From reading stories to practicing functional language, it really helped improve my overall English ability. The varied activities and group work also made it quite enjoyable. Looking forward to 7th grade English next year!篇2Here are classroom notes for a 6th grade English textbook from the People's Education Press, written from a student's perspective in English with around 2000 words:English Class Notes - 6th Grade Volume 2Unit 1: My HobbyToday we started a new unit all about hobbies. Ms. Wang had us watch a video about different kids talking about their favorite hobbies like singing, dancing, playing football, and reading comics. Then we learned some new vocabulary words related to hobbies:• collection - a bunch of things someone likes to collect, like stamps or coins• outgoing - friendly and talkative• indoor/outdoor - activities you do inside or outside• attend - to go to an event or place regularlyWe practiced using the words by talking about our own hobbies with partners. I told Xiaoming that my hobby is playing video games - I'm pretty good at battle royale games! He said his hobby is indoor sports like ping pong. For homework, we have to write a paragraph describing our hobby and what we like about it. Ms. Wang said using some of the new vocabulary will help make our writing more interesting.Unit 2: Traveling AroundThis week's unit was all about traveling to different places. We learned travel vocabulary like:• destination - where you are going• souvenir - small gift or item from the place you visited• custom - a tradition or way of doing things• scenery - the landscapes and views in an areaWe read a story about two kids visiting their grandparents in a village for Spring Festival. I didn't know some of the customs they talked about, like eating dumplings and giving out red envelopes. The scenery in the village sounded really pretty though! Our homework was to write about a place we've traveled before or would like to visit. I wrote about wanting to go to Tokyo one day because I love anime and videogames from Japan. The cool technology and awesome scenery would be so fun to see in real life.Unit 3: My FutureThis unit was about thinking ahead to our future goals and dreams. Some of the key vocabulary:• career - a job you train for and do long-term• degree - a diploma from graduating university• citizenship - being a citizen of a country• achievement - an important thing you accomplishWe had to interview our parents about their careers and education. My dad said he got a degree in engineering from Tsinghua University. He wanted that career because he was always good at math and science. Then we wrote about our own future hopes. I'm still not totally sure what career I want, but I wrote that I'd like to achieve success as a video game designer or pro gamer one day. I'll have to work really hard in school though!I felt like this unit was good practice for thinking ahead. Even though middle school is almost over, there's still so much more to learn and decide about my future.Unit 4: Protecting NatureThis unit covered some heavy topics about environmental protection and sustainability. We learned words like:• pollution - contamination of the air, water, or land• conservation - protecting and preserving nature• renewable - a resource that can be replenished, like solar power• consu mption - using up resources through buying and wasteWe read a lot of facts and statistics about problems caused by things like air pollution, plastic waste in the oceans, and consumption of fossil fuels. It was pretty scary realizing how much damage is being done to the planet. For our assignment, we had to come up with ideas for ways to be more environmentally friendly at home and school. I suggested we could recycle more and try to reduce energy consumption by turning off lights. Xiaoming had a good idea about starting a recycling campaign to teach more people.I feel like I learned a lot from this unit about why conservation is so critical for the future. Even small changes in our habits can make a difference in protecting the environment.Overall, this book has covered a really wide range of interesting topics so far. I've learned some great vocabulary and reading about different cultures, places, and issues has expanded my perspective. I'm slowly but surely becoming more prepared for the challenges of middle school English!篇3Here are some classroom notes on the 6th grade English textbook from the People's Education Press, written from a student's perspective (around 2000 words):6th Grade English Class Notes (Volume 2)Unit 1: My HobbyLearned vocab for different hobbies like swimming, reading, hiking, etc.Practiced making simple sentences about our hobbies using "I like..." structureReading passages about kids talking about their favorite pastimesLearned to ask "What's your hobby?" and answer clearlyFun activity: Drew pictures of our hobbies and presented to classUnit 2: Days of the WeekNew vocab: days of the week, months of the yearSang a song to practice the days in orderRead a short text about a girl's weekly scheduleLearned to ask "What day is it today?" and give dateMade a calendar showing our weekly activitiesUnit 3: Earning MoneyVocab about different jobs kids can do: delivery, tutoring, etc.Learned "I'm a..." structure to talk about jobsReading about two students who earn money by workingUseful dialog practice: "How do you earn money?"
