教学反思本节课选材于人教版新目标八年级下册英语Unit9 Reading Singapore-- A Place You Will Never Forget.文章主要从新加坡的地理位置、人口情况、饮食文化、特色夜间动物园和气温来介绍这个国家。
学生要通过对文章的学习掌握一些生单词、短语，难点是学会缩写课文，主要采用猜词、浏览阅读、缩写、查读的方式进行教学。
读前阶段，先呈现新加坡著名旅游景点和地标建筑以便让学生结合地理知识和生活常识去判断本节课要学习什么。
然后询问几个和这个国家相关的地理知识，考察学生已有知识水平。
而这几个问题的答案在文章中都出现了，在考察地理知识的同时，也检测了学生的预习状况。
读中，先让学生浏览全篇课文，找到每一段分别讲述什么内容，然后用连线的方式完成这一任务。
采用连线法，可以帮助学习能力稍微弱一点的同学找到自信。
然后采用不同的方法分段处理文章，将一篇文章细化成四段，这样学生的注意力会更加集中。
比如，第一段词汇学习采用词义连线法，内容采用本节课的新技能——信息采集法；第二段的词汇采用找出近义词的方式从第二段中找出对应的词，内容用判断正误法来检测学生理解情况；第三段的词汇用英译汉的方式处理，内容则采用补全短文的方法，短文其实就是本段的缩写，为全文的缩写奠定课基础；第四段的词汇用汉译英处理，内容则采用回答问题的方式了解学生掌握状况。
词汇部分是学生预习时自己必须要准备的内容，所以处理起来相对来说会快很多，学生就有充足的时间仔细阅读文章每一段落，从而达到加深对文章内容理解的目的。
读后，通过一部分练习来检测学生对于整篇文章的理解情况。
最后的难点缩写文章，让学生分组分段去缩写，即每一组只缩写一段，这样可以有效减轻学生的心理压力和作业压力。
在当堂检测后，将剩下段落的缩写作为家庭作业完成，第二天收上来再进行检查，以达到反馈的目的。
从整体上讲本节课的思路清晰，教学进度张弛有度，大部分学生都能积极主动参与到不同的实践活动中，即使是平时不太喜欢学英语的学生也在动笔参与活动。
