strong power in Chris has been influencing me all the time.Characters and the climate There are mainly three characters : Chris Gardner、Christopher、Linda ,and the leading character is Chris Gardner ,the father.The whole atmosphere is positive ,though there is a large part describing the bitter struggles of Chris ,hisspirit is inspiring , and there is no disappear but hope and stable belief in happiness.Development of eventsThe story of Chris Gardner is divided into six part ,I will introduce them one by one.Part one : Riding the bus It was in San Francisco 1981, Chris spent all his money on buying medical equipments , but later he found that they were unpopular among doctors ,because they were expensive and almost useless.everyday he did his best to promote the equipment to doctors ,but he can‟t earn enough for the rent and kindergarten , his life was difficult.Part two: Being stupid In this part ,Chris had to apply for a work as a stock woker ,so he left the medical equipment with a girl ,but the girl took it away!what a accident!Part three : Running He ran after the girl who had stolen the equipment ,finally ,he took it back ,another situation is that he had no money for the taxi ,so he escaped;eventually,he was sent to the prison for owing the taxes ,and the next morning ,he ran to the stock company for a interview with paint stains on his body.Part four : Internship Chris got the job as a internship for six months without salary ，it was really a hard time for him ,he had to sell the equipment while working as a internship.Afterall , he earned some money from the medical equipmentsPart five : Paying taxes In this part ,there was a big hit to him ,the government took $600 from his account and he only had $21.33 left ,he was broke again.this part was the most impressive but inspiring one.During that time ,he and his son spent a night in the WC ,and lived in the church hospice for many days ,although there were many barriers ,he carried on seeking for the Go Get It!——The feeling after watching the Pursuit of HappinesI had heard this movie for long before I watched it,but I never imagined it would impress and encourage me so much until I watch it.The Pursuit of Happines is a great movie filmed in 2006 according to a true story that a poor man named Chris Gardner who is out of work and supports his home only by selling bone-density scanners which is not so popular as he thought.One day his wife left him because they could not afort their rent and taxes and life had became so hard.Then he and his son were expelled by his host.They were homeless,sleeping in the subway,in the toilet and begging a bed in the church.Even so,despite how desperate Chris was,he never stopped loving,protecting and cheering up his son.During that hard time,Chris met a man smiling out of a super car and people around him was as happy as him.He asked the man what he does and the man told him he was a stockbroker.Since then he determined to be a stockbroker and pursuit his happiness.He try to seek the opportunity to meet the leaders of the stockbroker company and show his talent and determination to him.Finally he got the opportunity to be one of 20 interships of that company for a 6-month training without salary.Life becames harder for him as not only did he have to contact with hundreds of clients everyday, study for his test,but also he had to pick up his son from nursery, hurry to the line in front of the church for a bed,take a good care of him,and run to sell the scanner for their living.Although had experienced failure and insult so many times,Chris never gave up.In the end,he beated the other 19 men and got the job as a stockbroker,and so the happiness came to him as he had expected.It is a story with a satisfatory ending but a long and hard development.Life is hard,and happiness will not come to you in vain.Just like the sentence that the movie cites from The Declaration of Independence says,’everyone has the right to life,liberty and the pursuit of happiness.Why Thomas Jefferson put a’pursuit’ part in there?The hero thought maybe happiness is the thing that we can pursuit but will never get.The truth is,from the whole movie we can learn,that happiness is the thing someone can get only by pursuit,harder and harder,never giving up.That’s what the movie mainly tells us,and what moves me most.Besides the encouraging theme,another part that touch my heart is the father’s love.After searching some background I learn that the hero Chris and his son Christopher in the movie are also father and son in real life.I think that’s a main reason why they play it so naturally and moving.The movie start with a shot that Chris went to pick up Christopher,and every time when Chris stayed with his son,the air became warm and happy.Chris taught his son to be strong and determined when they were playing basketball,and his son tells Chris some jokes when they were coming home.I almost cried when I watch two moments when they stayed with each other.One is when they were sleeping in the toilet of the subway.The father told his son they had got into a cave through a time machine to comfort him,and held him tightly as he fell asleep.When some one hit the door of the toilet trying to get in,he tightly cover his son’s ears in case of waking him up.In orther not to be expelled out,he propped the door with his foot,quiet,shivering,with his tear running down his cheek.That really makes me see how great a father’s love can be.The other part is when they are in the church at night.Chris had to fix his scanner under the light in the stair,but his son in the bed wouldn’t like to let him leave.Chris told his son he would not go far and he can hear him when he calls.The son finally said,’I trust