26神州文化《远大前程》中的人物群像及主题浅析李彬 李朋远 程琦国际关系学院摘要：长篇小说《远大前程》是英国维多利亚时期，著名作家狄更斯晚年的作品。
故事中，主人公皮普是一个孤儿，随姐姐和姐夫一起生活，在年幼时是一个十分单纯善良的小孩子，曾帮助了逃犯马格韦契。
在结识了郝维仙和艾丝塔娜之后，他深为自己的贫困和目光短浅而感到羞愧。
某日之后，他收到一份不具名的资助，让他开始过上等人的生活。
这期间他逐渐挥霍无度，开始齿于与老实敦厚但生活在乡村的贫困的姐夫乔来往，但同时他也为自己的虚荣感到自责，深受两种感受和思想的煎熬。
最后，他知道了资助他的人并不是郝维仙，而是童年时他帮助过的一个囚犯，他因此又陷入矛盾之中，最后寻回了真实善良的自我，开始努力生活，而不是沉溺于上流社会虚假的繁华。

他的姐姐十分暴躁，姐夫又逆来顺受，因此他对周边的人和事物十分关注而敏感。
