1.College Students and L earningSome students d on’t like to study. They are more interested in doing other kind of practical work or relaxing and enjoying themselves. The y say that it is no use learning the knowledge from textb ooks when you won’t use this at all in yourwhole life. Even when you look for a job, they won’t pay much attention to your academic records. They put more emphasis on who you are, where you are from and whom you know.In fact, it is very important for college students to study hard. Firstly, a college student without much knowledge wouldn’t be very useful to the society. What he can reward the society is very little. Secondly, he may hardly find a g o od job and live a respectable life on accou nt of lack of knowledge. This is also a great loss to himself when he couldn’t find a place i n the society. Finally, college students are you ng and energetic and a college provides the best place for them to grasp science and technolog y. If they can make full use of time, they are certain to learn something and improve themselves. Therefore, college students should realize the importance of learning and try to obtain as much knowledge as possible.2. FriendshipFriendship is the most precious thing in the world. No gold can buy I; no force can compel it. Everyone may have friendship no matter who he is, rich or poor, black or white, and male or female. Friendship is a warm hand when you are in trouble. Friendship is a happy song when you succeed.True friendship is rare, and the only way to get to it is through ou r own efforts. Show our true love and care for others and always be faithful to ou r friends. We should remember a friend in need is a friend indeed. When we seek friendship, we should never care ab out someone’s power and money. Treasure the true friendship that has built because they are difficult to gain in life.3. HobbiesDifferent people have different hobbies. Hobbies are activities in which one part icipates for amusement. A hobby can be anything, such as listening to music, playing various musical instruments, reading books, collecting stamps, going for spo rts and so on. It mainly depends on one’s interest and character. There is no d oubt that hobbie s have a great influence on people’s life and society. Good hobbies can benefit people in many ways. They are both helpful to people’s growth and development, either physically or spiritually. On the other hand, bad hobbies are harmful to people. For examp le. Excessive drinking and smoking not only affect study and work bu t also hurt one’s mind and b ody.4. A Successful Interv iewTo be successful in a job interview, you should show certain personal and professional qualities. You need to create a good impression in a limited time, usually from 30 to 45 minutes. You must take a positive impression which the interviewer will remember while he interviews other candidates. You should pay attention to some questions during the interview. First of all, you are expected to dress properly. The right clothes worn at the right time can win the respect of the interviewer. The first and lasting impressions of you is part ly determined b y the clothes you wear. Secondly, you should pay close attention to you r manner of speaking. Since speech is a reflection of personality, you should try to speak in a clear and loud voice to show your confidence. Finally, you should make full preparation for the position you are applying for. Talking abou t it in a professional way will impress the interviewer deeply. If you take all the problems into account, you will probably succeed in a job interview.5. SportsMany people have realized the importance of regular physical exercises. Physical exercises increase the blood circulation. It can strengthen our muscles and make our bodies strong. Physical exercises may prevent us from getting too fat and keep us healthy. Anyone who does not have a good health, can do nothing for his cou ntry.Sports can promote international communication and understanding. It is believed that international sports may create goodwill between nations. If countries play together they will learn to live together. Understanding comes from contact. International sports give different nations a chance to get to know each other. In this way, different cou ntries may have better understanding between each other.6. T he Positiv e and Negativ e E ffects of ComputersCompu ters are being used more and more extensively in the world today. They are far more efficient than hu man bein gs and have much better memories. They can store huge amounts of information and can d o very complicated calculations. In fact, compu ters can d o many of the things we do, but faster and better. However, the negative aspects of a compu ter-controlled world have also been shown clearly. First, the computer virus can destroy millions of machines in a minu te. This often results in the tremendous loss of data in the machine. Moreover, a completely new kind of crime has appeared. Some extremely intelligent people who know how a computer works --- the compu ter “experts” --- make huge amou nts of money b y cheating a compu ter, and it is very difficult to catch them.7. T he Problem of Heavy T rafficWith the development of economy and increase of population, cities in China have become increasingly crowded. As a result, streets are full of cars, buses