它通过Amy, Lingling和Sam观看的一个关于狗帮助人类的电视节目来引出课文的内容。
重点的句型为He/ She can...和 He/ She can’t.... 但是关于can和can’t的知识在四年级上册的时候已经学习过，所以本课的重点是通过学习几个新的形容词useful，blind，deaf来进一步巩固对can和can’t的句型运用。
