区各中小学：
2014蜀山区中小学英语口语风采大赛5月份经各校初赛选拔推荐，中小学四个组别共有1863人参加区级比赛，根据获奖比例，决出了一等奖、二等奖、三等奖若干名，其中一等奖中88名优秀选手将进入区级现场展示及决赛，角逐各组特等奖奖项，现将决赛有关事项通知如下：
决赛地点：江淮学校
决赛时间：6月17日（周二）
上午：小学组选手8点签到抽取顺序号，8点半准时开始比赛。
下午：中学组选手2点签到抽取顺序号，2点半准时开始比赛。
决赛环节：
1、小学选手进行英语自我介绍（不超过1分钟）、英语故事（不超过2分钟）、现场提问三个环节。
2、中学选手进行英语自我介绍（不超过1分钟）、在指定的6篇文章中随机抽取1篇进行背诵、即兴演讲回答三个环节。
请各校老师通知参赛选手准时到达赛场抽签，各校必须安排一名教师带队，注意学生安全。

SPBCN中国英文拼字大赛来合肥啦
8月11日，“SPBCN中国英文拼字大赛全球冠军中国赛暨2016-2017赛季中国地区启动新闻发布会”在北京正式拉开帷幕，标志着新一赛季的中国英文拼字大赛正式起航。
它是全球历史最悠久、参与人数最多的英语赛事。
值得高兴的是，这项被誉为英语界的“奥林匹克”赛事进入合肥了，《新安晚报·家庭教育特刊》将掀起一场英文拼字风暴！
有一种赛事叫Spelling Bee 拼字大赛
可能很多人对英文拼字大赛不太熟悉，但是说到《中国汉字拼写大赛》，大家就都很了解，其实它的创意还是来源于“祖母”级的SpellingBee美国拼字大赛。
Spelling Bee拼字大赛始于1852年，大赛凭借其极高的趣味性和观赏性从起初十几人的拼词比赛，发展为享誉全球的年度性英文拼字大赛。
5年前，中国地区正式加入该赛事，到目前为止，已经成功举办了3届中国英文拼字大赛，向大赛选送了许多优秀学生，同时打开了一扇通往世界舞台的大门。
作为全球历史最悠久，参与人数最多的英文赛事，赛制形式简单、公正、刺激，靠实力说话。
最高冠军还有机会获得美国总统白宫接见的礼遇，参赛的经历和成绩非常有利于申请美国名校。

今年，合肥首次亮相中国英文拼字大赛，受到省内专家和教育人
士的重视和大力支持，为了选拔真正的英语人才，组委会组建了一支专业而有权威的专家评审团。
“词汇累积，是一个漫长的过程。
参加拼写大赛，可以让学生掌握一种拼读规则，做到见字会读，听音会写。
同时，可以提高学生构造词汇的能力，通过对英语发展史的了解，明白各种外来词的拼写规律，会极大丰富学生的词汇量。
”作为合肥赛区组委会评委之一，徽省教育学会中小外国语教学专业委员会副理事长、秘书长，国家基础教育外语教学研究中心副主任杜效明教授表示，中国英文拼字大赛非常有意义，它提供了一个实践机会和一种学习英语的有效方法。
有一种竞争叫Word Champion, World Champion！
“从来只有‘拼’出来的美丽，没有等出来的辉煌。
”87届spellingbee中国区总冠军王曦元说。
据了解，Spelling Bee of China新赛季从每年9月份开始启动，各个城市组委会以城市为单位进行该城市的选拔。
以初赛—复赛—区域选拔赛—城市选拔赛的方式，最终进入到次年3月份的中国区总决赛，中国区总决赛将筛选出晋级本赛季7月份北美城市冠军挑战赛以及8月份全球冠军中国挑战赛的参赛选手。
“我们希望为合肥的青少年提供一个国际化的英语赛事训练和比赛的平台，为将来赴海外学习和交流的学生培养良好的国际化水平。
”合肥组委会陈老师说。