and bicycles. This makes traffic jams a common encou nter for many people. It certainly causes much inconvenience and waste of time and efficiency. There are some possible solu tions to the problem. First of all, more investment should be pu t into the building of more highways to receive the heavy traffic flow on the streets. Next, more fly-over should be built to help pedestrians to pass the streets safely and cars and buses pass smoothly in the crowded areas.8. Good MannersIt is important to be with good manners when we come into contact with others. A person with good manners is always an agreeable companion, because he always thinks of others and respects others. If we are polite, kind, and helpful to others, we will be able to win over many friends. On the contrary, rude behaviors often lose friends and make life difficult.College students should learn to be with good manners in everyday life. Respect others and be friendly to those around us will certainly bring us great benefit. Good manners are, in fact, ways, by which to show people ou r respect and politeness and are absolutely not difficult to learn. What is more important is to learn to really polite to others.9. Forest FireMost forest fires are caused by human carelessness. Careless smokers are responsible for thousands of forest fires each year. Many of these are started when cigarette ends and matches are thrown from au tomobiles, Hu nters, fishermen, or woods workers who are careless with their smoking materials may also cause forest fires.Forest fires can be caused by nature. The most important natural cause of fire is lightening. This accounts for 11 percent of forest fires in the world. According to some studies, in the tropical areas, lightening causes a much hig her percentage of fires than it d oes in elsewhere.Forest fires have alread y brought abou t great losses to nations. Measures must be taken to protect or control the forest fires.10. K nowledge and DiplomaPeople usually connect knowledge with diploma. When you have got a certain amount of knowledge in a school or a university, you can get a diploma. A diploma is a ruler to measure whether a person is qualified after studying for a per iod of time. However, it doesn’t mean a person with rich knowledge should have a diploma. A person can get knowledge by himself --- studying or in practice. So a diploma cannot be used to measure a person’s ability for a certain job. On the other hand, we cannot take it for granted that a person with a siploma is knowledgeable. Some people make false diploma and even buy diplomas b y money.Knowledge and diploma d o have some connections, but we cannot judge a person only by his diploma.11. Competition and CooperationCompetition is very important since we live in a hig hly competitive society. C ompetition means people try to perform better than others at everything they do. People compete for the best u niversity, the best job, and even the best house. To some extent, competition is one of the motive forces of the development of society. At the same time, cooperation is also necessary for us. If a person cannot work with others well, he can hardly achieve any success. A football team can’t win a match unle ss each member can learn to cooperate with each other. In fact, competition and cooperation often g o hand in hand. In some cases, we can’t do competition withou t cooperation. They are equally important.12. About SmokingAttitude towards smoking vary from person to person. Some think smoking does more harm than good to smokers, and even to those who are expose to the smoking environment bu t do not smoke themselves. Heavy smokers are often found in various troubles. For example, they often suffer from lung cancer. Non-smokers, when expected to smoking now and then, will probably have a serious cough. Smoking does g reat harm to one’s health. However, others have a different opinion. They believe that non-smokers can also suffer from such diseases. Moreover, smoking can help one to concentrate one’s attention. Some people are so addict to it that they cannot work or live withou t cigarettes. Furthermore, they think a cigarette is a g ood way to start a social activity. We are puzzled when we are facing so many different attitudes. We often feel lost as to whose advice to follow. On the one hand, we are afraid that someday we will catch a disease of this kind or that kind. On the other hand, we are worried that without a cigarette, how can we start this with others, especially with strangers? It is hard to say whose idea is absolu tely right.13. T he Advantages and Disadvantages of InternetWith the development of compu ters, the Internet has become widely used. On the one hand, the Internet shows us a closer and wider world than ever before. Through the Internet we can discuss international crisis, football matches, or viewpoints on everything with known or u nknown people. The world seems smaller than before. Just staying at home, we can get all kinds of useful and latest information we need. We can do shopping, book tickets, look for a job and so on. On a word, Internet makes our life more convenient. However, on the other hand, Internet has also brought us many problems. First of all, there is too much rubbish on the net. A lot of useless and bad information is sent to us. It has led to the increasing difficulty in finding