not only...but also...连接并列的主语时，主谓一致采用就近原则。
如：Not only the door but the windows are open.（连接并列主语）不仅门开着，窗户也开着。
Step 4: 条件状语从句条件状语从句可分为两种：真实条件句和非真实条件句/虚拟条件句。
真实条件句意味着句中的动作很可能发生。
两种从句的重点都在于时态搭配。
主句和从句的先后次序无关紧要。
1.真实条件句（1）if从句：一般现在时（表将来），主句：一般将来时will do...I will buy it if the price is fair.如果价格公平，我会买下它。
（2）if从句：一般现在时，S.＋情态动词＋V.If your documents are in order, you may/can leave at once.如果你的证明文件都齐备了你可以马上就走。
（3）if从句：一般现在时，祈使句If you want to lose weight, eat less bread.如果你想减肥，少吃面包。
注意：在真实条件句中，主句不能用be going to表示将来，该用shall, will。
（错）If you leave now, you are never going to regret it.（对）If you leave now, you will never regret it.（4）表示真理时，主句谓语动词便不用shall(will)＋动词原形，而直接用一般现在时的动词形式。
如：If you heat ice, it turns to water.如果把冰加热，它就化成水。