you.You are a really good papa’.I think it’s his son’s love and trust that give his strength and support him to go through every hardship to eventually get success.Poor and desperate at first,then trying to work hard to get the opportunity,and finally becoming rich and happy.Generally speaking,the Pursuit of Happiness is an ordinary type of inspirational film.But I don’t think it boring at all with so many funny episodes,such as magic cube in the taxi,hippies who stoles the scanner,a beggar who believe the scanner is a time machine and so on.And the soft pleasant background music makes me love the movie more.All of those imply people to be optimistic as the hero when they are going through hardships.Even though there is no delicious food,no comfortable bed,the life still goes on,and you have to believe everything will grow better through your effort.Just as the song in the movie,’Lord,do not move that mountain.Give me strenghth to climb it.’That’s a respectful will to pursuit happiness.Once we go though the mountain,we will find a beautiful garden,only which is our really life,a happy life.‘If you want something,go get it.Period.’Chris told his son.I want to say,if you It is based on a true story of the famous of self-made millionaires Chris GardnerThere are mainly three characters : Chris Gardner 、Christopher、Linda, and the leading character is Chris Gardner ,the father. The whole atmosphere is positive, though there is a large part describing the bitter struggles of Chris, his spirit is inspiring, and there is no disappear but hope and stable belief in happiness. It could be seen that Chris could not improve his family life through his hard work. What was worse, his wife Linda left him because of the hard life. However, Chris did not give in and give up. He tried his best to build a happy life for his little son and finally he became a successful investor. I think it is really a good movie ,we are unique and we are ourselves, just hold a dream and do what you can do ,and do your best ,don’t ever let somebody tell you that you can’t do something .If you want something ,go and get it . It is said that the move is from a true story, so we should believe the sentence that “Everything is possible”. stopped loving,protecting and cheering up his son.During that hard time,Chris met a man smiling out of a super car and people around him was as happy as him.He asked the man what he does and the man told him he was a stockbroker.Since then he determined to be a stockbroker and pursuit his happiness.He try to seek the opportunity to meet the leaders of the stockbroker company and show his talent and determination to him.Finally he got the opportunity to be one of 20 interships of that company for a 6-month training without salary.Life becames harder for him as not only did he have to contact with hundreds of clients everyday, study for his test,but also he had to pick up his son from nursery, hurry to the line in front of the church for a bed,take a good care of him,and run to sell the scanner for their living.Although had experienced failure and insult so many times,Chris never gave up.In the end,he beated the other 19 men and got the job as a stockbroker,and so the happiness came to him as he had expected.It is a story with a satisfatory ending but a long and hard development.Life is hard,and happiness will not come to you in vain.Just like the sentence that the movie cites from The Declaration of Independence says,’everyone has the right to life,liberty and the pursuit of happiness.Why Thomas Jefferson put a’pursuit’part in there?The hero thought maybe happiness is the thing that we can pursuit but will never get.The truth is,from the whole movie we can learn,that happiness is the thing someone can get only by pursuit,harder and harder,never giving up.That’s what the movie mainly tells us,and what moves me most.Besides the encouraging theme,another part that touch my heart is the father’s love.After searching some background I learn that the hero Chris and his son Christopher in the movie are also father and son in real life.I think that’s a main reason why they play it so naturally and moving.The movie start with a shot that Chris went to pick up Christopher,and every time when Chris stayed with his son,the air became warm and happy.Chris taught his son to be strong and determined when they were playing basketball,and his son tells Chris some jokes when they were coming home.I almost cried when I watch two moments when they stayed with each other.One is when they were sleeping in the toilet of the subway.The father told his son they had got into a cave through a time machine to comfort him,and held him tightly as he fell asleep.When some one hit the door of the toilet trying to get in,he tightly cover his son’s ears in case of waking him up.In orther not to be expelled out,he propped the door with his foot,quiet,shivering,with his tear running down his cheek.That really makes me see how great a father’s love can be.The other part is when they are in the church at night.Chris had to fix his scanner under the light in the stair,but his son in the bed wouldn’t like to let him leave.Chris told his son he would not go far and he can hear him when he calls.The son finally said,’I trust you.You are a really good papa’.I think it’s his son’s love and trust that give his strength and support him to go through every hardship to eventually get success.Poor and desperate at first,then trying to work hard to get the opportunity,and finally becoming rich and happy.Generally speaking,the Pursuit of Happiness is an ordinary type of inspirational film.But I don’t think it boring at all with so many funny episodes,such as magic cube in the taxi,hippies who stoles the scanner,a beggar who believe the scanner is a time machine and so on.And the soft pleasant background music makes me love the movie more.All of those imply people to be optimistic as the hero when they are going through hardships.Even though there is no delicious food,no comfortable bed,the life still goes on,and you have to believe everything will grow better through your effort.Just as the song in the movie,’Lord,do not move that mountain.Give me strenghth to climb it.’That’s a respectful will to pursuit happiness.Once we go though the mountain,we will find a beautiful garden,only which is our really life,a happy life.