what we want. Moreover, time is wasted on playing games, and sometimes we become addicted to Internet withou t being able to come ou t of it.In my opinion, Internet plays a very important role in our modern life. There is no d oubt that Internet has contributed and will contribute greatly to our life. When we use it, we must be cau tious of its effects upon us.14. Adv ertisementAdvertisements exist widely in our daily life. No matter where and when we see them in newspapers magazines, on TV and radio, and even on the streets and buildings. We have to believe the fact that where there is a person there is an advert isement. Advertisements have almost become a part of our life. Nowadays we can hardly imagine what would happen if there were no advertisements.Advertisements d o have some effects on us. Advertisements are very useful to customers. They may inform the customers of the latest information abou t a new product, and what is on sale, how much it costs, and where to buy. However, some advertisements may mislead customers b y using part of the tru th to suggest something false. We should have a right attitude towards ad vertisements. First, we should weigh the truth of an ad vertisement. Then we ought to ask ourselves “What do we really need to buy?”. If we can d o these, advertisements will add more colors in our life.15. Diligence Is the K ey to SuccessDiligence is an important factor to one’s success. As the proverb says, “R ome was not built in a day”, knowledge cannot be acquired in a short time. Since knowledge is accu mulated little by little, it is ad visable for you ng people to study diligently. We all know “No pains, no gains”. Without hardwo rking, there is no success.Laziness is most harmful. It makes us useless because if we do not study and work hard we shall not be able to earn a living in the society. It doesn’t matter if you are not very clever. Diligence can make up for the lack of int elligence. Bu t if you are very lazy, you are hopeless. We cannot imagine a lazy man can make any success. However, some people believe in luck. They think it is one’s luck that determined one’s success. They believe those who have achieved success only because of g ood luck. They just wait for such a chance. In fact, there is no royal road to success. Diligence is the key to success.16.Positiv e and Negativ e Aspects of SportsGoing to sports is an important part of our life. We often play football or enjoy other outd oor activities in our free time. There are two major aspects of sports, good and bad.In the positive aspect, sport helps us streng then ou r physical body and build our competitive and cooperative mind. B y enjoying it, we also can relax ourselves. On the other hand, in the negative aspect, sport may throw us into the risk of getting ourselves hurt. Some immoral people use sports for such bad purposes as gambling, and these things can be often seen from the screen and newspapers.I like sport because it always gives me chances to enjoy myself. When I kick the ball into the goal in a football game, I feel that I am the hero and I think everyone likes that feeling. Why still waiting there? Join us in the sports now!17. M y M ost Fav orite ProgramMy most favorite TV program is “To Tell the Tru th”. It is shown on CC TV-2 every Saturday evening. The program is a free conversation abou t some special topic. Those who are concerned or interested in the topic are invited to discuss about it. They can express their own points of view, just as the name of the program suggests. The topic of the program is close to our daily life, that is to say, most people are concerned ab out it and something to say. So, there are always some penetrating remarks, which make the program really alive. Besides, the compere of the program, Mr.Cui Yongyuan, is an intelligent and well-mannered man with a good sense of hu mor. It is him that makes the program even more interesting and attractive.I am fond of this program because it helps me to u nderstand things around us to a deeper level, and more importantly, gives me some good advice on may of them.18. Can M oney Buy Happiness? At present, quite a few people think money is the source of happiness. It sou nds good because, with enough money, you can buy what you want and what can make your life easy and comfortable. Therefore, many people think money is the basis o f happiness. On the contrary, there is a famous saying that money is the root of all evil. Many people die for money, lie for money, fight for money, and even sell their souls to Devil in desire of money. All these evils, which may cause city crimes to large scale, are u nder the very control of money. In my opinion, money itself can neither buy happiness nor cause evil. It is the attitude toward money that determines whether it is good or evil. To treat money with an ordinary mind will help you to get happiness. Besides, it should be always remembered that one should earn legally and use it properly.19.E nvironmental PollutionOur living conditions are getting worse and worse because of the pollu tion of our environment. Waste water running ou t of the factories has pollu ted the sources of water, such as rivers and seas. Waste gases coming from factories and cars have pollu ted the air. Both polluted water and air are harmful to our health and d o great damage to our surrou ndings. It is very necessary to take measures to protect our environment. Much considerations and serious researches should be done to ensure some measures be found in the near fu ture. All human beings share the earth and its resources. If we don’t take any actions to slow down the environmental pollu tion, we may hardly survive in the world some day. Some measures have been checked and cars should be equipped with special devices to reduce au to emissions(散发)。

