一名教师,我在职业生涯中遇到了许多不同类型的学生。
The reasons of college students drop out of school

XXXXXENProfessor:7/6/14The reasons of college students drop out of schoolIn current society, by getting a high diploma, people are capable of earning more opportunities of finding a good job in the future. Meanwhile, it is the best way that people can expand their social relationships because they can make friends in different fields at school. But these facts are true only for good students or average students. As for the excellent students, they get high grades and make lots of friends in the university. Furthermore, these students will get high diploma before they are hired by a Fortune 500 company. The averages of students only gets passing grades and still make friends. However, other students make failing grades, and have a hard time making friends. Compared with the other two types of students, these students are more likely to drop out of college. The reasons why students choose to leave school are the increase of college costs, bad grades, and teen pregnancy. The first reason of dropout is that students cannot pay the expensive tuition. In terms of the United States, it is the one of the highest cost of education in the world (Hau). Between 2012 and 2013, the common tuition cost in the United States ranged from $3,131 for community colleges to $29,056 for private college. The private colleges, in the United States, raised their tuition by an average of 3.9 percent (“College tuition”). Because of the rise of tuition, a multitude of students have highdebt burdens, especially the students from low-income families. Under the pressure of expensive tuition, poor students will drop out of colleges. However, with the rise of inflation, these students have not enough money to pay the tuition even if they get financial aid. Many students are faced with the realization that they need to pay for college tuition has worth more than some people's annual salary. Due to rising inflation, the budget crisis and the increase in the annual number of reasons, some colleges and universities have become economic unattainable. Although they have financial aid, some students still have the debt burden (“Students dropout rate”). These students will study at school while working after the classes have finished everyday. Because those students need to spend more time and energy than others, it is most probable for them to give up their study. For example, an artist student is born in low-income family, and has the grift of art. Her dream is to be a famous artist so she selects the major of art in the university. Nevertheless, she finds that she does not have enough money to pay the tuition. In order to achieve her dream, she works in two different restaurants after school everyday, until she realizes that tuition and incidental fees are quite great and she cannot hold it. Finally, she has no choice but to drop out of school.Bad grades will cause students to drop out of college. Some students stay out in order to finish the homework or review the knowledge that they learned in classes. They want to get satisfactory grades in the end. A good example of it is international students. To study relatively academic knowledge, the international students go to another country, which has this well-known academic in the world. The expectation offamily and proving personal value make international students bear lots of pressure. It necessitates that international students spend more time studying. The more expectation, the more disappointment. Their efforts may not get the corresponding return. Someone gets bad grade at some point. Consequently, they feel depressed and have no motivation to keep studying. When this situation happens again and again, the students have failed by huge pressure so that they drop out of school. A powerful blow makes them unable to get up after a fall. For instance, an international student’s parents wants to their child to study the knowledge of Business because they hope their child can use the relative information to develop their family corporation. Accordingly, the child goes to the United States and studies the Business in the University. With the purpose of achieve his parents’ requirement, the child sets up a specific plan of studying and comply with it all the time. However, to his surprise, his grade is very low. He cannot stop suspecting whether he can hold the family company in the future. Eventually, the child loses confidence and drops out of school.Teen pregnancy is a society problem, which attributes to students dropping out of college. Most people think the reason that students drop out of college is that students do not hard enough. But they ignore another reason which is teen pregnancy. Because of u nwanted pregnancy and childbirth, many young women cannot finish their studies. Studies have reported that 61% of women who have children do not complete their degree at the Community College, less than 20% who gave birth to a child before the age of 18 teenage mothers get a college degree in 30 years (Olivia Marshall). Duringpuberty, teenagers may have the interests in their opposite gender. The students who were born in the poor family may have the probability of pregnancy. In Italy, the birth rate of teen pregnancy only 3.3 per 1,000 in central regions. But Mezzogiorno where is a poor region is 10 per 1,000 (Unicef). The reason is that teen mothers come from poverty are less likely to graduate from high school, which cannot give their children the high family education. The low education makes these children not focus on the problem of teen pregnancy in the future. For example, a child lives in a poor family. Her mother is young but she has 3 children. When her child goes to university, she did not give her suggestion about avoiding of pregnancy because she has the same experiences with it. She did not know what negative effect will affect her child. Until the child has the baby, she had to drop out of school and take care of her baby at home. Teen pregnancy is one of the reasons that students choose to drop out of college. To sum up, people go to school in order to gain knowledge. Going to study, students can make the common-like friends or enrich themselves. Some parents will go back to school and study the courses which relate to their work. A coin has two sides. Lots of people are willing to continue their studying and go to colleges. However, some students are thinking about drop out of schools. They all have their individual problems. The reasons which lead to these students making the decision to leave colleges include the expensive cost of tuition, bad grades and teen pregnancy.Work citedHau, Wingfield. 分析人的性格英语作文初一