‘If you want something,go Though I have seen the movie “The Pursuit of Happiness” several times, it could still impressed me deeply when I watched it last semester. Due to the charm of this movie, I decided to write something in my winter vacation. Now, I’d like to analyze this movie from four aspects: the nature of the film, development of events, characters and the climate and the significance it leaves to us.The nature of the film:The movie is inspired by a true story of Chris Gardner, who managed to pull himself and his young son up in the early 80s. It shows us how the protagonist struggles for a better life and pursues his happiness. It is a motivational film. Development of events:The story can be divided into six parts: riding the bus, being stupid, running, internship, paying taxes and happiness. First part introduces some basic information about protagonist’s life: everyday he tried his best to promote the equipment to doctors, but he could not earn enough for the rent and kindergarten--his life was not easy. In part two and three, in order to have a better life, Chris had to apply for a job as a stockbroker. We can call it the beginning of pursuing his happiness. The story developed in part four and five: Chris had to sell the equipment to paying all kinds of taxes while he got the job as a internship for six months without salary. Although there were many barriers, he carried on seeking for the happiness. The climax appeared in the sixth part: Chris became a successful stockbroker worker and he got the happiness.The movie attracts us by describing the story step by step which is the basic element of a wonderful movie. After watching the movie, the whole life of Chris has been impressed in our minds.Characters and the climate:This movie is starred by Will Smith who is a admirable and famous actor. He plays the character Chris as an energetic and talented man who never gives up. Though the subject of the movie is serious, the whole atmosphere is rather positive, and the film releases the energy by the perfect performance of the actor. Also there are two other characters :Christopher and Linda. They are good supporting roles who foilthe characteristic of the protagonist.Seen from the delicate relationship with his wife, his life seemed to be so helpless, that reflected his personalities and determination to pursue happiness. On the other hand, love for his son let him continue to adhere to his ideal.Significance:Jefferson's Declaration of Independence had promised three important rights for every person, but the happiness among them cannot be guaranteed. In the film, Chris had to work very hard to lead his family into a good life. However, no matter how hard he tried, he still could not get a better life or even made worse:his wife left him due to financial problem. Although encountering so many setbacks, he still insisted on and pursued happiness. With his great efforts, he realized his dream and leaded a happy life.There are some personalities accounting for his success: self-motivation, strong spirit and witty humor. Everyone yearns for success and happiness. So try to develop some advantages like Chris’s during our daily life while, in the meantime, we should believe that God is justice for us and happiness is not far from us.There is no doubt that we all know that a mother’s love is great, however, this film also shows the greatness of a father. Under such heavy life pressure, Chris still paid much attention to his son’s education and tried his best to make his son happy and let him keep childlike innocence. Watching Chris and his son walked with hand in hand happily in the end of the film, I was moved. So, as a son or daughter, we should learn to be thankful for our parents in our daily life.。

To be honest , this move is really a big shock to me , and the strong power in Chris has been influencing me all the time .My views on the storyAfter the move ,I thought of many things :we hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equally , that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights ,that among these are life ,liberty and the pursuit of happiness . I think Chris must have read the above paragraph for many times and believed it unswervingly.At the beginning of the move, after Chris has sent Christopher to the kindergarten , he saw a wrong word on the wall ,and said the famous sentence : There is no …Y‟in happiness ,the only thing we can do is striving for our own happiness voluntarily .Just like Chris do.The silly scene of taking a bus was a part of Chris Gardner‟s life , in the move , Chris Gardner ,a poor father ,who had his wife left him ,because she could‟t handle her life without financial security .while Chris was selling medical equipment to doctors , she decided get away from her poor family . Although under great pressure , Chris chose to stick it out, and fight for what he known he can do ,for him ,and for his son. He is strong in spirit ,whatever barriers he meet ,he just continued his work and never stopped running .but it looks like that god likes to play tricks with him , he had gone through more hardships than others before the final success .I think it is really a good move ,we are unique and we are ourselves ,just hold a dream and do what you can do ,and do your best ,don‟t ever let somebody tell you that you can‟t do something .If you want something ,go and get it . 