1My Summer Vacation AdventuresHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 10 years old. I just got back from my summer vacation and boy oh boy, did I have some awesome adventures! I went to two different places this year - first we went camping up in the mountains, and then we visited my aunt and uncle down in Florida. Both trips were super fun and I have so many great stories to tell you about!Let me start with the camping trip first. My mom, dad, little sister Susie, and I loaded up our trusty minivan and drove way up into the Appalachian mountains. We stayed at this really cool campground right next to a huge lake. Our campsite was surrounded by tall pine trees and everything smelled so fresh and outdoorsy. As soon as we got our tent set up, my dad took me and Susie down to the lake to do some fishing. We didn't catch anything huge, but I did reel in a few little sunfish which was really exciting! Later that night, we had a campfire and roasted marshmallows. Iprobably ate about 20 of those gooey, sugary things...no wonder I had a bellyache later! The next couple days were filled with all kinds of fun outdoor activities. We went on a long hike one day and saw a family of deer up close. I've never been that near a wild deer before - it was amazing! My dad pointed out different birds, trees, and animal tracks along the trail too. Another day we rented a little rowboat and went out on the lake. We didn't go too far from shore since Susie was a bit nervous, but it was still really peaceful and relaxing. One of the highlights was when we drove up into the highest part of the mountains to go whitewater rafting! The river was really rushing that day after a huge rainstorm. Our rafting guide gave us all the paddling instructions and off we went, bouncing over the big rapids and waves. At one point, Susie and I both fell into the freezing cold water! We were only in there for a few seconds before the guide pulled us back in, but we were both shivering like crazy. What an adventure! After a fun-filled week of camping, it was time to head down to sunny Florida to visit my aunt and uncle. We stayed at their house right near the beach, which was awesome. Every morning I would wake up early and run outside to watch the sunrise overthe ocean. The colors were just beautiful, with oranges, pinks, and purples all blending together. Some mornings I would see dolphins swimming and jumping through the waves too!My aunt and uncle took us to do so many cool things in Florida. One day we visited this awesome aquarium that had enormous tanks with sharks, rays, and all kinds of tropical fish. We even got to go through an underwater tunnel and have the fish swimming all around us - it felt like we were in their world!Another day we went on an airboat ride through the Everglades. Our guide was pointing out alligators, turtles, and tons of cool wading birds as we zipped across the swamps and marshes. At one point, our boat flew right over a sunning alligator and I swear it felt like we were just a few feet away from its giant jaws! I don't think I've ever had such an adrenaline rush before. On our last night there, we went to watch a space launch from Cape Canaveral! It was absolutely incredible to see that huge rocket blasting off into the sky with a trail of fire behind it. I've always dreamed of becoming an astronaut, so watching a real launch in person was just about the coolest thing ever.Well, I could go on and on about all the fun I had, but I suppose I should wrap this up. Summer may be over, but I haveso many wonderful memories from these amazing trips with my family. Getting to experience the outdoors while camping, learn about nature, try new adventures like whitewater rafting, see incredible wildlife in Florida, splash in the ocean every day, and even witness a rocket launch...I feel like the luckiest kid ever! I can't wait for next summer to see what exciting travels and escapades are in store. But for now, it's time to head back to school with lots of stories to tell my friends!篇2My Summer VacationHooray, summer is finally here! No more getting up early, no more homework, and no more boring classes. Just three whole months of fun and freedom! I couldn't wait for the adventures that awaited me.The first week was amazing. Mom let me sleep in as late as I wanted. I stayed up watching movies until midnight a few nights. We went to the water park and I went down the huge slides over and over until my skin was all pruney. I had Pizza Hut for dinner two nights in a row – my favorite! But after that first glorious week, I started to get a little bored. Sure, I could play video games all day if I wanted, but thatgot old fast. There's only so many times you can beat the same levels. I tried reading some books, but I had a hard time sitting still for too long. I bounced between about five different books, never finishing any of them. That's when Mom suggested I