(摘自《2008考研英语高分写作》,王江涛编著,群言出版社)(一)总论对绝大多数中国同学来说,学英语就是背单词,单词是很多同学心中永远的痛。

词汇是写作的基石,要想取得写作高分,必须突破词汇。

但很多同学却陷入了背单词的误区。

有些同学喜欢抱着厚厚的词汇书背,企图一气呵成,结果一天背几十个就晕过去了。

有些同学喜欢拼写,每个单词都要写上几十遍,可往往写到第十遍的时候就已经丢了一个字母,结果变成不断强化自己的错误记忆。

还有的同学喜欢边拼边读,我曾见过一位同学把某一单词刻苦拼读了四五十次。

当她写了五十多次后,我问她这个词什么意思。

这位同学茫然地看了我一眼,重复了两遍读音,说忘了。

由此可见,机械惯性重复并不能达到真正的记忆。

科学的单词记忆方法应该分成三步:第一是快速突破,第二是详细了解,第三是实战运用。

上文已提到,真正运用于写作的单词不过2000余个。

绝大部分考研词汇并不需要掌握拼写和发音,只要“见其形,知其义”即可。

快速突破这些写作单词后,再找一本比较详细的词汇书或字典,了解其的英文解释、同义词、反义词、用法等,但并不需要全背下来。

最后就是在练习中体会单词在上下文中的具体用法。

(二)记忆秘笈很多同学平时词汇书背得很熟,上了考场却有如下几种反应:(1)这个词我背过;(2)我知道这个词在词汇书第几页;(3)这个词上面和下面的词我都记得;(4)我忘了这个词什么意思了。

笔者以前也有过这样的感觉,原因在于只按照一种顺序背单词。

背单词应该按照三种顺序:正序记忆、逆序记忆和乱序记忆。

绝大部分词汇书是按正序(即字母A~Z的顺序)编排的。

很多同学背A时信心百倍,背B时备受打击,背C时彻底崩溃,因此出现了很多C先生、D小姐。

书的A到C部分已经翻黑、翻烂了,而Z 那个部分还从来没看过。

显然,这样是不行的。

第一遍背单词可以正序记忆,从第一页看到第十页。

第二遍背单词应该采用逆序记忆,从第十页最后一个单词倒着往前背。

从第三遍开始进行乱序记忆,从第五、八页等开始,先往前背,后往后背,这样才能建立对应关系,彻底记住单词。

Interpreting what you hear---Changing Roles: Three people make a group: one speaks Chinese, one speaks English acting as the foreigner, one acts as interpreter. Then change roles. This is a good interpreting training method and is good for studying from one another. In addition, it may improve the responding ability and speed of students. Keeping a relaxed, natural and steady mood when listening to some materials. Intensive Reading: When we read the intensive articles, we should make notes of the new words and phrases and good sentences. After reading them, we may ask ourselves some questions about them by using such words: Who, What, Why, When and Where. 语法、词汇等基础知识的学习和听、说、读、写基本技能的训练是培养运用英语能力的前提。

掌握外语的过程,一般是先知识,再转化为听、说、读、写的技能。

扎实掌握和灵活运用语言知识是运用英语的基本条件。

注意时态和语态的运用
初中英语学八大时态,但是经常考试使用的只有五个,一般现在时、一般过去时、一般将来时、现在进行时、现在完成时。

我们需要理解这些时态的概念,熟记标志,准确运用。

英语学习需要练习
在中所学习的英语书还是较难的,会涉及一些高中的知识点,但是这些知识点既然在初中出现了,同学们也是可以掌握的。

英语学习方法总论Oral English:( 口语学习方法总汇)(1) . We study spoke n En glish so as to make oral com muni cati ons, so this order of importa nee of oral En glish study should be followed: Flue ncy, Accuracy, andAppropriate ness. Then listen to the composition and find out the room for improveme nt. The n make the same compositi on for two mi nu tes for the sec ond time and also record it. Retelli ng exercise: Retell some articles or En glish stories in our own words.复述练习:最简单也是最有效的口语学习方法.从治本上攻克英文的方法,特别适合初学者和中级学者,用自己的话背颂所听的英语故事或文章短文,应该大量地练习.(8) . Paying more attention to phrases and small words as one major shortcoming of Chinese En glish (especially Chin ese oral En glish) is that Chin ese stude nts tend to use big words in their oral language, but the idiomatic oral English is abundant with short, active and vivid phrases. And most of such phrases are made of small words.特别注意短语(词组)和小词的运用,中国式的英语尤其是口语一个很大的缺点就是中国学生喜欢用大词,而真正地道的英语口语确是充满着短小,活泼,生动的短语,富有生气.而这些短语大部分有小词构成.(10) Thinking in English.英语思维的培养。

1. 大量根据图片来了解生词的含义,故事的情节.这是少儿英语中常用的方法,也试用于成人•2. 习惯于使用英-英字典而不是英-汉字典会起相当重要的作用•3. 加强听力训练,尤其是听用英语解释英语的课程讲解•4. 如果没有机会拥有封闭的语言环境的话,就最好尝试一下自我封闭语言环境的创造与训练•如:强迫自己在一周内所有要表达的话,全部用英语表达•只要你能坚持一周,效果就相当明显,而无论你所表达的英语有多糟!.(11) . Keeping a relaxed, natural and steady mood when listening to some materials. Namely, to establish self-c on fide nee and to develop excelle nt psychological quality are esse ntial in the improveme nt of aural ability.在作听力练习时,力求保持放松,自然和稳定的心态.即建立自信心和培养良好的心理素质在听力提高中致关重要.C. We may make some simple no tes while liste ning, for examples, the n ames of people and places, time, age, distanee, occupation, figures and so on to get a better understanding of the content.在作听力练习时,我们可以作些简单的笔记,例如人名,地名,时间,年龄,职业,数字等以便更好地理解材料.当然还要以听为主.D. After readi ng them, we may ask ourselves some questi ons about them by using such words: Who, What, Why, Whe n and Where. Then try to an swer them in our own words.精读:在精读课文时,我们要把生词,词组,句型做成笔记.读后要试着用这些疑问词提问自己:谁,什么,何时,何地且努力用自己的话来回答.b. Extensive reading: We must train our ability to scan, skip and read fast. Reading speed: Three ways to improve our reading speed: 1) Reading the articles from the beginning to the end without intervals so to catch the rough idea of the articles on the whole.
