摘要:A sensor connector (2) comprises a conductive outer housing (4) within which is mounted a certain length of shielded cable connected to receptacle terminals (38) that receive pins of a sensor. A shield element (40, 140) extends across the inside of the outer housing (4) to provide a shield means between the sensor and the cable leads (18). In one embodiment the shield (140) is stamped and formed, and in the other the shield (40) is a printed circuit board with a ground plane on one side and surface mounted capacitors on the other side interconnected to the terminals for filtering the signal. Soldering of the filter elements to the ground planes, and soldering of the terminals to the filter elements provides a shock resistant connection that is necessary for such applications.

The connector includes a nut at the leading end of the connector, a tubular shank having a flange on a leading end thereof and a barb concentrically disposed on a trailing end, a slotted body portion and a compressionsleeve slidably attached to the body portion forming the trailing end of the connector. The connector, and each of the components associated therewith, has an axial conduit coextensive with the length thereof. When the prepared end of a coaxial cable is inserted into the trailing end of the connector conduit and advanced through the conduit into the body portion, the shank separates the outer protective jacket and conductive braid of the cable from the dielectric core and interposes the barbed portion of the tubular shank therebetween. Subsequent advancement of the compression sleeve over the body portion, with the assistance of a compression tool, compresses the cable jacket and braid in two locations providing secure attachment. Following compression, further advancement of the compression sleeve is stopped when an annular ridge within the compression sleeve engages a groove in the outer surface of the slotted body portion, thereby providing a stable mechanical connection between the cable and connector. A first “O” ring disposed between the tubular shank and the nut, and a second “O” ring disposed between the slotted body portion and compression sleeve, provide a moisture seal. 摘要:PURPOSE:To confirm the electrical connection condition between the connector of a printed substrate and the connector of a cable by forming a regressive loop, and detecting the condition when a signal passing through the regressive loop is cut off on the way. CONSTITUTION:The terminal of a connector 105 at the unit side earthed in a unit 102 is connected to the signal line 108a of a cable 107 through a connector 106 at the cable side, and furthermore, connected to a specific terminal of a connector 103 at the unit side through a connector 104 at the cable side. This specific terminal is connected to the second specific terminal of the connector 103 in a unit 101, and this terminal is corresponding to the terminal connected to the signal line 108b of the connector 104. The signal line 108b is connected to the specific terminal of the connector 105 through the connector 106. As a result, a regressive loop is formed, and when a signal passing through the loop is cut off, it is detected so as to confirm the electrical connection condition between the connector of a printed substrate and the connector of the cable.
