语言教学，特别是启蒙阶段的语言教学，如果花费大量的时间让学生机械地记忆脱离语言环境的语言，学习他们很难理解的语法知识，是很难激发学生的学习兴趣，培养他们的语言能力的。
多年的教学实践证明，教师在教学中为学生提供实践机会和语言情境，并以paia work ， group work ， games 等多种组织形式，让学生在有限的课堂内有尽可能多的机会体验语言情境的感受，使学生在语境中得到语言习惯的养成，从而达到激发学生学习英语的兴趣，变脱离生活的英语知识传授为生动活泼的真实生活体验，从而让学生在快乐中增长知识，内化能力。
一、创设真实、自然的课堂语言环境，体现语言运用
任何有意义的言语交际活动都是在特定的情境中进行的，教师在课堂上创设一系列丰富、真实、自然的语言环境，有利于发展学生的心理机能，培养学生的道德情感。
让学生置身于这种模拟的文化背景中进行角色扮演活动，并指导他们尽量按照角色特点和特有的语言环境正确地运用语言，这有利于学生逐步提高结合社会文化背景参与人际交往的意识和能力。
1、教学活动设计要贴近生活
语言本身即是生活的体现，把真实的生活引进课堂，缩短英语与现实生活的距离，努力把课堂变成一个交际的舞台，让学生在使用语言中学习，在学习中使用语言，因此活动的设计要贴近生活，例如在讲八年级上册unit6 l’m more out going than my sister 时，可以设计这几种对比①同学之间；②老师之间；③我的过去和现在之间。

课前2～3分钟的 free talk 可以起到温故而知新的效果，发言同学可依据自己的英语实际水平，可采用师生问答、生生互问互答、自由表述等方式进行，内容可结合学习进度、时令、天气、学校、家庭、班级或一些问路、看病、购物、打电话等话题进行课前交流，其余同学认真倾听，教师针对发言内容向全班同学提问，这样既了解同学们对所听信息的捕捉情况，又使同学们集中注意力全身心参与教学活动。

结合所教内容合理使用多媒体辅助教学设施、语言实验室、简笔画、实物和身势语等手段可直观、形象、有效在再现语言，可使教学生动形象，使知识化难为易，便于学生理解和记忆。
2、以欣赏的眼光对待每一位学生
据情感教学心理学原理，教师可从情感的角度对教学评价进行优化处理，以欣赏的眼光对待每位学生，使自己对学生学习中的反应作出认知反馈的同时还要给予情感上的影响，以充分发挥学生在情感方面的积极作用，使其乐学、愿学。
