因此,为了适应英语教学的发展需要,需要引入新的评价手段和方法。

评价手段应该是丰富多样的,根据目的、作用和特点的不同,可以分成构成性评价、终结性评价、测试性评价、非测试性评价等等。

在教学中,应该注意构成性评价和终结性评价的恰当组合,互相补充,综合运用。

对学生的评价应该重视激励、重发展和重本事。

科学全面的评价能够为教学的改善提供可靠的反馈信息和质量监控和导向,更能对学生的全面发展起到诊断、激励和强化的作用。

因此,评价应该强化评价的诊断和发展功能,弱化评价的选拔和淘汰作用;强化评价的内在激励作用,弱化评价的外在诱因和压力作用,并研究和尝试建立有利于学生健康成长的激励性评价机制。

教师应该通过评价让学生了解自己的发展状态,体验到提高和成功的感觉,从而产生提高的动力。

为了达到这个目的,教师需要将评价贯穿于日常的教育教学活动中,发挥评价的教育功能,并且要让学生喜欢评价,这是评价中的一个重要原则——激励性原则。

蔡桂华教师认为,教师应该转变以往对学生评价的观念,淡化选拔意识,增强普及意识;淡化分数意识,增强素质。

在英语课程的研究过程中,教师应该让学生不断体验提高与成功,认识自我,建立自信,促进学生综合语言运用本领的全面发展。