当幸福来敲门英文影评(2006)With a title like The Pursuit of Happyness, you expect the characters to get to the promised land. They do, but if the journey matters more than the destination, this is a movie to skip. The Pursuit of Happyness is long, dull, and depressing. It expands into two hours a story that could have been told more effectively in one. This is not the feel-good movie of the season unless you believe that a few moments of good cheer can redeem 110 minutes of gloom. Sitting through The Pursuit of Happyness is a chore. Downbeat movies aren't inherently bad (in fact, many are powerful), but this one provides artificial characters in contrived circumstances. How is it that movies "inspired by a real story" often feel more fake than those fully embedded in the realm of fiction?Will Smith has generated Oscar buzz for his portrayal of Chris Gardner, the real-life guy whoserags-to-riches story forms the basis of the movie. (Impoverished guy becomes capitalist poster boy.) While it's fair to say that this is one of the best straight performances of Smith's career, it didn't blow me away. In and of itself, the acting, while effective, is not Best Actor material, but it wouldn't surprise me if the movie's prestige factor and Smith's popularity earn him a nod. Meanwhile, his female co-star, Thandie Newton, isn't going to be considered for any award. Newton spends about 90% of her screen time doing an impersonation of a harpy: screeching, bitching, and contorting her face into unpleasant expressions. Smith's son, Jaden, is okay as the movie's child protagonist; it's unclear whether his occasional deficiencies are the result of his acting, Steven Conrad's writing, or Gabriele Muccino's direction, but there's not much personality behind the cute features and curly hair.Chris Gardner (Will Smith) is down on his luck. It's 1981 San Francisco and his self-employed business of selling portable bone density scanners isn't doing well. His wife, Linda (Thandie Newton), does nothing but yell at him and give him a cold shoulder, and the lack of domestic harmony is impacting the disposition of his beloved son, Christopher (Jaden Christopher Syre Smith). That's when Chris' life turns into a country song. His wife leaves. He is evicted from his home. He goes to jail, neither passing GO nor collecting a much-needed $200. He gets hit by a car. He is robbed. He makes his son cry. He alienates a friend over $14. He gets to spend a night in the cleanest public restroom in the history of public restrooms. But there's a bright spot, although you need a dark-adapted eye to find it. Despite having no experience, Chris applies to enter an internship program at Dean Witter. He would appear to have no chance to get in until he amazes the head of the program (Brian Howe) by solving the Rubik's Cube puzzle in the back of a taxi cab.It's a blessing that the movie doesn't use a stock villain to impede Chris' herky-jerky trip to the top, because that would have tipped the movie into the empire of the unwatchable. However, the lack of a strong conflict makes the two-hour running length seem very long. Thankfully, there's also not much in the way of overt melodrama, but that could be a byproduct of having characters who are not deeply realized and have narrow emotional ranges. It's tough to connect with Chris and his son. Although they are played by a real-life father and son, there's no chemistry between them. We're constantly told how desperately Chris loves Christopher, but it takes a long time before we begin to buy it. Most of the time, Christopher seems like an annoying piece of baggage that Chris drops off at daycare when he has other things to do.The film's most compelling scenes are those that show Chris struggling to enter the rat race. Granted, this is no Glengarry Glen Ross, but it shows the pressure these salesmen are under and how important the contact lists are. In the overall scheme of things, however, these sequences are background noise. They are neither plentiful nor lengthy. The movie spends more time following Chris on his futile sales rounds for the bone density scanner than it does accompanying him during his broker training.The moral of the story is as trite as they come: don't let anyone convince you to give up on your dreams. Disney animated films have been doing this better for decades. The Pursuit of Happyness concludes with a caption that tells us what happens to Chris after the end of the movie; it promises a better story than the one we have just watched. The film is also marred by a persistent (although not verbose) voiceover that adds nothing to the story while frequently jerking us out of the experience of watching it. I don't need Will Smith telling me: "This part of the story is called 'riding the bus.'"This is the English-language debut of Gabriele Muccino, who has made a name for himself in Italian cinema. The Pursuit of Happyness has the kind of slow, drab tone one occasionally associates with a director raised outside of the Hollywood system. What can be an asset in some circumstances is a detriment in this one. The Pursuit of Happyness isn't enjoyable, and its meager pleasures, including the eventual "payoff," aren't enough to justify the unrelenting misery. The Pursuit of Happyness is competently made and gets lots of the details right, but when it comes to the emotional core of the story, it loses the pursuit and misses the "happyness."。