start a summer journal to record all my adventures and activities. She gave me this cool notebook with puppies on the cover. At first, I rolled my eyes. A journal? How lame! But I was quickly running out of things to do, so I figured why not give it a shot.I started writing about the typical stuff - what I had for breakfast, which video games I played, who I chatted with online. But after a few days, it got kind of boring just listing out the mundane events of my days. So I started getting more creative with my entries. One day, I pretended I was a famous explorer who had crashlanded on a deserted island. I wrote all about how I built a shelter, gathered food and water, and tried to get rescued. Another time, I imagined I had been shrunk down to the size of an ant. I described crawling through the thick blades of grass, climbing up the steep driveway, and getting stalked by a praying mantis. It was like creative writing mixed with journaling. Before I knew it, I was filling up page after page with wild stories and silly adventures, all straight from my imagination. I'd spend hours working on a single entry, carefully describing all the details and adding little illustrations in the margins. My journal had quickly become my favorite summer project.Aside from my writing, I also tried to keep busy with other activities. I had a lemonade stand a few times and made some decent pocket money. I volunteered to help my elderly neighbors by pulling weeds and doing yardwork. I took art classes at the community center and made messy masterpieces with finger paints and clay. I even tried to learn some basic coding through an online tutorial, though that was perhaps a bit too ambitious for me!One of the highlights was definitely the camping trip my family took over the 4th of July weekend. We drove way out into the countryside to this basic campsite nestled alongside a beautiful lake. We pitched our tent, went hiking and canoeing, cooked s'mores over the campfire, and watched an incredible fireworks display. That weekend was so peaceful and serene, a wonderful break from the noise and rush of normal life.As the months flew by, I found myself looking back at the earlier entries and being amazed at how much my writing skillshad improved. My descriptions were becoming richer, my vocabulary was expanding, and I was better at setting scenes and building suspense in my stories. I felt like a real author! All too soon, it was time to put away my journal and get ready to go back to school. Part of me was sad to see summer end, but I was also excited to continue growing as a writer and sharing my stories with others. Maybe I'll even publish my journal someday and become a famous children's author!Overall, it was one of the best, most creative, and most productive summers I've ever had, all because of that journal. I can't wait to see what kind of adventures and stories await me next year. But for now, it's time to hit the books again. See you next summer!篇3My Big Book of Awesome Essays!Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. I love writing stories and essays for school. Here is a huge collection of short essays I've written on all kinds of fun topics. Maybe they can help you with your English homework too! Let's go!My Best FriendMy bestest friend in the whole wide world is Sam. We've known each other since we were tiny babies! Sam is the funniest person I know and he always makes me laugh with his silly jokes. We love playing soccer together at recess and riding our bikes after school. Even though we argue sometimes, Sam will always be my number one best friend forever. My Favorite FoodIf I had to pick a favorite food, it would definitely be pizza! I love cheese pizza best, but I also really like pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers. My mouth waters just thinking about a hot, melty, delicious pizza pie! Mmm! I could eat pizza every day and never get tired of it. Well, maybe I'd get a tummy ache after a while...but it would be worth it!A Scary StoryOne night, I woke up thirsty, so I tiptoed to the kitchen for a glass of water. Suddenly...a GHOST jumped out from behind the fridge! It had no eyes and its bony fingers were reaching out to grab me! I screamed at the top of my lungs and...woke up my mom. It was just a silly nightmare, but I couldn't stop shaking for hours! No more telling scary stories before bedtime.(...26 more short essays omitted for brevity...)What I Want To Be When I Grow UpWhen I'm a grown-up, I think I want to be a zookeeper! Can you imagine getting to hang out with awesome animals like lions, tigers, elephants, and gorillas every single day? That would be a dream come true! I'd make sure all the animals had huge fields to run and play in, and I'd learn to speak their different languages so we could be best friends. Roar! Becoming a zookeeper is definitely my number one goal. The End! I hope you enjoyed my book of essays. Maybe next time you have to write for school, you can use some of these as inspiration. Just add your own personal experiences and creativity. Writing is fun when you get practice! Keep on writing, my friends!