分析人的性格英语作文初一When it comes to understanding human behavior, the study of personality types can be a fascinating and insightful endeavor. In this essay, we will explore the basics of personality analysis and how it can be applied to better understand our peers and ourselves.Firstly, it's important to define what we mean by'personality.' Personality can be described as the unique set of characteristics, behaviors, and patterns that make up an individual's mindset and behavior. It is the combination of qualities that distinguish one person from another. One of the most widely recognized methods of personality analysis is the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), which categorizes individuals into 16 different types based on four dichotomies: extraversion (E) vs. introversion (I), sensing (S) vs. intuition (N), thinking (T) vs. feeling (F), and judging (J) vs. perceiving (P). Each type has its own set of strengths and weaknesses, preferences, and ways ofinteracting with the world. For instance, an individual with an ESFP personality type is often outgoing, enjoys being the center of attention, and is very much in tune with the present moment. They are typically warm and affectionate, making them excellent friends and entertainers. On the other hand, an INTJ might be more reserved, preferring to spend time alone to reflect and plan. They are strategic thinkers who value knowledge and competence.Understanding personality types can be beneficial in various aspects of life. In the classroom, it can help teacherstailor their teaching methods to suit the different learning styles and preferences of their students. For example, a teacher might encourage group work for extraverted students while providing more solitary study time for introverted students. In social settings, being aware of personality types can enhance our interactions with others. It can help us to be more empathetic and patient, understanding that people may react differently to the same situation due to their inherent personality traits. Moreover, self-awareness of one's own personality type can lead to personal growth. Recognizing your own strengths and weaknesses can help you make better decisions and setrealistic goals for yourself. It can also improve your relationships, as you learn to appreciate the differences in others and adapt your communication style accordingly. In conclusion, the study of personality types is a valuable tool for understanding human behavior. It can enhance our interactions with others, improve our teaching and learning experiences, and promote self-improvement. As junior high school students, gaining insights into personality types can be a stepping stone towards becoming more socially adept and self-aware individuals.。

Types of students
Every year, many new students attend universities and will eventually separate themselves into different types of students because of their different study conditions. For example, some students like studying and having a positive attitude to study. But some hate studying and forming some bad habits in study. There are four types of students according to the degree of intelligence and diligence.
The first type are smart and diligent students. They are ideal students and often are the teach er’s pets. They enjoy learning knowledge and always listen to the teachers carefully and finish their homework perfectly. As a result, they always get good marks. Sometimes they win championships. The teachers are proud of them and encourage them to become role models for their classmates. After graduating from university, most of them get a good job and will work hard all of their life.
The second type are the smart but not diligent students. They don’t spend extra hour outside of class to study. Most of them are outgoing and be energized in social events and sports. But they often ignore the rules. Sometimes they are punished for playing truant or not finishing homework. They are their teacher’s headache because they always be criticized by teachers and still get good marks. It is said they are more creative and will do better in their career than the first type when they become adults.
The third type are the ordinary students. They may be diligent in study and do things without clear aims. They often study by following their teachers’ plans and pay whole attention to the lessons, listen to every sentence and copy every word from teachers’ writing on the blackboard. They never break the rules. They do not like spend any time on social events. But it seems very hard for them to get a good mark.
The final type are the bad students who see no value in school and are the worse ones. They hate studying because they think study is no use for the future, graduated jobs are unrelated to their majors. In addition, they think it is too difficult for them to study because they have never laid the foundation of study from the beginning. Besides, bad students come to form bad habits, for example, they may be addicted to playing online games, smoking, and hitting the battle. These bad habits may make them lose themselves.
As we can see, every type of students has their own characters. Sometimes one type of students can change to another type. Which type of students are you and which type of students would you like to be?。
