那么，我们大学生又应该如何通过自身行动来构建和谐社会呢？首先，我们要培养正确的思想意识，用科学的思想理论武装我们的头脑，形成正确的世界观、人生观、价值观。
我们要以社会公认的基本道德规范为基础，以全面发展为目标，增强构建社会主义和谐社会的信心和责任感。
不仅如此，我们还应该坚持四项基本原则，努力学习马克思列宁主义、毛泽东思想、邓小平理论和“三个代表”以及“八荣八耻”的重要思想，以科学发展观为指导，努力提高自己对构筑和谐社会这一重大战略决策的认识和理解。

一、锻炼培养适应择业需要的实践能力
知识的积累并不等同于能力积累，将知识升为能力须作出巨大的努力，在完成学习任务前提下，应争取培养自己的社会需要的实际应用能力：
（1）适应能力：根据客观情况变化能随机应变地适时调节择业行为能力。
现代社会是复杂多变的，要适应这种状况，保证自己从学校到社会顺利过渡就应该提高自己社会适应能力。
学校教育是基础教育、通才教育。
走上工作岗位后，有知识用不上、有些不够用、有的要从头学起，这就要求刚走上工作岗位的毕业生根据工作的需要去调整自己的知识结构、能力结构及行为方式，尽快培养自己的社会应变能力。
（2）人际交往能力：妥善处理人与人之间的关系，并与他人和谐共处、共同发展。
生活、工作中需要与许多人交往，这就难免发生矛盾。
作为大学生只有具备人际交往能力善于处理各种人际关系才能在工作中充分施展自己的才能。
在人际交往中，要以我们民族善良、诚实的传统美德来善待他人，“将心换心”“以诚相待”，学会尊重他人；要换位思考，多为他人设身处地着想，这样才能得到他人尊重；要学会能干大事，又能干小事的本领；学会处理具体问题时既坚持原则又不失灵活。
（3）表达能力：以语言或其他方式展示自己思想感情的能力，它是交流思想、交流感情的基础性素质，故又称为语言文字沟通能力。
表达能力包括口头表达能力和书面表达能力。
口头表达能力要求语言的流畅性、灵活性和艺术性，书面表达能力要求文句的逻辑性、艺术性和条理性。
（4）开拓创新能力：用已积累的知识通过不断探索研究在脑中创造出新的思维，提出新的见解和做出新选择的能力。
它包括发现问题、提出问题、发现规律的能力，创造性地分析问题和解决问题的能力，发明新技术、创造新产品的能力，提出新思想的能力。
（5）动手能力：把创造思维变成实际的物质成果或是用生动形象的实践过程呈现创造性思维的转化能力。
这种动手能力对工科大学生尤为重要，即在实际工作中既能讲出科学道理又能动手干出样子。
大学生充分利用实习和勤工俭学机会提高自己的动手能力。
（6）组织管理能力：包括计划能力、组织实践能力、决断能力、指导能力和平衡能力。
用人单位对具有一定交往能力的大学生越来越重视，许多单位挑选大学生时不仅注重学业成绩同时对在校是否担任学生干部、担任过社会工作很感兴趣。
因此，大学生在校期间应积极参加社会活动，尽量做一些社会工作，不断增强自己的组织工作能力，以利于今后工作。
二、拓展自己知识视野，完善知识结构
（1）和理的知识结构是担任现代社会职业岗位的必要条件和人才成长的基础。
广博的知识视野是对人才适应社会岗位、应变环境的文化基础。
现代社会职业岗位所需要的不仅仅是知识结构合理，而是要求适时拓展自己的知识视野达到终身教育终身学习的境界。
只有这样，才能根据当今社会发展和职业的具体要求发展自己、完善自己，拓展所学到的知识，有所创造，适应新情况，解决新问题。
因此，大学生在校期间应打下宽厚、扎实、系统、严谨的知识基础及专业技能功底，才能适应工作性质的变动及职业结构调整的变化。
（2）掌握一技之长等于获取竞争特殊专业岗位的入场券。
大学生毕业后将从事专业方面工作，专业知识是大学生知识结构的特色所在。
有专业特长的毕业生要根据社会对人才评价的资格化倾向要求，不断充实和完善自己，使自己的资质也逐步融于社会化、客观化、公
平化、国际化评价标准之中。
如：在校期间开始参加相关资格考试获得国家有关部门职业资格证书。
职业资格证书是就业的通行证，为以后择业、评聘技术职务、薪酬晋升奠定了基础。
（3）掌握现代管理和人文社会知识为适应社会岗位的全方位要求奠定基础。
现代社会，需要大学生具有一定社会知识、经济管理知识和人文知识。
因此，大学生应利用专业学习的空余时间多读一些社会科管理方面的书籍，拓宽知识面，开阔视野，从而提高竞争力。
如：积极参加学校的社团活动，利用寒暑假到企事业单位进行社会调查，勤工俭学等活动，不断总结经验，提高社会活动能力和竞争能力。
（4）适时吸纳储备大容量的新信息、新知识，为拓展就业空间创造条件。
现代科学技术发展迅猛，只掌握本专业现阶段的知识很难与社会需要相适应。