篇4My Summer Vacation AdventureHooray, summer vacation was finally here! No more pencils, no more books for two whole months. I was so excited to have all that free time to play and go on adventures. This summer was going to be the best one yet, I could feel it in my bones. The first week went by in a blur of sleeping late, watching cartoons, and playing video games. But soon I started to get bored just sitting around the house all day. That's when I got the great idea to go exploring in the woods behind my neighborhood. My parents had always warned me not to go in there alone, but this time I decided I was old enough to handle a little adventure on my own.I packed a backpack with some snacks, bottled water, and a compass, just in case I got lost. I told my mom I was going to the park to meet some friends, since I knew she'd never let me tromp around in the forest by myself. With a spring in my step, I headed off to find some excitement. The first part of the woods was pretty tame, just a dirt path winding between the trees. But the further I went, the denser and wilder it became. Soon I was pushing branches aside and clambering over fallen logs. I loved the way the sunlight filtered through the green leaves and how everything smelled so fresh and earthy.Up ahead I spotted a treehouse! My heart started pounding with anticipation. Treehouses were the ultimate clubs for young explorers like me. I had to check it out. Throwing caution to the wind, I scrambled up the rickety wooden ladder. The treehouse looked like it had been abandoned for years. The windows were busted out and there were cobwebs in every corner. Still, I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I imagined myself as the leader of a secret club of adventurers who met here to plan expeditions and swap stories. For a while I got lost in my fantasies, basking in the treehouse's mysterious atmosphere.Eventually my stomach reminded me that I'd better start heading back before my parents missed me. I carefully climbed back down and tried to get my bearings. Which way had I come from? Everything looked the same amid the tall trees and undergrowth.I walked for what felt like hours, slowly realizing that I was completely turned around. Panic started to set in as I tried unsuccessfully to find a familiar landmark or path. What if I had to spend the night in these creepy woods all alone? Tears pricked my eyes but I blinked them back, determined not to be a crybaby.Just when I thought I might be stuck out here forever, I heard a wonderful sound in the distance - traffic on the main road that ran near our neighborhood! Following the noise, I finally stumbled out of the woods and into a backyard on theother side. I had never been so relieved to see a suburban house and freshly mowed lawn in my life.It took some time to get my bearings and find my way back home from the unfamiliar neighborhood. By the time I walked through our front door, my parents were frantic with worry. I received the longest lecture of my life about being honest and not wandering off into dangerous places alone. Believe me, I learned my lesson that day!Although it was a scary experience at the time, I look back on it now as one of the biggest adventures of my childhood. From then on, my parents were a little more willing to let me go explore with friends as long as we stuck to safer areas. And I appreciated home and security a whole lot more after getting lost in those dark, bewildering woods. It gave me just enough of a taste of real adventure to last me for a while! The rest of that summer I spent going to the pool, having sleepovers, and hanging out closer to home. But sometimes when I'd look out at the forest edging our neighborhood, I'd get a familiar flutter of excitement in my chest remembering my treehouse escapade. Those woods still seemed to hold endless possibilities for adventure and mystery, if you were brave enough to explore them. And after that day, I knew I was.篇5My Amazing School LifeHi there! My name is Emily and I'm a 10-year-old student in the 5th grade. Today, I want to tell you all about my amazing school life! Are you ready? Let's go!First of all, I love my school so much. It's a big building with lots of classrooms, a huge playground, and even a swimming pool! The best part is the library – it's like a magical wonderland filled with books about every topic you can imagine. I could spend hours in there reading about dinosaurs, outer space, or anything else that catches my interest. My favorite class is probably science. Our teacher, Mr. Johnson, always does the coolest experiments! Just last week, we made little volcanoes out of baking soda and vinegar. It was so awesome watching them erupt and fizz everywhere. I also really enjoy art class because I love drawing, painting, and just being creative in general. The best part of each day is lunchtime! I pack my lunch from home and it's so nice to take a break, hang out with my friends, and recharge. We love trading snacks and telling silly jokes tomake each other laugh. Recess is fun too – we play games like tag, jump rope, or just run around and let off some energy. After school, I'm part of the drama club. We're rehearsing for our big spring play, which is going to be a musical version of The Wizard of Oz! I'm playing one of the munchkins and I'm super excited. We've been working really hard, memorizing lines and learning the dance numbers. I hope my parents are ready because I've been practicing my songs nonstop at home!On the weekends, I try to keep up with my homework so I don't fall behind. Reading assignments, math worksheets, writing essays...it never ends! But I don't mind too much since I know it's important for my education. My parents are always saying that the more I apply myself now, the farther I'll go in life.I definitely want to get good grades so I can get into a great college someday.Overall, I feel so lucky and grateful to have awesome teachers, nice classmates, and lots of fun opportunities at my school. We even have annual field trips to places like the aquarium, the science museum, or the local firehouse. It's so cool getting to go on adventures and learn about the world beyond our classroom!Sometimes, sure, there are rough days. A tough assignment, a fight with a friend, or just feeling stressed out in general. But at the end of the day, I really do love being a student. I'm making wonderful memories and growing so much, both academically and as a person. School is definitely preparing me for bigger and better things down the road.Well, that's my life as an elementary school kid! I told you it was pretty amazing, didn't I? I've still got a few more years until middle school, so I plan to soak up every last moment. Who knows what other incredible experiences are waiting for me? I can't wait to find out! Thanks for reading my story. Study hard and stay awesome!篇6My Big Summer AdventureSummer vacation is the best time of the year! No school, no homework, just fun all day long. This summer was extra special because my family went on a big trip to the mountains. We stayed in a cabin right next to a beautiful lake and did all sorts of exciting outdoor activities. It was the adventure of a lifetime! The first day we got to the cabin, I could barely contain my excitement. We had driven for what felt like forever, but it was soworth it when we finally arrived. The cabin was made of real wood logs and had a huge deck overlooking the sparkling blue lake. Inside it smelled like a campfire and had cool antler chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. My little brother and I raced to claim the best bedrooms - I got the one with the bear wallpaper border. After unpacking our stuff, we couldn't wait to explore outside. We found a little trail through the trees that led right down to the lake's edge. The water was cold but felt amazing on a hot summer day. We spent hours skipping rocks, building sand castles, and attempting to swim although the icy temperature made that hard! That night we made s'mores around the fire pit and watched the stars come out one by one. I had never seen so many stars before with no city lights to drown them out. It felt like magic.Over the next few days, we stayed busy with all sorts of activities. One morning we went hiking up into the mountains. The trail was rocky at times but the views from the top were breathtaking - we could see forever! I spotted a deer, my dad pointed out cool wildflowers, and my little brother found a walking stick that he refused to let go of. Another day we rented a little motorboat and got to explore the whole lake. We fishedfor trout but didn't catch anything, spotted a bald eagle soaring high above, and found a secret cove to have a picnic lunch. My favorite adventure though was our whitewater rafting trip. We had to drive kind of far to get to the rafting place, but it was worth it. After gearing up in helmets and life jackets, we got into these huge rubber rafts and set off down the raging river. The current was incredibly strong in some parts and we got drenched as we crashed through the churning rapids. Our guide had us all paddling together to steer the raft and make it through okay. At one point we got stuck on a rock and had to work as a team to get unstuck. It was scary but so exhilarating! In the calmer stretches we could look around at the gorgeous scenery of pine trees and rocky cliffs surrounding us. I'll never forget that day. When we got back to the cabin each evening, we were always exhausted but happy. We'd relax on the porch playing games, reading books, and watching for wildlife visitors as the sun went down. A few deer wandered by almost every night. One time we saw a black bear lumbering through the trees before quickly heading the other way when it noticed us. We made a campfire and roasted hot dogs almost every night. The sparks would drift up into the starry sky as we gazed at the flames.Sometimes we'd hear coyotes howling in the distance which sent chills up my spine. It all felt like being in a wild outdoorsy movie. Before we knew it, our week in the mountains was up and it was time to head back home. I was really sad to leave our cozy cabin and all the beauty and fun of the great outdoors. As we drove away, I turned around for one last look at the shimmering lake surrounded by the majestic peaks. I'm already counting down the days until we can go back next summer!Overall, it was the best vacation I've ever had. We made so many incredible memories together as a family. Going on adventures and exploring new places is the greatest way to spend summer. Now when I dream about summer vacation, I picture towering mountains, serene lakes, and the thrill of outdoor activities. Most of all I cherish the amazing quality time with my loved ones, away from the distractions and busyness of everyday life. I feel so lucky to have experienced such an amazing summer in the mountains and can't wait for my next big adventure!。
